Chapter Thirty-Seven: The Mysterious Inn
Kawano Ryoko, like a diligent and kind wife taking care of her husband who had lost his ability to take care of himself, stripped off the crow's clothes one by one, then carried him to bed, and only then undressed herself.
At this time, she remembered the smoke from the kitchen of her old home in rural Japan. The dry hay was stuffed into the stove, and a match was lit, burning fiercely. Next, it was cooking raw rice into cooked rice.
It's been half a year since I last did this kind of thing. Like a tree, its leaves have withered and fallen off, devouring its own body like a rice weevil, the whole tree has gradually withered away due to lack of sunshine and rain nourishment.
Kawano Ryoko stuffed herself into the hearth and started lighting a fire to cook. She was like a kitchen maid who couldn't open her eyes due to the smoke, with tears streaming down her face, hastily stretching out her hand towards the flue, grabbing that piece of firewood and hastily shoving it inside.
"Ah!" Kawano Ryoko shouted loudly.
The shopkeeper thought something big had happened at the Yungang Grottoes and immediately started knocking on the door, shouting non-stop: "Guests! Guests! The braised pork with chestnuts is ready!"
This is really not the right time. For Kawano Ryoko, it was like a leaky roof meeting continuous rain, and the fire that had just been lit was suddenly extinguished like a bucket of water being poured on it, and the uncooked rice that had already been put in the pot was cooled down.
Kawano Ryoko quickly got out of bed, put on the cheongsam that was lying on the ground in a mess, turned her head to look at the firebird who had already covered her head with a quilt, and then went to pull out the door bolt and open it.
A familiar scent wafted up, and Kawano Ryoko couldn't help but glance at the shopkeeper's hands, where she saw a bamboo basket specially made for takeout.
This situation made Kawano Ryoko feel that Hieno's misjudgment had ruined her good deed, and this uncultured guy had messed it up. She suddenly felt a surge of anger, causing her originally smooth face to wrinkle up.
"Can't you knock gently?" Kawanou Ryouko's gloomy face was written with strong discontent, her tone as cold and biting as a winter wind.
"Meet me at the top of Wutai Mountain." The shopkeeper smiled and whispered to Kawano Ryoko, then raised his voice: "Sir, your braised pork with chestnuts is ready, and we've also prepared some Fen wine for you. Enjoy!"
Kawano Ryoko was stunned, and the shopkeeper took advantage of her distraction to walk past her, open the lid of the bamboo basket, and hand out wine and meat to the fire crow.
At this time, Kawano Ryoko thought that the previous efforts were in vain and was about to part with Huaya, so she rushed to Wutai Mountain overnight to see Shang Feng. Her heart ached secretly, and she felt sad and couldn't help but cry.
"The lady needs to keep her figure, I've prepared vegetarian dishes for you, please follow me." The shopkeeper quickly arranged the wine and meat, then pulled out Kawano Ryoko and whispered in her ear: "Follow me."
"Where are we going?" Kawano Ryoko had a feeling of being kidnapped.
Wutai Mountain.
Kawano Ryoko retorted, "It's so late, going to Wutai Mountain, can't you have a bit of human feeling?"
The young shopkeeper smiled wryly and said, "I'll go fetch water to wash the vegetables, but I won't be late for our duel; I'll be back soon."
Kawano Ryoko furrowed her brow and said: "Who are you kidding? Am I taking a plane?"
The shopkeeper's assistant shouted: "I've seen foolish people before, but I've never seen anyone as foolish as you!"
"What?" Kawano Ryoko had always been looked up to, never ridiculed. This guy who looked down on people made her lose her temper and lash out, but the hand that had just struck out was caught by the shop assistant, and it hurt so much that she couldn't move.
"We've arrived at Wutai Mountain, let's go in." The shopkeeper released Kawano Ryoko's hand and knocked on the door of another room to remind them.
At this time, Kawano Ryoko suddenly looked up and saw that the door frame of this room was hanging a sign with "Wutai Mountain" written on it. She turned her head again to look at the room where she and Huo Ya were staying, which had a sign that read "Cloud Ridge Caves".
When Kawano Ryoko first arrived, she carefully observed and there were no signs, so when did the "Cloud Ridge Stone Caves" sign get hung up?
Kawano Ryoko thought that this inn was as mysterious as a small shop, and it might be a black shop that eats people without spitting out bones. She regretted being deceived by the shopkeeper and letting him lead her by the nose, thinking of turning back. However, the characteristics of a professional agent made her curious, so she dispelled the idea and cautiously entered "Wutai Mountain".
This room called "Wutai Mountain" is not very large, but it's more than twice as wide as the "Yungang Grottoes". There is only one bed, one table and two single stools in the house. The bed is smaller than the one I had with Huo Que, but looks particularly exquisite.
Kawano Ryoko thought, did the instructor intentionally give orders in this situation, or was it to get rid of her first? When she first entered the special high course, she was already targeted by that monkey-like instructor. His reason was simple: he couldn't let Japan's chicks be taken away by those filthy and stupid Chinese goods. Although she repeatedly declared that she had broken up with her boyfriend, she still couldn't escape the instructor's clutches.
"What about him?" Kawano Ryoko turned to ask the shop assistant, her brow furrowed in concern.
"Isn't the deputy director human?" The shopkeeper suddenly changed his face, straightened his waist that had been bent for a long time, and his smiling face turned stern. He no longer lowered his head or eyes, but instead spoke loudly: "Miss Kawano, the deputy director doesn't like being looked down on by dogs, let alone a dog that has lost its sense of smell."
"Bad luck!" Kawanou Ryoko lamented in her heart, having just been reminded of that disgusting monkey-like instructor and now about to be trampled by a mangy dog.
"Go to bed." The shopkeeper urged, pointing to the bed.
"What are you doing? You're shameless! " Kawano Ryoko shouted, then brought out the Crow Team again to suppress her opponent: "I'm a member of the Crow Team!"
"Damn it!" The shopkeeper cursed and spat again, then said: "A good plan was ruined by the Crow Team!"
"Don't insult my Ravens!" Kawano Ryoko had a very high sense of collective honor, her voice was loud and almost yelling.
"Alright, alright!" The shopkeeper calmed down and said: "Quickly go to bed."
Kawano Ryoko gave him a cold look: "I don't?"
The young shopkeeper sneered and said, "This is none of your business."
Kawano Ryōko snorted, saying: "Don't talk big, you think this broken inn can trap me?"
The shopkeeper's assistant sneered and said, "Don't believe it? Try it out and see."
Kawano Ryoko walked to the door, reached out to pull the door bolt, and a current suddenly passed through her whole body, knocking her down. After steadying herself, she tried to open the window again, but was still unable to stand upright.
Just as Kayano Ryoko was stumbling about, the shop boy took advantage of the situation and pulled her onto the bed. She instinctively struggled against him.
Unexpectedly, Kawano Ryoko exerted her strength and a strange noise was heard. The entire bed fell down along with her and the young shop assistant.
