Chapter 23: Being Chased by the Enemy's Three Routes (2)
"I don't know if everyone has calculated it, but earlier, the enemy that passed by had around 130 people, and the total number of people in the three enemy camps is only about 140. It can be imagined that almost all of the enemy forces have been mobilized, which gives us an opportunity to launch a surprise attack on them," Tianhu explained while running.
"If we don't find them after they return, they will definitely split their troops to guard outside the camp, and only half of the people who returned to the camp can rest. Because of the long march, they must be tired and sleepy. Can they sleep like dead pigs?"
"That's right, Tianhu has a good idea. This is our chance to launch a surprise attack on them," someone said.
"No, we won't launch a surprise attack on them," Tianhu replied with a smile while running.
"What do you mean? What will we do when we get back?" someone asked.
"Everyone, don't argue, listen to me," Tianhu said, turning around and continuing to run. "We won't launch a surprise attack, but instead, we'll infiltrate their camp."
"What do you mean by infiltrating their camp?" someone asked.
"The enemy has already mobilized all their forces, so there are only a few people left in the camp. We will sneak into the camp and kill those who are left behind, then hide in the camp and wait for the enemy to return. When they fall asleep, we'll quietly take them out one by one, and then launch a surprise attack from inside the camp, wiping out the enemy forces that are guarding outside. If everything goes smoothly, we can solve the problem within 10 minutes."
Tianhu explained his plan to his teammates.
"That's brilliant!" someone exclaimed. "If we do it this way, taking down the enemy at the mountain pass won't be a problem!"
"It's not that easy, but I hope everyone will follow the plan and not take any rash actions that might put us in danger or delay our mission," Tianhu said. "Did everyone hear me?"
"Yes!" all the teammates replied in unison.
"Tianhu, don't worry, no one will object to your plan anymore. We all admire you and will listen to you," the Malaysian man who had previously disagreed with Tianhu said, running up to him.
"Great, thank you! Let's work together," Tianhu said, patting the man on the shoulder.
Tianhu led his teammates to the enemy camp at the mountain pass, killed the remaining enemy forces inside, and took their place.
The Malaysian man who had previously disagreed with Tianhu came up to him again and suggested, "Can I take three people to the left enemy camp and kill the remaining enemy forces? If Ahmad and the others are still alive, I'll rescue them and hold back the returning enemy forces to facilitate your actions."
"That's a good idea," Tianhu said. "You, you, and you, go to the right enemy camp and take it over. Rescue the people who were captured earlier. When the enemy returns, don't move, wait for us to attack, then launch a surprise attack from inside the camp and set their camp on fire, disrupting their formation."
After the six men split up to the left and right camps, Tianhu had the others hide in the camp and wait for the enemy to return.
About an hour later, the enemy returned.
"Cough, cough," someone disguised as a Japanese soldier coughed twice, signaling to those hiding in the camp.
The atmosphere became tense.
