Chapter 19: Shooting Prisoners of War
The wrong tactics are still in use, after the hand grenades were thrown, they became howitzers, blasting out craters on the sandy beach hundreds of meters away.
The defenders' mercenaries, who were somewhat perplexed by this tactic, felt a great sense of unease. The lurker was their old nemesis, and Black Hawk was a mercenary commander notorious for his strategic deployments. Every one of his orders had an unfathomable depth to it, affecting the entire battle.
With a strong sense of doubt, the defender neither retreated nor advanced, still staying there and exchanging fire with the ambusher.
The ambushers who had finished shooting continued to fire under the leadership of Black Hawk, but this kind of shooting was completely ineffective. Both sides were the most elite mercenaries and knew how to better protect themselves. In a situation with cover, they could guarantee avoiding the opponent's bullets.
For a time, both sides seemed to have reached an impasse, the end of the impasse was to see who would run out of bullets first, whoever ran out of bullets first would die first.
"Bastards, your captain can barely hold his own against me in a fair fight!" Black Hawk spat out a wad of phlegm with an air of nonchalance.
In the distance, two large iron balls appeared silently on the surface of the sea behind the guardian's back, slowly drifting to the shallow beach and quietly moored there.
Under the cover of gunfire, none of the defenders' mercenaries had time to look back. They were worried about the tactics that the Black Hawk in front of them wanted to implement. Because the hidden attacker's move just now was really too surprising, they guessed that the Black Hawk would definitely have a winning tactic appear.
As the two large iron balls were left in the shallows, Swarte emerged from the water wearing a frogman suit. He broke the surface and held out his palms, first with the backs and then with the fronts, before silently diving again and swimming towards the deeper waters.
"Countdown." Seeing Swort's gesture, the Black Hawk gave a signal: "Ten, nine, eight, seven..."
Snipers cease fire and reload.
Three!
Two!
One!
When the countdown reached one, a deafening roar shook the beach as two magnetic sea mines that Swyte had silently towed to the shore exploded violently.
"Boom!!!" Mines designed to destroy warships have dozens of times the power of infantry mines, they are sea mines in water and two incredibly powerful bombs on land.
The entire beach was blown upside down by the two magnetic sea mines, and the seawater was instantly pushed out. Two flames roared up. The most terrifying thing was the shrapnel ejected from the magnetic sea mine during the explosion, which cut through the air that obstructed them at an extremely fast speed, howling and cutting in all directions and angles.
Apart from this, the sea water mixed with a large amount of sand and gravel poured over the coast line less than 100 meters away, and the mercenary guards rushed past.
The guards who heard the explosion behind them immediately realized that something was wrong, but it was already too late. The bursting fragments let out a fierce howl and tore towards their bodies. A wave of dizziness came over them, followed by the yellow sand and seawater which heavily pounded them onto the beach.
"Charge!" The Black Eagle gave a dashing gesture, gun in hand, leading the mercenaries to swiftly break through the 200-meter distance and take control of the heavily damaged Defender mercenaries.
Eight defenders were killed or wounded in the shrapnel attack, two of them died and two were seriously injured. One unlucky guy was cut open from his crotch by a shrapnel that got stuck in his breastbone. His internal organs spilled out, emitting a nauseating bloody smell.
"Hey, good afternoon." Omo flashed a cruel smile, he tossed the Gatling gun to the ground, pulled out a large-caliber revolver, and stroked his chin as he swept his gaze back and forth over the six survivors.
Pandora rubbed her eyebrow bone heavily, and due to the excessive force, the wound that had stopped bleeding cracked open again, and a strand of dark red blood seeped out.
Dagger and Sickle immediately returned to the mountains to take care of Flashpoint, who was seriously injured, and placed him on a folding stretcher.
"Bang!" "Bang!" "Rat-a-tat-tat..."
The sound of sniper rifles and handguns could be heard from a distance, indicating that the battle was still far from over.
"Anqi'er." Zhao Ziyang looked in the direction of the gunshot.
"Don't worry about Angie." Pandora pulled out a white handkerchief and wiped her hands as she spoke, "Angie is with Mandrake. The two of them can take down a sniper easily."
The white towel was left on the ground after Pandora wiped her hands, and then she moved like lightning, cutting off a mercenary's neck with one knife, and then smiled brightly at the opponent's severed neck artery spraying out fresh blood.
A "hiss" sound, a blood arrow shot onto Zhao Ziyang's face, forcing him to turn his cheek.
"Huh... huh..." The guardian, whose throat had been cut off, grasped his own throat with both hands, and the gushing blood flowed out along his arms, dyeing a patch of ground red.
After struggling for a short while, this mercenary fell on the beach with his eyes wide open and died.
"It's meaningless." Pandora casually wiped her military knife and walked away with large strides after lightly killing a defender.
The remaining defenders saw their companion's death and felt a chill in their hearts. In the world of mercenaries, there was no such thing as taking prisoners - only death awaited those who failed.
"I'm giving you a chance." Black Eagle said to the remaining five defenders, "If you're willing to leave the Defenders, I can spare your lives. However..."
"Bang! Bang! Bang!" Three gunshots rang out, and the three closest bodyguards to Zhao Ziyang's side each had a bullet hole appear in their forehead, their bodies going limp as they crashed to the ground.
Zha Zi-yang, holding a pistol in his right hand, wiped away the blood on his face and said: "Boss, I object!"
As they spoke, Zhao Ziyang pressed his pistol against the head of another guard and said in a cold tone: "The guards didn't give us a chance."
Bang!
The bullet pierced through the mercenary's forehead, exiting from the back of his head, and a stream of blood splashed onto the ground, forming a different kind of beauty.
The guardian indeed did not give Zhao Ziyang and his men a chance, he joined the lurkers just to avenge himself, the way of revenge is to kill people, whether in battle or facing disarmed lurker mercenaries. He would have no mercy at all, under the clear purpose of revenge, he was a madman who could not be surpassed by anyone.
"Leave one..."
Bang!
The last guardian mercenary fell to the ground and was shot dead by Zhao Ziyang.
"Whatever," Zhao Ziyang shrugged, mimicking the Western gesture he had picked up from his surroundings, and said nonchalantly, "I'm a mercenary."
The black eagle silently stared at Zhao Ziyang for half a day, finally giving up on what he wanted to say. The special forces had been suppressed for too long, and letting him kill a few hidden enemies might be good for him, but the ones he killed were all prisoners.
"Head, the special forces are too unfair, they've killed them all and I haven't even had a chance to play Russian roulette." Ao Mo was extremely dissatisfied and reported to Hei Ying, reluctantly putting away the M500 revolver that could hunt down an elephant.
Hei Ying still didn't speak, but he suddenly felt a faint sense of desolation from Zhao Ziyang's body. However, this feeling only flashed by and turned back into thick killing intent.
Apart from Pandora, the killing machine that can remain calm after killing, no one else would be unaffected. Killing in battle is one thing, but massacring prisoners of war is another. The mercenary group's Mandrake uses torture to kill as a means of interrogation; Olmo plays Russian roulette with his life as a gamble; while Pandora kills simply out of habit.
Zhao Ziyang cannot be unmoved, although his reason is to avenge. This form of killing is the first time for him, and he killed five people in one breath. The feeling after killing is probably only known to himself.
In the distance to the north, Angel and Mandroid appeared, completing their sniper mission and reuniting with Black Hawk and others.
"Fall back!" He waved his hand and made a sound to signal retreat.
"Wait!" Zhao Ziyang suddenly thought of something and quickly squatted down to search the bodies of these dead mercenaries.
Valuables such as military knives, lighters, wireless radios, belts and watches were all looted by Zhao Ziyang, who stuffed them into his backpack in a daze, leaving his teammates stunned.
"Haha......" Zhao Ziyang smiled and said, "A watch like this can be sold for 10,000 to 20,000 yuan back home. Every little bit counts, every little bit counts."
Regarding Zhao Ziyang's behavior of plucking the goose, Hei Ying shook his head and smiled, but his eyebrows furrowed. He saw Zhao Ziyang's dual personality, one side cold-blooded and bloodthirsty, the other sunny and lovely. This is good, but this kind of dual personality is most prone to severe mental illness, and it will get worse quickly, only needing a few more battles to become apparent.
This is a fighting talent who can remain calm and turn the tide in critical moments. If he suffers from severe mental illness, the special forces will be utterly destroyed...
"What are you doing?" Angie stared coldly at Zhao Ziyang, with a strong sense of disgust rising up towards his actions.
Anqi'er was born into a noble family and would naturally look down on such behavior of taking advantage of the dead to get rich.
"Pick up the money." Zhao Ziyang patted his backpack and smiled at An Qi'er: "I have to return Pandora's money."
"Special forces, you're really great." Pandora timely praised Zhao Ziyang, with a radiant smile on her face.
"Damn it!" Angie glared at Zhao Ziyang, then ignored him and turned to report to Heiying: "Captain, the sniper has escaped."
Did he get away? The mercenaries around them all had looks of incredulity on their faces, and the number of snipers who managed to escape from Angel's hands could be counted on one hand.
"He's a fox hunter." Mandala added.
"Uh-huh. First, retreat and settle the Spark Point, other things can be discussed later." Black Eagle nodded, having no doubt that Hunter Fox was able to escape from Angel's hands.
A cruise ship is approaching in the distance, and mercenaries are boarding the ship to leave Fogel Island. The mission has failed, with one person seriously injured. No, it should be said that the mission hasn't even started yet, but a sniper has already been seriously injured. The main force of the defenders is not here, they have long since followed the Norwegian army to Afghanistan.
The mission has just begun, and Afghanistan is the real place of the mission.
