Chapter 004 Intelligence Base (Part 2)
Laim took out the photos of Briza, Imrani, and "The Messenger" and showed them to the prisoners. No one recognized them.
As they were about to leave, Laim saw a prisoner being tortured by a female soldier. The prisoner was later identified as Sabir. After Laim intervened and stopped the torture, Sabir thanked him and looked at the photos again. This time, he recognized "The Messenger" as Selerman, a suicide bombing instructor who had trained them in human bomb tactics.
Laim's eyes widened as he realized that "The Messenger" was wearing a suicide vest under his Arab robe. He quickly returned to the surface, his mind racing with thoughts of the danger that "The Messenger" posed.
As he exited the elevator and entered his office, he suddenly felt a presence behind him. He instinctively ducked and turned around, grabbing the person's head and slamming them to the ground.
To his surprise, it was a woman - a beautiful 20-year-old blonde with piercing blue eyes. She looked familiar, and Laim's mind flashed back to the name "Ellen".
Ellen was the daughter of the American ambassador to Iraq, and she had been waiting for Laim at the Flower Garden Hotel the previous night. Laim quickly came up with an excuse, telling her that he had been called away by General Jackson for a drink and didn't know how he got back.
Ellen looked at him with tears in her eyes and reached out to unbutton his pants. "Laim, where were you last night? I waited for you all evening."
