Chapter Nineteen Trouble
For being forced to leave, Tang Tian didn't have too much emotion.
The world has changed, it's survival of the fittest, and if you don't have the power, you'll have to tuck your tail and be a man. Zhang Hao and others not turning against him or ruthlessly killing him is already very kind.
After leaving the cafeteria building, Tang Tian entered the transformed jungle of the school.
In just one night's time, after the Demon God's true transformation, this world had already undergone a great change.
The originally clean and refreshing campus has become overgrown with weeds everywhere, and these weeds are at least one person tall. Moreover, there are large trees everywhere, all of which sprouted overnight, turning the beautiful campus into a primitive forest.
There were unknown dangers lurking within, and Tang Tian proceeded with extreme caution.
Perhaps it was Zhang Hao and his gang who had just passed by, but the jungle was soon filled with signs of battle everywhere, corpses of zombies, human corpses, and various mutated beast corpses could be seen almost anywhere.
He walked along the road with Tang Tian, and didn't encounter much danger. Occasionally, only one or two low-level zombies would pop out of the bushes, which couldn't pose a great threat to Tang Tian at all.
Tang Tian's goal was not to find a place to settle down within the school grounds, but rather outside of it.
Although the campus is relatively safer, with only some zombies and small mutated beasts like rats, Tang Tian did not want to meet Zhang Hao again. After all, this campus was not particularly large for him.
Tianshui University is located in the suburbs of Tianshui City, and it takes at least ten or twenty minutes to get to the city by car. However, if you have to rely on your legs, it would take one or two hours, and that was during peacetime.
The world has changed, and in the suburbs, what's most numerous isn't zombies, but all sorts of mutated creatures.
So Tang Tian chose to develop outside of school, which was fraught with danger, but in order to become stronger, one had to grow up amidst the dangers, that's what Tang Tian told himself.
Tang Tian's destination was Tianshui City, first of all there were many people there, and as a big city, it must be protected by the military, although now the army that lost its guns became a decoration, but anyway, places with more people are relatively safer.
Proceeding with caution, Tang Tian finally exited the school gate and arrived outside the school, having successfully avoided large hordes of zombies.
Just as Tang Tian had expected, the outside of the school also became a crisis-ridden jungle, with wild grass growing everywhere and tall trees reaching for the sky.
What was once a road leading into the city is now pockmarked with craters, and not far away you can see vehicles lying across the road, as well as zombies roaming everywhere.
Tang Tian's appearance quickly caught the attention of these extremely sensitive zombies, who let out a chorus of wails and charged towards him.
Fortunately, these zombies were only some low-level zombies of level one or two, and did not pose a great threat to Tang Tian at the same time, but also brought him a lot of experience.
All the way killing low-level zombies, Tang Tian followed the road to Tianshui City. He didn't dare enter the dense forest on both sides of the road. If he encountered a mutated snake or wolf, with his current strength at level 4 and almost reaching level 5, it was likely that he wouldn't even be able to escape. To know, even dealing with a mutated rat was quite laborious for Tang Tian.
Who knows what kind of powerful existence those guys have mutated into!
"Oh no......"!
Walking along the main road for a long time, Tang Tian had already left school far behind. Just as he was proceeding cautiously, he heard a cry for help from afar.
With an attitude of "one less thing is better than one more thing", Tang Tian did not want to bother with the person who was crying for help.
But some things, the more you try to avoid them, the more they will find their way to you.
In the distance, Tang Tian saw a thin figure running desperately in front of him, with at least 40 or 50 zombies chasing behind. The figure was shouting for help along the way, attracting even more zombies.
Tang Tian let out a sigh of annoyance, because the person in front seemed to have discovered his existence and was running towards him desperately. Moreover, this road was the only way to get to Tianshui City, so if Tang Tian didn't take care of the zombies in front of him, he would have no choice but to retreat or enter the forest.
Retreating is impossible, entering the jungle will only be more dangerous. Tang Tian's only way out is to eliminate these zombies and continue advancing.
As the distance got closer and closer, Tang Tian also saw clearly what that fleeing person looked like.
A girl, about twenty years old, looked very beautiful and had a full figure. She was wearing a police uniform and holding a useless handgun in her hand. She was being chased by zombies behind her and didn't know how far she had run. Now she was covered in sweat and her face, once beautiful, was now distorted with fear.
But seeing Tang Tianhou in front of him, who seemed to be fearless, a kind of inexplicable joy appeared on his face, and the voice calling for help became even louder.
"Comrade, come and help, these monsters are too terrifying, hurry up and save me...", although frightened pale, this beautiful female police officer ran to Tang Tian's side and said formally.
Tang Tian ignored her and charged towards the zombie horde with his long knife in hand. From Tang Tian's True Eye observation, these zombies were only level one or two, at most there might be one or two level three, but they wouldn't pose too much of a threat to him. With his current strength, as long as he wasn't surrounded, he could still kill them all.
For Tang Tian's unreasonable behavior, the originally beautiful policewoman was still somewhat annoyed, but when she saw Tang Tian fighting alone against a group of zombies, her face was shocked beyond belief.
All that can be seen is Tang Tian's back as he fights and retreats, the knife light flashing by, one by one, the brains of the dead corpses being cut off, completely like a scene of chopping melons and cutting vegetables, this is not fighting at all, but a massacre!
The beautiful policewoman couldn't believe what she was seeing, the terrifying zombies that were supposed to be her greatest fear were being easily eliminated by someone.
The battle didn't last long before it ended, with dozens of zombies killed by Tang Tian. Although the current first-level zombies only gave Tang Tian 10 experience points and second-level ones gave 25, after killing the elite mutated rat in the morning and gaining 1000 experience points, and adding to that the experience gained from killing zombies along the way, Tang Tian still managed to accumulate the 2000 experience points needed for a level up, smoothly advancing to level five.
The 5 evolution points obtained from the upgrade were added with 3 points of strength and 2 points of agility, and Tang Tian's power increased again.
After killing the zombies, Tang Tian didn't even notice the beautiful female police officer standing stupidly on the road, but instead went his own way towards the city.
In a chaotic world, there are people in need of help everywhere. He Tang Tian is not a savior, no need to care about others' lives and deaths, he himself is still struggling to survive, having no lustful thoughts towards her is already being very kind to her.
But going to take a look, this female police officer is just a person with no combat power at all. Even if she comes along, she can only bring trouble to herself and won't be of any help to herself.
Tang Tian ignored her, but she stuck to him like a piece of sticky candy...
