Chapter 28: Su Xuan and the Furnace (Part 2)

  Suwen AND Crucible (Two)

For several days since she was hospitalized, it has always been Meggie who took care of her.

Suwen's father had only come once, and as soon as Luo Ke saw him approaching, she let out a sharp cry. It was the residual feeling of this body, Suwen's true fear. Her body strongly rejected her father's approach, even though her soul had been replaced by Luo Ke, she couldn't control it.

Helpless, Suwen's father could only retreat from the hospital room, separated by a thin door panel, Luo Ke heard the man's desperate crying.

Because she didn't protect her daughter well, so she cried so desperately and sadly.

Mei Ji, pregnant and exhausted from taking care of Luo Ke, who had fallen asleep, took the opportunity to lean against the headboard and rest for a while.

Mei Qi was also very tired and soon fell into a deep sleep.

Lu Ke opened her eyes and gazed at Mei Ji with a strange feeling. In the past few times she had crossed over, it was always her taking care of others. This time, she had crossed over into an adult's identity and was being taken care of by someone else. However, if she had a choice, she would rather have crossed over as a demon or monster than be in her current state.

The temperature in the ward suddenly dropped a lot for some reason. Although it was summer, white mist could be seen coming out of people's mouths.

Luoke shifted her gaze away from Mei Qi and saw a white figure floating out of the wall, standing in front of her.

The figure was very thin and could barely make out her appearance, it was a little girl about ten years old.

Luoke didn't feel afraid at all. She had even been a fierce ghost before, so why would she be afraid of such a small ghost that wasn't even complete?

That little demon stood in front of her for a long time, before slowly opening his mouth and saying: "Su Yuanyuan, do you still remember me?"

Something about Soo-young was leaked out, and a large number of reporters rushed into the hospital to interview her and get firsthand information in order to scoop the news.

Luoke didn't know that a large number of reporters were waiting to interview her.

After several days of hard work, Mei Qi was exhausted and the child in her belly almost couldn't hold on. The doctor ordered her to rest, so she had no choice but to let Soo-young's dad, Ahn Dong-joon, take care of her.

Lu Ke can barely control his body now. When Ren Dong Xun approaches him, he doesn't scream out loud anymore, no matter how hard it is.

Su Wei's body refused to interact with Ren Dong Xun in any way, and Ren Dong Xun could only sit at the farthest distance from Su Wei, silently watching her.

The atmosphere in the ward was filled with an inexplicable sense of oppression, and Luo Ke didn't know how to face Ren Dongxun, so he could only close his eyes and pretend to sleep.

The door of the ward was suddenly opened from outside, and a nurse rushed in hastily, saying: "You'd better hide quickly, there are many reporters downstairs asking about your news."

Ren Dongxun suddenly stood up, his face showing inexplicable panic. He knew the purpose of those reporters, but how could they be so ruthless? His Su Xuan had suffered such a huge injury, and yet they still poured salt on her wounds?

The nurse urged Ren Dongxun to hurry up and hide with Suwen, Ren Dongxun didn't care who leaked the secret of Suwen being here, he ran to the bedside and wanted to pick up Suwen.

Lu Ke opened her eyes, and her dark eyes didn't show any ripples. She said, "This isn't my fault, I'm not going anywhere."

Ren Dongxun's outstretched hand froze, as he gazed at Luo Ke's pale face with a mix of purple and green hues. Overwhelming grief surged from the bottom of his heart, and tears rolled down in large drops. Ren Dongxun choked back sobs: "Su Yuan, I'm sorry, it was all Dad's fault."

After the delay, those reporters had already found Luo Ke's ward. They squeezed in from outside the ward, flashbulbs flashing nonstop. The reporters crowded around Luo Ke's bed, sharp questions pouring out of their mouths.

Ren Dongxun yelled at the reporters, pushing them away with his hands and shouting: "Don't you have any humanity? Get out of here quickly..."

His strength was ultimately too small, and he couldn't stop those crazy reporters at all. The microphone was passed over from the gap, almost reaching Luo Ke's mouth.

Luoke quietly looked at those people's faces and suddenly stretched out her hand to push the iron saltwater frame on the bedside table.

A loud rumbling sound, the ward suddenly fell silent, reporters looked at the child lying in bed with a terrified expression, not knowing why she would suddenly burst into such a big fire.

Luo Ke's slightly hoarse voice echoed in the ward, falling into everyone's ears.

"Is it because I'm not your child that you're hurting me like this? What makes you so heartless, to do something like this to an eight-year-old kid?"

"You're not curious about how miserable I am? Fine, I'll tell you as you wish."

Luò Kě used his only good arm to lift the quilt off his body, revealing Su Wén's small body with wounds that had not yet scabbed over.

Ren Dongxun had already been unable to bear it and was leaning against the wall, wailing loudly. Those reporters stared blankly at Luo Ke's movements, a strange chill rising from the bottom of their hearts.

Luó Kě's voice was very calm, completely unlike an eight-year-old who had just experienced such a huge trauma, calmly as if talking about someone else's business.

"The blood clot in my brain hasn't dissipated yet, he broke eight of my ribs, fractured my right forearm, and shattered my thigh bone. My lower body was severely torn, my vulva fell off, and my uterus completely ruptured... I'll never be a mother again..."

"Stop it!" Luo Ke's words were cut off before he could finish, the older female reporter covering her face and sobbing uncontrollably. What had they done? The child was already so miserable, did they still want to rub salt in her bleeding wounds, did they have to drive her to death?

Haven't the journalists' humanity been completely lost? The child in front of them has already suffered such severe trauma, do they still want to reopen her unhealed wounds and make them bleed again?

At this time all apologies seemed pale and powerless, and the reporters retreated just as they had come.

Ren Dongxun stopped his crying, he got up with a stumble, walked to the bedside, covered Luo Ke's opened quilt for her, and picked up the saltwater rack on the ground. While doing these things, he remained silent, without making any sound, but Luo Ke could feel the intense sadness emanating from Ren Dongxun's body.

Is it because she wasn't protected well that you feel ashamed?
