Loulan: The Nine Great Dramatic Plot Points of the Work

  Preface

In 77 BC, the Western Han Dynasty sent Pingle Monitor Fu Jiezi to Loulan to assassinate King Angui and establish a new king.

After the rebellion in Loulan was put down, Emperor Zhao of Han immediately appointed Wei Tuo Yan as the new king; and changed the name of Loulan to Shanshan, granted the national seal, gave palace maidens as wives and a large number of carriages and horses. When bidding farewell, Wei Tuo Yan said to Emperor Zhao: "I have been living in Chang'an for a long time, now I am going back to be the king, alone and afraid that it will be difficult to convince the people. Moreover, the son of the former king is still there, and after returning, he may be killed by his enemies. In Loulan, there is a city called Yilun, which is a rich and beautiful oasis, the emperor can send a general with troops to garrison there and accumulate grain, so that I will have something to rely on." Therefore, the Han dynasty immediately sent a lieutenant, leading 40 soldiers to return to the Western Regions with Wei Tuo Yan.

After Yī Zhì succeeded to the throne, he was terrified day and night, unable to sleep, fearing that he could not suppress the former An Gui Wang's old subordinates, and even more worried that his brother An Gui Wang's son was still alive; worrying that he would be killed by enemies every day and lose his life. Therefore, he petitioned Emperor Zhao of the Western Han for help. The Han emperor ordered He Qi and Sima to assist in killing his sister-in-law and nephew to eliminate future troubles; as a result, many tribal kings and nobles were dissatisfied, although they were angry but did not dare to speak out. A loyal minister and old subordinate secretly rescued An Gui Wang's young second son and daughter from Chen Cang, and from then on, they hid their names and identities in a remote fishing village at Luo Hu Po.

After the elimination of the troubles in the heart, it was formally announced to the world that Loulan State would be changed to Shanshan, and the capital would be moved. The national capital was moved from the north shore of Lop Nur's Loulan old city (Fangcheng) to Nijia City (now Ruoqiang County), and the Han Dynasty also established Yilun Duhu in Yilun City (36th Team Milan Ruins) east of Nijia City.

In an instant, the ground shook, rocks flew, and the cave collapsed, and when the hermit looked again, Anran had vanished.

An Ran floated in the snow, helplessly shouting "Master, what should I do? Don't leave your disciple alone!"

A voice drifted from afar: "Piao Xue, you can now meet your Shixiong. He will return to look for you after seeing the stone cave collapse. You must treat the herders well and lead them away from here!"
