Exodus 2

Volume 1 North Africa Chapter 11 Moses 2

And they did not know how long they had walked, until the crowd finally saw the opposite shore. The pillar of fire that blocked the Egyptians also disappeared, and Ramses saw the miracle performed by Jehovah, and his heart was both sad and angry. He ordered the soldiers to follow the road at the bottom of the sea to pursue Moses and the Hebrews.

The Egyptian soldiers were all young and strong, while the Hebrews included men, women, children and elderly. So the Egyptian soldiers moved quickly at the bottom of the sea. Finally, all the Hebrews walked up to the shore, while the Egyptian soldiers were just tens of meters behind them in the sea. At this time, Moses waved his staff, and the sky-high seawater immediately filled the place that was just a road. All the Egyptian soldiers were buried at sea.

Ramses saw his soldiers all dead in the sea and burst into tears. Moses led the crowd towards their destination once again.

The danger was over; the Hebrews' gratitude knew no bounds. All were silently and devoutly praying in their hearts. They all followed Moses, who continued to hurry on his way.

But the situation was not entirely satisfactory. After a period of time, the Hebrews had consumed all the grain they carried with them. Some began to murmur in low tones that they should not have left Egypt and were now suffering from hunger on their journey.

After decades of migration, the Hebrews finally arrived at their destination. On the way, they experienced countless hardships, and although God Jehovah helped them, many people did not make it here. Even those who made it here were already filled with resentment, constantly finding Moses to quarrel with, venting all their grievances on him.

Finally, the Lord God was enraged and sent down a divine sign to kill all the Hebrews. Moses could not bear to see his compatriots being killed by God, so he earnestly pleaded with God Jehovah. And made a solemn vow to teach the Hebrews to worship and believe in God Jehovah. God Jehovah was also moved by Moses' earnest plea, so He spared the Hebrews from punishment and did not kill them. However, He did not forgive them either, and issued a divine decree that all Hebrews over 40 years old would be unable to enter their destination. That is, the later Jerusalem.

Moses was also over forty years old, so he could not enter the city of Jerusalem. He had to wander outside and face death alone. Moses died at the age of one hundred and twenty; his eyes were not dim, nor did his vitality wane. The Israelites mourned for Moses in the plains of Moab for thirty days.

The stone tablet stopped here, and Liu Qi hurriedly said, "Your story is a bit long, I also know a little. But what does this have to do with you?"

The stone tablet finally spoke up after a while, "After Moses' death, his soul did not actually ascend to heaven, but instead remained attached to his staff. He is still concerned about the fate and lives of his Hebrew compatriots."

"It wasn't until several centuries later that a king emerged among the Hebrews. He was a great king. In his dreams, he conversed with Jehovah God. In his dreams, he asked God for wisdom, and God not only gave him unparalleled wisdom but also endless glory, wealth, wisdom, and virtue. His name was Solomon. He built a temple dedicated to Jehovah in Jerusalem. Under his command, the army invaded Egypt, trying to wash away the shame their ancestors had suffered. And Moses' staff was secretly brought to Egypt by him. In an extremely secret place, it was also offered up here."

"Unfortunately, the good times did not last long. Solomon was seduced by his women and believed in the doctrine of other gods. He made a covenant with 72 demons and obtained great power. As a result, he provoked the anger of Jehovah. Jehovah sent the prophet Ahijah from Shiloh to tear up one of Jeroboam's new garments into twelve pieces outside Jerusalem, asking him to take ten pieces, meaning that after Solomon's death, God would tear the United Kingdom apart into two kingdoms: the northern kingdom of Israel, consisting of ten tribes, would be ruled by Jeroboam; and the southern kingdom of Judah, with only the tribes of Judah and Benjamin remaining, would continue to be ruled by Solomon's son Rehoboam."

"The kingdom that lost the protection of Jehovah soon perished, and all Hebrews once again lost their homes. They became homeless sheep, slaughtered at will everywhere. The Hebrews also became the present-day Jews."

The stone tablet's voice stopped again. Liu Qi looked at the stone tablet and said, "Let me guess, this was once Solomon's temple, and you are Moses' soul."

"Yes, young one. You guessed correctly." The stone monument's voice echoed.

"Then may I ask, what brings you here?" Liu Qi asked.

"I know all about your experiences, young man; you're not from around here."

Liu Qi's eyes lit up suddenly. He hastily asked, "You know I'm from there, can you take me home?"

"I can't, but I know how to send you back."

"Tell me quickly, how can I get back home?" Liu Qi heard that there was a possibility of going back home and immediately became impatient.

"Not yet, child. You must do something for me first. After that, I can tell you." the stone monument replied.

"Not one thing, but ten things, I will agree with you. Tell me what you want me to do," said Liu Qi.

"Help now the Jews in war, let them hold on to life." The monument said.

"This……" Liu Qi heard that this condition was somewhat difficult. Even the words were hesitant to say. It's worth noting that during World War II, 6 million Jews were sent to Nazi crematoria. Germany consistently implemented it from top to bottom. To save the Jews would be directly opposing the entire massive German war machine.

Liu Qi thought again, no big deal, let Moses cancel the condition of winning the war. Then join the Allied forces and speed up the pace of attack. Relying on his own experience of understanding several decades of history to quickly eliminate Germany. Then save those Jews who were not killed by the Nazis yet.

Thinking of this, Liu Qi spoke up and said "Respected Prophet Moses, I agree to your terms. But can we cancel our previous deal and not fight this war? Or I'll help the Allies win this war."

"What wins wars? Have we had dealings before? How come I don't know?" asked Shi Bei puzzled.

"What? Not you!" Liu Qi immediately became anxious when he heard that the person who had signed a contract with him was not Moses.

"Don't worry, kid. I can indeed sense a contract's information on you. However, as long as you fulfill the contract, there won't be any danger. Moreover, I can also help you." The stone monument said.

"Oh, you can help me win this war! Yes, you are the messenger of God, you have divine power. Please, use your divine power to destroy the enemy's army for me. I will definitely complete the task you entrusted to me to save the Jews. I won't let anyone harm them." Liu Qi said.

"Heh heh, what you said is something I also want to do. But I basically can't do it, the divine power Jehovah bestowed upon me was almost all used up in Egypt. What's left is just enough to sustain my soul for a few thousand years of survival. It fundamentally can't be used to help you display divine signs." The stone tablet said.

"That means I won't get any help at all, and in the end, I'll still have to help you save the Jews." Liu Qi said weakly.

"Child, I and all those you have saved will pray for you. I shall use the last of Jehovah's power in me to do something for you. Farewell child, Jehovah God will watch over you from above," said the monument.

"Wait, you've used up all your divine power, what will you do?" Liu Qi asked.

"Hehe, child I have existed for several thousand years. I have prayed and worried for my fellow men for several thousand years, now I am tired. Don't worry about me, Jehovah God will forgive the original sin on me."

The stone tablet suddenly emitted two white lights, one shot onto the stone wall. The other shot onto Liu Qi's body, and Liu Qi felt a strange energy directly rushing into his brain. A feeling of unbearable pain, Liu Qi chose to faint directly.

After an unknown period of time, Liu Qi slowly opened his eyes. A ray of light entered Liu Qi's eyes, the stone tablet had collapsed, and when it fell, it smashed a small hole in the wall of the cave, and sunlight was shining through from there. Liu Qi got up from the ground and crawled out of the cave along the collapsed stone tablet.

The feeling of breathing in fresh air made Liu Qi extremely excited. Liu Qi felt the radar in his brain, and found that the map in his brain had expanded a lot. Because Liu Qi felt that the proportion of small black and gray dots in his brain seemed to have decreased. Moreover, Liu Qi felt that there were some more texts and information in his brain. This text Liu Qi could be sure he had never seen before. But Liu Qi knew very clearly what the text meant. It was as if it had been with him since birth.

As I looked up, not far away, the soldiers of Kaito and Deity were busy transporting stones on the ruins of the temple. Wooden planks that seemed to have been found from somewhere were used to build a scaffold, and a large stone was hung from it. The soldiers were pulling the ropes with all their might.

Liu Qi walked to the ruins of the temple and looked at the soldiers who were working hard. He asked, "What are you doing? Are you digging something?"

"Reporting to the principal, we have dug up Principal Zhong," a soldier said with a salute.

Listening to the soldier's perfunctory response, Liu Qi made a gesture to continue, and the soldier began digging again. But soon this soldier was stunned. The others also stopped their work, staring foolishly at Liu Qi. A soldier dropped the stone he was carrying, hitting his foot, but didn't even cry out in pain.

"It's okay, it's okay. Don't mind me, you all continue."

Kai Qi and several guards came over, touched Liu Qi with their hands, and said in a puzzled tone, "Colonel, is it you? Is it really you?"

"Of course it's me, who else could it be?" Liu Qi replied.

"You're okay, Zhongxiao. Zhongxiao, you're okay." Kaito said with a bit of excitement.

"It's nothing, Middle School." Instantly the whole valley erupted in cheers. Everyone rushed to Liu Qi, lifted Liu Qi high up and cheered while throwing Liu Qi into the air.

Liu Qi was also moved by the joyful mood of the soldiers and cheered along with them.

Yesterday afternoon was quite free, so I thought I'd hurry up and do some more. After lunch, I sat down and started typing away. Before 4 pm, one chapter was done. I was overjoyed, closed the file, and a pop-up asked if I wanted to save it. Without thinking, I clicked no... Want to cry but can't. Had to go to work at 4:30 and didn't get back home until 10 pm. The content of the chapter is almost all forgotten now, collapse...
