Chapter 16: The Cemetery Treasure
Zhong Er stared at Lin Fei with wide eyes: "This... how can this be in the tomb? Whose tomb is this?"
Lin Fei's face was gloomy: "Don't care whose grave it is, just dig here!"
Zhong Er nodded: "Alright! I'll go back and call everyone over, it will be dug out in a moment."
Lin Fei waved his hand: "Not now! Don't you see there are still people on the road over there? If we start digging now, we'll attract a crowd in no time."
"Uh-huh! You're right, so when do we start?"
"It starts when the sky turns dark, and by then there are almost no pedestrians on this side. Ah! After going back, I'll call a few more large vehicles to come over, I estimate that there's quite a lot of stuff inside."
Zhong Er was stunned: "You... you don't know how many things are in here? What if... what if there aren't any?"
Lin Fei smiled calmly: "Hmph! Even without weapons, nothing else will be missing."
Zhong Er hesitated, wanting to say something else, but Lin Fei waved his hand: "You hurry back and prepare! Remember! Don't rush the car."
"What about you?" Zhong Er stared blankly at Lin Fei.
"I still have something to do, it's four o'clock now, let's gather here at six thirty." Lin Fei said and left first, Zhong Er was stunned, shook his head and went back.
Lin Fei arrived at the Lin family ancestral tomb, he looked at the grave mound that had grown full of grass and suddenly knelt down: "Father! Mother! Mei Zi! I'm back!"
"Is this your family's graveyard?" A shout startled Lin Fei, he hastily pushed the big cow to one side, rolled on the ground, and with a swift motion drew out the gun at his waist.
"It's me! Why are you so tense?" Lin Fei took a closer look and found it was Su Yun. He looked at Su Yun in surprise: "You've been following me all along?"
Su Yun nodded: "I saw you send Er Dang away and came this way with Da Niu, I was afraid that something would go wrong, so I followed, didn't expect that this is your family's graveyard, are the ones buried here Uncle and Aunt?"
Lin Fei nodded silently, and Su Yun looked at another grave mound: "Who is that plum blossom? Is she your wife?"
Lin Fei looked at him without speaking, and Su Yun didn't ask any more questions. He knelt down with Lin Fei: "Uncle and aunt! You can rest assured! Lin Fei is now with me, I will definitely take good care of him. And Mei Zi, you can also rest assured! In the future, when I have time, I will come to visit you often."
Lin Fei looked at Su Yun and nodded a few times: "Su Yun! I've already told Er Dang to go back and prepare, let's head back over there again at 6:30."
Su Yun nodded: "Mm! What else do you want to do?"
Lin Fei pulled Su Yun: "Come with me!"
Lin Fei arrived at the place where he had buried the treasure chest, relying on his memory. After selecting a good location, he took out a short knife from his waist and started digging. Big Cow wanted to take over for Lin Fei, but Lin Fei waved his hand to indicate that it wasn't necessary. Su Yun opened her mouth as if to speak, but said nothing, silently watching him work non-stop.
After a while, the short knife hit something hard. Lin Fei's face lit up with joy, and he threw down the short knife, using his hands to dig for a few moments. A bright red wooden box appeared before him.
Su Yun looked at Lin Fei curiously as he took out the box: "Lin Fei! Is this what you buried here? What's inside?"
Lin Fei didn't say a word and directly handed over the box: "You'll know when you see it!"
Su Yun opened the box in confusion, and when she saw that it was filled with jewelry, her mouth dropped open in shock: "This... there's so much! Are these all yours?"
Lin Fei nodded: "Yes! This is that bastard who robbed our house, and I robbed it back. Because of the hurry at the time, I buried it here."
Su Yun covered the box and handed it back to Lin Fei: "This is your thing, you take it!"
Lin Fei pushed forward: "From now on, these are yours, take them!"
Su Yun wanted to say something else, but Lin Fei had already walked away. Su Yun could only quicken her pace and catch up with him.
At half past six, Lin Fei and Su Yun rushed to the Zhang family cemetery. Zhong Er was already waiting there. When he saw Lin Fei and Su Yun walking together, the tense expression on his face finally relaxed.
"Are you all ready?" Lin Fei looked at the back of Zhong Er Dang and saw a dozen or so large carts parked there.
Zhong Er nodded: "Lin Fei brothers! Let's start? Where is it?"
Lin Fei circled the cemetery and finally stopped in front of a mound, he squatted down to take a closer look, reached out to feel around underneath, and soon heard a creaking sound, and a hole appeared under the grave.
Zhong Er stared at him in shock: "Is it inside?"
Lin Fei nodded: "Maybe! I'll go take a look!" After finishing, he was about to head down, but Su Yun grabbed him: "Wait a minute! The cave entrance just opened, the air inside is bad, let's go in later."
A man in his fifties next to her nodded: "Yes! Aunt Su is right, we have to wait a while before going down, otherwise it will cost lives."
After a while, Lin Fei bent down to take a look and turned back to say: "Alright? Who's carrying the torch, bring it over! I'll go take a look!"
Zhong Er said hastily: "I'll go down with you! Auntie, you take someone to watch outside!"
Su Yun hesitated for a moment and nodded: "Alright then! You guys be careful!"
The two of them walked slowly down the stairs, going about twenty meters or more. The stairs ended and in front of them was a large cave entrance that was over one person tall. Lin Fei used his torch to illuminate it, and as they went deeper into the cave, the opening gradually became larger, but what was inside still couldn't be seen clearly.
Lin Fei signaled to Zhong Er Dang to follow him from behind, he lit a torch and slowly moved forward. As the space inside the cave became larger, Lin Fei found that there were some long-lasting lamps installed on both sides of the wall. He signaled to Zhong Er Dang, and the two of them lit up the lamps on both sides.
At the end of the cave, a door appeared. Lin Fei fumbled around on the door for a while and soon found a hidden switch. He pulled it hard, and with a creaking sound... the door opened.
After lighting the lanterns inside, Zhong Er's stunned face turned bright red with excitement, as there were dozens of large boxes arranged inside, and when opened, they were all brand new guns and ammunition.
"Lin Fei brothers! We've struck it rich! So many guns and ammunition! I think it's enough to arm a whole regiment!"
"Alright! Hurry back and bring him in, we must make haste, or else we'll be discovered."
Zhong Er finally came to his senses and slapped his forehead: "Ah! That big cow! You go back and call someone!"
The big man stiffened his neck: "I'm not going! I want to stay here and take care of Lin, you go if you want!"
"You... you're so stubborn! What would Lin Fei need you to take care of here? Geez!" Zhong Er was choked back to life, he muttered a sentence and then turned around to call someone over.
Su Yun followed Zhong Er Dang into the cave: "Lin Fei! There are really so many weapons! This is great! From now on, we won't have to look at anyone's face in Wohu Mountain!"
Lin Fei nodded: "Brothers! Hurry up! Be careful with your movements, Big Cow! You go outside and keep watch, and also take stock."
Dà Niú responded with a grunt and carried a box forward, Zhōng èr stared at Dà Niú's back in frustration: "Pfft! This blockhead!"
Su Yun smiled and said: "Second fool! What did Big Cow do to offend you? You're so angry."
Zhong Er Dang recounted the events from earlier, Su Yun laughed until she was out of breath. She pointed at Zhong Er Dang: "They say you're a simpleton, but I didn't expect you to meet your match."
After everything in the cave was moved up, it was already after midnight. Lin Fei asked Zhong Er to take out the prepared food and distribute it to everyone, telling them to hurry up and eat, as they still had to rush on the night road later.
Big Cow ran over: "Lin brother! We've finished counting, there are 56 big boxes in total. The ten big cars we got are all loaded up, let's get going!"
Lin Fei looked at Su Yun, and Su Yun waved his hand: "Alright! Brothers! Let's set off! Return to Wohu Mountain!"
