Chapter 19: Fled into the dense forest

Chapter 19: Escaping into the Dense Forest

The off-road vehicle was driving on a bumpy dirt road, and Board Dragon was silent, only focusing on speeding up. The two soldiers sitting next to me were also quiet, their eyes fixed on the front without blinking. The atmosphere inside the car was as still as death.

My hands were tightly handcuffed behind my back, and every bump made my wrists ache. "I have to escape, or I'll become a dead man under Liu Hui's gun!" I thought to myself. I had made up my mind, so I shouted loudly: "Stop the car!"

Board Dragon instinctively stepped on the brakes when he heard my shout. "What are you doing? Why are you shouting?" he yelled back at me.

"I'm sorry, I have a sudden urge to use the restroom. Can you let me get out of the car for a bit?" I asked Board Dragon in a polite tone.

Board Dragon was annoyed and said: "You're making too many excuses! Just pee in the car!"

I pretended to be embarrassed and said: "No way, I need to take a dump. You wouldn't want me to do it in the car, would you?"

Board Dragon said: "Can't you just hold it in for a bit longer?" I replied: "No, I've been holding it in for too long already."

  "Damn it!" Board Dragon cursed.

One of the soldiers spoke up and said: "Actually, we want to believe that you're innocent, but whether we believe you or not doesn't matter. Please just hurry up and do your business so we can get back on the road and complete our mission."

I nodded and said: "Alright, my hands are cuffed. Can you help me undo my belt?"

As the soldier was helping me with my belt, I used my "shrinking bone" technique to escape from the handcuffs while observing Board Dragon in the distance. He was standing next to the off-road vehicle, smoking a cigarette and occasionally glancing over at me.

Just as I managed to free my right hand from the cuffs, Board Dragon looked over at me again, and our eyes met. In that instant, he seemed to realize something and quickly pulled out his gun, aiming it at me.

"What are you doing?" he shouted.

Without hesitation, I said to the two soldiers: "Sorry, brothers!" and knocked them unconscious with a few swift moves. At the same time, Board Dragon fired his gun, but the bullet whizzed past my head.

I grabbed one of the soldier's rifles and took cover behind a nearby depression, returning fire at Board Dragon. "Board Dragon, it's either you or me today!" I shouted as I advanced towards him.

However, just as I was about to overpower Board Dragon, a small group of government soldiers appeared on the scene, heading in our direction. Board Dragon saw them and shouted: "Allied brothers, come quickly and help me capture this traitor!"

The situation had turned against me, and if I continued fighting, I risked harming the allied soldiers or getting myself killed. Seeing that the odds were against me, I retreated into the dense forest, carrying my rifle...
