Chapter 6: Exterminate the Field Mice
In short, two words: Awesome!
If I had to summarize it in one sentence, that would be: Extremely awesome!
I, a player with three pieces of level 5 equipment and one piece of black iron level 6 equipment, am obviously the most awesome player in this newbie village. Now, killing those goblins is easy, just two swords can take care of them!
Just then, a voice came from not far ahead: "Let's hurry up, I just heard the BOSS's roar, I think someone has already started fighting, if we're late, we won't get anything!"
I was slightly stunned, what? Could it be that this BOSS wasn't the first one I discovered?
I'm the only one here, if they come over and see that the BOSS is gone, they'll definitely think I killed him. If they have evil intentions to kill people and steal treasure, then I'm done for! No way, it's better for me to hide first!
Immediately drilled into the nearby small forest, quietly watching. Sure enough, after a while, seven or eight people rushed over, one of whom asked: "Didn't they say that the BOSS's coordinates were here? Why can't we see it?"
The one leading the way said: "Damn, I was just here a moment ago. I was beaten back by BOSS three times and then immediately called you guys over!"
"Could it be that the BOSS was killed by someone?"
"It's highly likely that I just heard the monster's roar earlier, which means someone is killing monsters here. Maybe the BOSS has already been killed by that person!"
"How is it possible for one person? I've seen the BOSS's attributes, over 1,500 HP and more than 30 attack power. One person trying to kill it would be suicidal, at least four or five people with good medicine and a rotation strategy might have a chance!"
"But we ran all the way here and didn't see anyone else coming back?"
"Alright, let's just level up for now. Next time we see the BOSS, let's focus on it and wait for others to arrive before attacking! Let's head back to level up, don't forget the task our leader gave us!"
A few people nodded and left, I glanced at their names, all of which started with the character for "overbearing". Suddenly, I thought of a gaming guild: Overbearing Online Gaming Guild. It seemed to be a guild that had developed with the help of IS and YY voice software, and it still had quite a lot of members. I remembered when I used to play games, we would fight fiercely against them. Given the size of this game, there's no reason they wouldn't set up shop here! So, looking at it this way, guilds like Imperial Dynasty, Night Makeup, Hongmeng, and Blood Slaughter will definitely all be setting up shop as well. In the past, these guilds would usually become the top force in a particular game or server, but Creation is a global game, with servers divided by country... I wonder how fiercely they'll fight to be number one?!
But this has nothing to do with me, let them fight however they want, as long as it doesn't affect my leveling up, killing monsters and chatting up girls!
I'd better take a detour through the small path back to Xinshou Village, I don't want to run into those people, if they see me who knows what they'll think of me, I don't want to look for trouble!
Back to the newbie village, I quietly put away my weapon. At a glance, there are already level 6 players in the newbie village. Indeed, there are still mighty players! However, my purpose for returning to the newbie village was just to buy potions!
Just now a giant goblin burst out 15 gold coins and over 50 silver coins, it's really a waste not to use so much money to buy potions!
10 copper coins per bottle, I bought over 500 bottles in one breath, NND, enough for me to practice until level 10!
I then bought two return scrolls, each costing one gold coin. Not many people can afford them, and if I hadn't killed that giant goblin, I wouldn't have been able to buy this! But now it's different, I want to find a suitable place to level up, probably at least half an hour away from the newbie village. I don't want to waste all my time running around!
After strolling around Novice Village and confirming that there were no more tasks to accept, I headed out of the village. Now everyone is thinking about quickly leveling up to level 10, I couldn't fall behind!
The map of the world is extremely large, which can be seen from the novice village. It took me 10 minutes just to run out of the wild rabbit's area. If this were in previous games, I estimate that 10 minutes would have been enough to traverse an entire map, rather than just running out of a single monster spawn point!
As I passed by the Goblin refresh point, some players had already started killing monsters there. Of course, the BOSS shouldn't have refreshed so quickly! If it did spawn, with so many players here, we could totally use a zerg rush to kill it. After all, it's just a level 5 BOSS in the newbie village. As long as a team of five players work together, they can take it down. But if it were a level 20 or 30 BOSS, I reckon even all the players in the entire newbie village combined wouldn't be enough for it to bully!
Ran over directly, now I'm already level 6, killing these monsters doesn't get much experience anymore. Just got two pieces of equipment with greatly enhanced attributes, and brought so many potions. Now I must kill at least level 8 monsters, otherwise it would be a waste of the equipment and the potions!
After running for more than 20 minutes, there are no players in sight. The highest level player I saw along the way was only level 6, and their equipment wasn't great either. They could only kill goblins and wouldn't dare to run and kill higher-level monsters, so I don't have to worry about anyone competing with me for monsters or bosses!
And then, a small wooden hut appeared in sight!
It's already far enough from Novice Village, so it shouldn't be built here, but since it is, there must be a reason, maybe even a quest!
I went up and saw a middle-aged man in his 50s sighing, I took a quick look at the information, this guy is a farmer from Novice Village!
"Uncle, looking at your sighing and groaning, have you encountered some difficulties?"
The farmer said, "Newbie Village nearby is infested with field mice, and it's impossible to plant crops. We had no choice but to plant them here instead. Originally, everything was fine, but unexpectedly, a group of field mice arrived recently, even more ferocious than those in Newbie Village. I'm afraid the crops here won't be saved!"
What? The field mouse also dares to destroy the crops, it's really too rebellious!
I immediately said: "This group of field mice is really too hateful, Uncle, I'll help you eliminate this group of field mice!"
The farmer's eyes lit up: "I'm too old to deal with these field mice, but you young brave warrior, I believe you can do it, so I'll have to entrust this task to you!"
"Ding! You have accepted the quest [Exterminate Field Mice]! (Quest difficulty: A3)"
Task content: Help the farmer eliminate 100 field mice, and he will reward you after completing the task!
Haha, I just received the task like this, but this task is quite annoying. One kill and you have to kill 100 of them. By the time I finish killing them, I estimate that these field mice will be almost extinct. Hmm, these field mice are not good things anyway, so it's okay to kill them!
But the experience of 100 field mice may not be very good, but after adding the experience given by the task after killing them, it's quite good!
Field mouse? I'm here, old man!
He directly charged into the field, and soon a mouse appeared in his line of sight. After checking its attributes, he couldn't help but nod his head in satisfaction - this mouse was quite impressive!
Hamster (Novice Village Monster)
Rank: 9
Blood glucose: 250
Attack: 18-28
Defense: 10
Introduction: A monster specializing in destroying crops, extremely fast
This ground mouse's attack and defense are almost the same as those of a giant goblin, just with slightly less blood. If I were still at level 5 and hadn't equipped my level 5 gear, I definitely wouldn't have been able to kill this monster. But now, I don't even consider this mouse a threat, especially with several hundred bottles of medicine in my backpack!
He raised his iron sword and slowly approached, this field mouse was really bold, completely ignoring me, right under my nose, openly and brazenly gnawing at the crops, it's simply asking to be killed!
In fact, monsters below level 10 will not attack on their own!
A sword slashed down fiercely, and the field mouse immediately let out a "squeak" as 51 points of damage flew onto its head!
This monster's defense is the same as that of the Goblin BOSS, but my attack power has increased significantly since then, so the damage I deal will naturally be higher!
The field mouse immediately counterattacked and pounced on me in an instant. My blood also dropped by 19 points!
This bit of damage I can still withstand, after all, I have plenty of healing potions on me!
"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!"
With five consecutive sword strikes, the mouse let out a "squeak" and fell to its death. Although the manner of its death was somewhat pitiful, this mouse was an evil spirit for the crops, and for evil spirits, this is justice. I believe that even if a farmer in real life saw the mouse, he would not hesitate to strike it dead with his hoe!
My health bar has also been reduced by half, immediately drinking a bottle of novice potion, the mouse exploded with 15 copper coins, not bad, at least earning back the cost of the potion!
