Chapter 13: Peeping at Bathing
The night grew darker and the logs in the fire pit in the center of the hall were burned to charcoal, the flames gradually dying down, plunging the cave into a dim haze.
By the side of a rock near a spring, a green figure flickered in and out of sight in the night, as if it were an ancient stone carving that had existed for thousands of years, or a bronze statue cast in verdigris, sitting quietly there.
If you walk closer, you will find that Qin Yang has slightly closed his eyes and is breathing lightly but steadily.
Compared to the stone room, Qin Yang preferred the edge of the spring water. As a special forces member, he liked nature more. Only in the arms of nature did he feel comfortable and free, like a fish in water, doing as he pleased.
So every evening he would go to the spring water's edge and rest beside this stone.
Time slowly approached midnight, and even outside the cave was quiet.
Suddenly, a faint sound of footsteps came, although faint but clear and distinct in the quiet cave. Qin Yang's ears moved slightly as he opened his eyes. He leaned against the rock without moving, but looked towards the direction of the sound with the edge of the rock close to him.
A dark figure walked towards the edge of the spring, getting closer and closer. Qin Yang gradually made out that it was the young man from this morning. He saw him looking around cautiously while sneaking towards the spring on tiptoes.
"It's so late, he's not sleeping, what is he doing here?" Qin Yang found it somewhat strange.
He set up both open and concealed sentries at the mouth of the valley and in the valley itself, so there was little chance of a surprise attack, therefore he did not set up any sentry posts in the mountain caves.
The young man walked to the edge of the spring water, looked around, Qin Yang's position was relatively hidden, and it was also in a shadow, so he didn't find him.
Seeing no one around, the young man sat down, took off his boots, and then put his feet into the spring water, letting out a comfortable sigh.
Qin Yang had an epiphany!
Because he seemed to hear a woman's voice, but when he listened carefully, there was no sound at all.
He thought he had misheard and shook his head, thinking to himself: "I must have been sleeping with my eyes open, how could there be a woman?"
But he's a bit strange, why didn't this young man come over after finishing his training but instead came now!
The young man sat by the water's edge, his feet gently stirring the spring water, a pair of white feet in the water as if two geese were swimming. He sat for a while, then stood up and took off his clothes one by one, placing them on the shore.
Reaching out to scoop up the cool spring water, slowly pouring it onto the smooth and delicate skin, the water flows down the muscles, shimmering with a faint light under the reflection of the distant bonfire's dying embers.
He bent down, and the young man took off his hat, revealing a head of jet-black long hair that flowed down like a floating cloud!
Qin Yang gazed at the back of the youth in the spring water, also somewhat dazed. The young man in the spring water seemed to be a beautiful painting, a vivid and lifelike painting that blended nature and humanity together, making one unable to help but become intoxicated by it.
Qin Yang sighed silently, such a beautiful figure was actually a young man. Suddenly, Qin Yang's body trembled like being electrocuted.
He thought of that long hair! That black long hair!
Long hair, what man would keep such a head of long hair!
Unless
Unless he is a woman——
Qin Yang fixed his eyes and looked into the spring water!
She reached out and swept her long hair back over her shoulder, slowly turning her body around.
Qin Yang's gaze stopped at her chest, staring at the bouncing jade rabbit, and his mind went blank with a "wow" sound.
It turned out he was actually a woman!
Qin Yang nervously closed his eyes, his chest pounding with each beat, praying that she wouldn't discover his presence.
What an awkward encounter this would be!
But heaven seemed unwilling to let Qin Yang have his way, for in his tension, his body inadvertently moved, causing a piece of gravel the size of a peanut to fall into the spring water.
It was a soft sound, but it was no less than a thunderclap exploding in Qin Yang and her ears.
Qin Yang covered his face with one hand, "It's all over, my lifelong reputation!"
"Who?" The girl heard the voice and suddenly lifted her head, the clear voice was not at all like the rough one she had pretended to have during the day. She lifted her head and looked over in Qin Yang's direction, and immediately discovered that under the dim shadow, there seemed to be a black figure crouching there.
In a state of extreme shock, the girl opened her mouth and let out an ear-piercing scream that even the world's best soprano could not match.
A large hand suddenly covered her mouth and she tried to struggle, but her body was tightly held by someone. A familiar voice sounded in her ear.
"Don't shout, it's me!"
The girl's scream was stuck in her throat, she heard it was the instructor's voice, and immediately opened a pair of big eyes to look at Qin Yang, nodding slightly.
Qin Yang let out a sigh of relief, his right hand releasing her as he grabbed her clothes and handed them back to her, turning around swiftly. Behind him came the rustling sound of her putting on her clothes.
"It's all right, if that scream had come out, I wouldn't have to be human anymore!" Qin Yang was afraid afterwards, if someone saw that this instructor was a peeping tom, then he might as well find a stone to knock himself dead.
"Instructor, it's all right! You can turn around now!" The girl's clear voice rang out.
Qin Yang hesitated for a moment before slowly turning his body around to look at the girl.
The girl was already wearing the military uniform, but she didn't wear the hat and held it in her hand. Her long hair was wet and hung down to her shoulders. When she saw Qin Yang looking at her, the girl's face turned red and she lowered her head.
"That... I... like... sleeping outside... not on purpose... you"
Qin Yang had never been so nervous before, not even when he was in the special forces and executed a prisoner for the first time. Now he found that his tongue seemed to be a bit out of control.
The girl covered her mouth and giggled, to be honest, she had never thought that one day she would see her instructor so flustered, looking like a child caught stealing food by his parents.
"Well, I'll go back to sleep first, see you tomorrow!" Qin Yang took off running and was gone in the blink of an eye.
The girl watched Qin Yang disappear at the door, and suddenly felt a little lost in her heart. She sighed, pulled up her hair and stuffed it into her hat, and walked towards her own room.
An accidental encounter, and the things that were triggered by it ended like this, leaving only the swaying spring water and the pile of bonfire that was about to go out...
