Chapter 13 Don't Underestimate Elementary School Students
That night, the entire Luo family was on high alert, as if facing a great enemy. From the master of the house down to every single person, everyone felt tense. Not for anything else, but because the eight children who went out to school in the daytime had not returned all night.
These eight people are all young and promising members of the family, they are the hope for the future of the entire Locke family. And now, they have collectively gone missing!
As the head of the household, the elderly Hua De*Lock had already sent out all the members of his family to search for him, but by midnight, there was still no news from the people he had sent out.
In the Lockwood family's estate, in a secluded back hall, the master of the house, Ward Lockwood, was too anxious to sit down and kept pacing back and forth in the great hall.
Nearby, a red-robed mage with a staff stood silently by. His name was Augustin, the Lock family's personal magician.
In Aethoria, some wealthy families who made their fortunes through trade often hire high-ranking mages as family guardians, such as the Lockes. Some families even have a master mage as their head of household.
"Augustin, can you predict what's going on with Roan?" Under anxiety, Howard*Lock could only turn to the family's designated magician for help, hoping to get some good news from him.
"I'm sorry, sir. I don't have that kind of ability. However, you don't need to worry too much, after all, the Lock family is one of the top ten powerful families in the entire royal capital. Unless someone wants to die, no one dares to harm a member of the Lock family." Augustin said.
"Be that as it may, what on earth has happened to Ron and the others? Why haven't they been found yet?" said Hagrid, still looking worried.
"I'm afraid we'll just have to wait until they get back," said Augustine.
"Alas." Howard Rock sighed.
Just then, when Huade*Lock was sighing, a servant suddenly came to report that the eight young masters had been found!
Soon, Ron Lok and others were brought into the back hall, but for some reason, they were all in a coma, and their clothes were all holed, as if they had been burned by fire.
"Where did you find them?" Howard Locke frowned and asked the person beside him.
"Report to the master, we found the eight young masters in a small alley on Zhuque Street." The subordinate replied.
"In a small alley? Were they already like that when you found them?" Wade Locke asked again.
"Yes, I have returned home."
Ward Locke bowed his head and pondered for a moment before asking: "Augustin, what's your take on this?"
Augustine shook his head and said: "I'm not quite sure. Let's wait until the young masters wake up and hear what they have to say."
"But they now..."
"I have a way to wake them up." Augustin walked forward, examined the injuries of Ron*Lock and others who were lying on the ground unconscious, then took out a medicine bottle and dripped some medicinal water into their nostrils.
After Augustin finished all this, as expected, it didn't take long for Ron Lok and others to slowly wake up.
Ronald Locke and others who had just woken up obviously didn't understand what was happening, their faces were a bit dull, but after a moment, someone screamed, and younger people like Brown Locke even burst into tears.
"Shut up, all of you!" Howard Rock yelled in a very unhappy tone. After everyone had quieted down, Howard Rock asked, "Who's going to tell me what happened?"
"Look at me, I look at you," said Ron Lok and others. Finally, the oldest Ron Lok stepped forward and said: "Report to Grandpa, we were ambushed!"
"An ambush? What's going on? Tell me carefully." said Howard Rock, frowning.
"It was like that in school, Pete and Brown were bullied by a first-grader..." Ron Lock said.
"Wait a minute, Peter is a middle school student, how can he be bullied by a first-year elementary school student?" interrupted Huade*Lock.
"It's like this, Grandpa. The other side has a formidable helper secretly assisting them! In fact, not only Peter and Brown, but when we eight people went to settle accounts with that little kid after school, we were all secretly calculated by the little kid's helper!" Ron*Lock said.
"Have you taken a good look at what the person who is secretly calculating against you looks like?" Howard Rock asked.
"No. We just saw a flash of white light in front of us, and then we felt our whole body go numb, and then we passed out. We...we seemed to be...electrocuted." Ron*Lock said uncertainly.
"Electrocution?" As a magician, Augustin thought of something sharp.
"Yes. Uncle Augustin, thinking back carefully to the scene at that time, I'm sure we were electrocuted." Ron * Locke nodded.
"Then tell me exactly what happened at the time," said Augustine.
"Alright, Uncle Augustin. At that time, the eight of us surrounded a kid named Yang Jue and her sister, I think her name was Hei Yue or something. Anyway, we had them surrounded and were in the process of teaching them a lesson when suddenly a white thing appeared out of nowhere, making a 'zzt' sound as it flew around us in a circle, and then we felt electrified..." said Ron*Lock.
"Is that it? Nothing else?" Augustin asked.
"Wait a minute!" Ron*Lock thought for a moment, then suddenly remembered something and exclaimed: "That's right! At first we were electrocuted but didn't pass out, but later... I don't know if they heard it, but I think someone said something about 'electronic pulse', and then we lost consciousness."
"What? You... are you sure you heard the words 'electronic pulse'?" Augustin's body suddenly shook violently.
"Yes." Ron nodded definitely.
Augustin was silent for a moment, then suddenly pulled the host, Ward Locklear, aside and spoke to him in a low voice. Ward's expression changed dramatically after hearing what he had to say.
"Balanced organization? Shadow Three Ninjas? Are you sure?" Wade Lock shouted in a low voice.
"Hush! Speak softly, sir. In my opinion, today's events are quite certain to have involved those people we can't afford to offend! And yet, Master Roen and his companions haven't lost their lives over it - that's just too fortunate! Sir, if I may say so, not only should we not pursue this matter further, but we should also be grateful for the blessings of the Light God! Don't you agree, sir?" Augustin said.
"I think I know what to do now," said Wade Lockwood dejectedly.
As he spoke, Howard Rock summoned Ron Lock and others to come forward. What Ron Lock and others did not expect was that as the head of the family, seeing them being ambushed, Howard Rock not only did not plead for their innocence but instead severely reprimanded them.
"From today on! All of you must behave and tuck in your tails at school! Whoever dares to rely on family power to bully their classmates, don't blame me for being ruthless and expelling them from the family! Especially that first-year student named 'Yang Jue', it's best if you all steer clear of him! Otherwise, losing your lives is a small matter, but implicating the entire family in suffering with you is a big deal! Did everyone hear clearly?" Huade*Luoke asked loudly.
Ron and Lock exchanged glances, hesitated for a long time, and then said in unison, "Got it."
"Right, you not only can't offend that kid called 'Yang Jue' again, but from today on, I promise you that if any of you can make friends with Yang Jue, I'll reward him 10,000 gold coins! If anyone can invite Yang Jue to their home for a visit and give me the chance to get to know this young friend, I'll reward him 100,000 gold coins! In short, whoever can establish a long-lasting friendly relationship with Yang Jue will be heavily rewarded! Moreover, for those who make contributions to the family, I might even consider making them the heir to the position of head of the household!" Howard*Lock said with a profound gaze.
"Very wise decision." Augustin chimed in with a timely flattery.
"Grandfather, Yang Jue is just a first-year student! Why do we have to fawn all over him like this?" Ron asked discontentedly.
"What about elementary school students? In this day and age, even elementary school students can be super-geniuses! You absolutely mustn't underestimate elementary school students!" said Hua De* Luo Ke.
