The power of nature is infinite.

The power of environment is infinite.

A stroke of luck got me into the reconnaissance company, which I never expected. My glorious deeds had an impact on the whole regiment, and as a result, no platoon in the reconnaissance company dared to accept me. Everyone wants obedient soldiers, and the reconnaissance company is no exception.

In the end, Miao Lianchang said you can be my clerk. The old clerk was a veteran sergeant, and Miao Lianchang had always wanted to throw him down to be a squad leader, to lead soldiers properly. Don't think that being a clerk is just about typing and helping the company commander with internal affairs, it's not that simple. I thought so too at first, but when the old clerk handed over the work to me, I realized how complicated things were.

I never really understood other troops, but in our regiment's reconnaissance company, those who could serve as clerks were the most excellent officers. Not only did they have a slightly higher cultural level, but more importantly, their military quality had to be quite strong. How can I put it? Simply put, they were both civil and martial, and we don't need to mention the literary aspect of being a clerk, right? But how many people know about the martial aspect of being a clerk?

The document should first be familiar with the annual training plan, and according to the General Staff's training outline and the brigade's annual training plan, a relatively mature plan table should be drawn up for reference by the company commander. Various reconnaissance soldiers need to practice subjects, from personal to company-level scale to final synthetic exercises, all of which must be well understood, how can you do this if you are not proficient? Quick thinking is secondary.

Secondly, the maintenance of the platoon's weapons and ammunition is a mess. My god! I had disassembled and reassembled the 81mm mortar in boot camp, but after entering the armory and seeing so many different types of guns, I almost went crazy. If you're not familiar with these firearms, how can you use them? Not to mention those reconnaissance equipment, it's pointless to even talk about it. You guys don't understand, and I don't want to say anything either. My predecessor, Old Wen, was a soldier who rose through the ranks to become a squad leader, and he used to be known as the "King of Guns" in the reconnaissance platoon, you can imagine his military quality.

Then I was asked to assist the company commander in writing the training plan and teaching methods for our company. What do I know about that? To be honest, I'm not a military enthusiast, being a soldier is a huge mistake, my understanding of military affairs before joining the army was far inferior to yours. Even now, I don't know much about the knowledge of naval and air forces that many military enthusiasts are familiar with. I haven't studied any of these things, how can I help the company commander summarize and write training materials? Isn't this pushing me to jump off a building?

Finally, being a clerk does not mean that one is exempt from participating in various assessments. The reconnaissance company is the most trained unit in any army, with a qualification rate of 100%, and even the cooks have to take turns going down to the combat training class. How can it be said that clerks are easy-going when they also think that being a clerk is easy? Not one subject in the reconnaissance company can be skipped!

There are even more miscellaneous things, and I myself can't remember them all.

The old man handed over the documents and left, leaving me a pile of things to deal with. Now I'm really at my wit's end, Miao Lianzhang doesn't care about this at all, every day he's shouting: "Xiao Zhuang! What's this and that?!" Later I joked with Miao Lianzhang, saying that back then I was his website with the highest click-through rate. As a result, he blinked his eyes, what's click-through rate? Alas... some people just can't be taught.

I started spinning around like a top.

Who made me unwanted by every squad leader?

Every morning at 5 o'clock, I rush to get up and go out for a run of 10,000 meters, so that my muscles don't waste away. Then I return and the platoon leader gets up, and I have to serve him hot water, toothpaste, towels, and other chores. Next, the morning training begins, and I have to follow the platoon's training. The platoon leader doesn't really like me, but I don't care about that. As a new recruit, if I didn't follow the training, all I would know is how to run and basic infantry skills. Luckily, he also doesn't dare to scold me. The three squad leaders and several dozen soldiers in the platoon are quite enthusiastic towards me, perhaps because I took care of Old Cannon. At that time, I began to understand what it means to have a mass base: you help the masses vent their anger, and that's your mass base. Old Cannon is an old hand in our regiment, with one set of rules on the surface and another behind his back. No squad leader dares to provoke him. What I said earlier was actually polite, because I didn't want everyone to have a bad impression of Old Cannon, but as I write more, I don't care about that anymore.

Then I rushed back to the cafeteria before dinner was served to prepare for the company commander, deputy company commander, and deputy instructor's meals, bowls, chopsticks, tables, chairs, and stools. I also had to work with the cooking team to cut up fresh fruit for the company commander's dessert... After the company commander finished eating, I had to eat at the same table, not daring to eat too much myself, keeping my eyes sharp, refilling any empty bowls immediately, and quickly going down to ask the cooking team to bring up another plate of whatever dish the company commander liked... When finished, I hastily arranged the small stools in front of the cafeteria door, as the company commander would chat with others after dinner... After the company commander took a nap, I snuck into the armory to study and practice disassembling and maintaining various firearms on my own... In the afternoon, it was the same routine again - training wasn't over yet, so I rushed back to prepare for dinner... After the company commander rested, I entered the armory again, spending the whole night studying guns and various reconnaissance equipment...

At that time, I was walking in a daze and suddenly thought, how did I become like this?

The power of environment to change people is infinite. You stay in the army, with a stubborn temper, every day is the same set of military orders, and it's enough to transform you through subtle influence...

As for the poetry collection? Not translating it, no time.

I'm currently translating all sorts of military equipment manuals and training outlines, as well as a bunch of reference materials...

In my early days in the reconnaissance company, I was both a clerk and an unnamed scout. Every day, after intense physical training, I would study clerical work with a tired body. Now thinking back, how did I get through that time? It's really unbearable to recall.

From this, I have come to a truth: people are never without a way out. When people say they have no way out, it means they haven't been forced enough. Once they're forced to the limit, they'll find a way out.

When I wake up painfully in the morning, I always think, when will this kind of day come to an end?!
