Chapter 2: The First Encounter
Liu Shi Qiang quickly opened a small gap in the window curtain and looked down, only to see several cars speeding away. "The enemy is acting again," he thought to himself, "I wonder which comrade will suffer this time."
He closed the curtain and checked his luggage before heading out. As he walked halfway, several cars sped past him again.
Liu Shi Qiang stopped and thought for a moment before starting to run quickly. He ran for a while and then jumped onto a wall, using it as a springboard to propel himself over another wall.
He landed softly on the ground and continued running until he reached a small alleyway. There, he hid behind a pile of crates and observed the surroundings.
Suddenly, he heard footsteps approaching. A group of enemy agents appeared, searching for someone. Liu Shi Qiang held his breath as they passed by him, mere inches away.
After they left, he let out a sigh of relief and continued on his mission. He navigated through the alleys, avoiding detection by the enemy agents.
Meanwhile, at the enemy's headquarters, Chen * Yu was talking to Liu Shi Qiang. "Little Strong, Uncle almost didn't recognize you," Chen said with a smile. "These past few years have been good to you?"
Liu Shi Qiang smiled back and replied, "It's all thanks to your guidance and care, Uncle. I've become what I am today because of you."
Chen * Yu chuckled and said, "That's also due to your own talent and hard work. Come, let's have some tea." He poured Liu Shi Qiang a cup of tea.
Liu Shi Qiang took a sip and thanked Chen * Yu. Chen continued, "You know, I was close friends with your father back in the day. We were even captured by the Japanese together during the war."
Liu Shi Qiang listened intently as Chen * Yu told him about his father's bravery and sacrifice.
Just then, Mei Wen Jie entered the room, looking for Chen * Yu. She saw Liu Shi Qiang and hesitated for a moment before speaking.
"The interrogation didn't go well," she reported to Chen * Yu. "The communist bit off his tongue."
Chen * Yu asked her to explain, and Mei Wen Jie glanced at Liu Shi Qiang before continuing. As she spoke, she couldn't help but think of the past, when Liu Shi Qiang had killed a traitor in front of her.
Back then, Mei Wen Jie had been furious with Liu Shi Qiang for killing the traitor, who had information about their organization. She had even pointed her gun at Liu Shi Qiang, demanding to know why he had done it.
Now, as she looked at Liu Shi Qiang, she couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions.
