Chapter 34: The Number of People in a Large Troop (2)

Kinabalu Mountain is the highest peak in Malaysia. The latest free chapter can be found by visiting [website]. Located in the northeastern part of the Crocker Range in Sabah, Malaysia, Kinabalu Mountain has six peaks with an elevation of over 4,000 meters, including the main peak, Low's Peak, which has an elevation of 4,095 meters. The mountain is composed of granite and has a unique landscape.

The vertical change in scenery is very obvious. At the foot of the mountain, there are tropical lowlands and hills; above 1,500 meters, the vegetation is lush; at around 2,150 meters, high-altitude plants begin to appear, including moss forests and pitcher plants; at 2,650 meters, the forest becomes a cloud forest, with twisted tree trunks; between 2,900-3,000 meters, rhododendrons and orchids are abundant, creating a silver world; above 3,350 meters, the soil is poor, and only low-growing shrubs can be found in the rocky crevices.

The mountain is home to many rare animals, including the proboscis monkey, orangutan, and Sumatran rhinoceros. The moss forest is also home to small tree frogs and snakes.

Kinabalu Mountain has a very complex terrain, and even locals do not fully understand its geography. Outsiders find it mysterious, which is why it is also known as the "Mysterious Mountain".

To fight a guerrilla war in this mountain, one must have a deep understanding of its terrain. Therefore, Tianhu arranged for 20 days of battlefield training, focusing on discipline, shooting, and hand-to-hand combat, followed by 10 days of wilderness survival training, where participants would venture into the mountain with only one weapon and no food to familiarize themselves with the terrain.

The war was imminent, and loved ones were being harmed every day. The training could not afford to be gentle. All the men and women who joined the guerrilla team hated the Japanese invaders and did not want to show any courtesy. They were all eager to hone their skills and kill more enemies on the battlefield.

Tianhu, who had participated in the defense of Singapore and had personally commanded troops, was familiar with the requirements of the battlefield. Therefore, he began by teaching everyone some essential combat techniques and methods.

Tianhu chose a thorny area for training and shouted, "Assemble!" But many team members did not understand what to do and slowly walked over, looking around curiously. Tianhu called out the names of several small team leaders who had fought alongside him before, including Lü Liangwei, Guo Qie, Li Fei, Aihamaide, Mahai'erde, and Hane'erde.

The six men immediately ran over to report for duty. Tianhu nodded in satisfaction and ordered them to gather all the participants of the guerrilla team and rescue team. The six men quickly dispersed to call out the others, urging them to hurry up and assemble.

After some effort, everyone was finally gathered together. Li Fei straightened out the ranks, and Tianhu began his training session.
