Chapter Fifty-One: Power
In a nondescript abandoned warehouse, silence reigns, the floor cluttered with all sorts of junk, occasionally a mouse or two scurrying out from the corners, frolicking along the walls.
There is an underground room about five or six meters under this abandoned warehouse. The underground room has more than 70 square meters, with three rooms. The largest room occupies about 60 square meters.
In this sixty-square-meter room, all kinds of electronic instruments were placed, and devices similar to radios were everywhere. More than a dozen soldiers in formal attire were busy in front of the radio, and upon closer inspection, it was found that their lowest military rank was actually lieutenant.
"Sir, we've got a problem." A young lieutenant suddenly stood up from beside the radio, looking very pale.
A middle-aged man walked over quickly, he wasn't wearing a military uniform, and his rank couldn't be seen.
"What's going on?" The middle-aged man furrowed his brow, these people were all elites from the command center of the headquarters, and the young lieutenant in front of him was only responsible for wireless communication, what could he possibly have to say.
The lieutenant's face looked very unsightly, and he said with great difficulty: "All ten squad members have opened wireless communication, but...but one group's wireless communication has actually been password-protected..."
A middle-aged man said casually: "This is normal, you're in charge of the general platform, password data sources will all pass through you, can't you just decipher it directly?"
The lieutenant's face turned even uglier, and he was somewhat pale. He forced himself to calm down and said: "The problem is, they cracked the general terminal's authority, directly shielding the general terminal's data source, and set a non-rule double-layer password..."
"What?!" The middle-aged man's face changed instantly, and he couldn't help but let out a loud roar.
Others stopped their work and stared at the middle-aged man. The young lieutenant in front of him even quickly lowered his head to the ground, not daring to look up at the middle-aged man.
The middle-aged man realized his mistake and turned back to scold loudly, "What are you looking at? Are you very free? Do you want to find something else to do?"
Others suddenly became busy again, as if nothing had happened just now.
"There are actually people like this... what a pity..." The middle-aged man muttered to himself, suddenly remembering someone - the young boy who kept asking questions when he was lecturing at the general's base two days ago.
Could it be him? But I've only known him for less than four hours.
"Which group is it?" the middle-aged man asked in a low voice.
"Second Lieutenant said in a low voice: 'Group B701.'"
The middle-aged man was shocked, is it him? It's really him! However, after listening to my class for only four hours, he can actually use the sub-station to crack the master station authority, shielding the data source with double-layer irregular encryption.
A middle-aged man suddenly had an idea in his mind and said faintly, "Find a way to crack the code, don't worry about anything else, and this matter cannot be reported."
"If the general asks..." the lieutenant muttered.
The middle-aged man's face turned cold, and he let out a cold snort. "If the general asks," he said, "what do you think you should say? You can consider telling the truth and see if the general dares to send you to military court."
The lieutenant's face turned a sheet of white, with no trace of blood color visible.
"You'd better decipher it quickly and hope that the general doesn't ask about this matter. Of course, if the general does ask, you think of what to say yourself."
The middle-aged man threw down a cold sentence and left with a swagger.
It was just before dusk, the sun had almost completely dipped below the horizon, leaving only a faint reddish glow. At this moment, six shadows suddenly appeared on the city wall of Bath, climbing rapidly along it.
The wall of the city of Bas was only a little over three meters high and uneven, making it easy to climb. In less than a minute, Xu Ming and his companions had climbed over the top and quickly disappeared.
"They're moving fast." Lying down the telescope, Aili said coldly, "While others are still in a daze, let's climb over the wall and enter the city too."
Charlie hesitated for a moment and said somewhat reluctantly, "The hole left in the wall is big enough to accommodate two people. It seems like crawling through the hole isn't a bad choice either."
"Oh? Is that so?" Aili's voice suddenly stopped, she picked up the telescope to take a look, and there were several more figures appearing, and those few figures' target was exactly the wall hole.
Ellie handed the binoculars over to Charlie and said coldly, "You take a look yourself."
Charlie took the telescope and saw that there were five people, almost identical in attire to them, who were stealthily advancing towards the wall hole. Then one of them led the way and climbed through the wall hole first.
The other four people were squatting on the ground, about five meters apart from each other, looking like they were guarding their own people behind them.
Seeing no apparent unusual situation, the second person decided to go in.
Suddenly a crisp sound came from the wall hole, and it sounded like a hand grenade explosion from far away.
"Ah!"
A mournful cry echoed from the wall hole, and the person who had just crawled in suddenly appeared at the mouth of the wall hole. Through the opening, it was clear to see that half of his body was covered in blood, and both legs were gone.
"This is... anti-infantry landmine..." Charlie's voice was trembling, he finally understood why Xu Ming and the others had to climb over the wall. At the same time, he also took a fearful glance at Ai Li, it seemed that Ai Li also knew there was something fishy about that hole in the wall.
One of the men near the wall hole made a gesture to retreat, and the other three slowly slipped away in another direction. Apparently, the explosion had already alerted the enemy, and even climbing the wall was no longer possible here.
That person hesitated for a moment, then ran to the wall hole and seemed to be saying something to the boy with the broken leg. But the boy with the broken leg just moved his lips twice, and his head tilted to one side.
That man wanted to take the number plate from the broken-legged boy's neck and walk away, but at this time a shocking explosion suddenly rang out, and within ten meters of the broken-legged boy, it was like a mushroom cloud rising, that tattered wall collapsed with a loud crash.
That's still not all, the sound of the explosion connected in a chain reaction, another blast, and the hundred-year-old city wall of Bas town was blown out with a ten-meter-wide vacant lot.
It's worth noting that the city walls of Bas are not high, but they're over two meters thick. Even if you were to use tanks to blast them, it would likely take at least twenty or so vehicles firing together to achieve this effect.
Only Charlie and Aery knew what was going on. Charlie looked around at his teammates with a stunned expression, while Aery still had an icy demeanor. She just wanted to see the power of that miniature temperature-effect sensor bomb, and it seemed to be beyond her expectations.
"Let's go, since we've already stirred up trouble, there's no need to cover it up anymore. Fortunately, it's not just us."
Aili said coldly and led the way in another direction into the bushes, disappearing without a trace.
