Wang Hu retires from the army

Wang Hu retires from the army (Second update seeking collection and recommendation)

  "Bang!"

The wall suddenly collapsed, dust flying everywhere, and the leader and his men were pressed underneath. As the dust was blown away by the wind, a figure slowly emerged from the other side of the wall. It was Tang Ao, whose shoulder area was now a bloody mess, and his face was covered in cold sweat due to the intense pain. The collapse of the wall was caused by him crashing into it!

The wall collapsed, but Tang Ao, who only had one arm and one leg that could move, did not leave. Instead, he pulled out a hand grenade from his waist. Tang Ao knew that the crumbling wall was not enough to crush the rebel leader and his men.

  "Whoosh!"

A brick moved, and a head suddenly poked out from among the bricks. It was the last remaining rebel soldier.

The rebel soldier who poked his head out stared at the ferocious eyes that were just inches away, and he was stunned as he looked at Tang Ao. He was stunned, but Tang Ao moved. With his only movable arm, he swung a grenade like a brick and slammed it heavily onto the rebel soldier's forehead!

  "Die! Die!! Die!!!!"

After a blow, the rebel army was already dizzy, but Tang Ao continued to hammer one after another, smashing hand grenades on the rebel army's head, shouting "die" with each blow, crazy and bloody!

The rebel's skull was smashed by Tang Ao, and the skin was cracked open. The person had long been dead, but at this time, another head emerged from the nearby bricks, which was the leader who had been shot through the shoulder!

  "Taste this!"

Tang Ao used his mouth to pull out the safety pin on the grenade, grasped the handle and pulled it open. With a sudden stretch of his hand, he stuffed the fist-sized grenade into the rebel leader's mouth, then stood up and limped away quickly!

  "Waaaah!"

The rebel leader desperately wanted to spit out the grenade in his mouth, but it was too big and he couldn't get it out. The grenade's delayed explosion had only 4 or 5 seconds left.

  "Boom!!"

At nightfall, Wang Hu returned in a helicopter to pick them up, but the battle had already stopped. Wang Hu slid down from the helicopter with one arm, his other arm bandaged and tied behind his back. He charged into the bloody town filled with corpses, his face cold and stiff without any change!

  "Whoosh!"

A faint sound came from the ruins of a building in front, Wang Hu picked up his gun and walked cautiously and quickly towards the ruins. In the ruins, there was a big pit, a lonely figure, with his head down, struggling to move away the broken bricks and tiles, as if looking for something, it was Tang Ao!

Wang Hu put the gun behind his back and rushed into the big pit, patted Tang Ao's shoulder with his hand, just about to speak, but before he could open his mouth, Tang Ao fell down in the ruins with a "thud". Wang Hu turned Tang Ao's body over and carefully checked him, confirming that he was unconscious.

Tang Ao, who was in a coma, still held something in his hand. Under the moonlight, it turned out to be an arm sticking out from among the broken bricks and tiles. Wang Hu frowned and grabbed that arm, carefully pulling its owner out of the ruins - it was Lei Feng!

A week later, 'First Fleet' base!

  In the white-colored hospital room!

A majestic middle-aged man stood in front of the bed, with a few golden flowers on his shoulders that were dazzling. The man took out a basket of food from behind and said solemnly: "Lei Ting, this is plum brought by Mei for you!"

The thunder on the sickbed still had a wooden expression, only staring at the middle-aged man with dead eyes, and didn't say a word!

"You were injured while carrying out the task, I'm so proud!" The middle-aged man's eyes looking at Lei Feng were filled with admiration: "You are indeed a son of my Lei family!"

"Your pride was bought with the lives of my comrades, if I'm not mistaken, this is the first time you've ever acknowledged me, acknowledged what I've done!" Lei Feng finally spoke up, his voice laced with melancholy.

"This is the first time, and it's also the first time you've made me look at you in a new light!"

"I don't need your pity, get out! From today on, I, Lei Feng, have nothing to do with you. Please act as if this son of yours never existed... Forgive my unfilialness... Bang!"

The sound of the thunder was so decisive, he grasped a finger and fiercely pinched it off, instantly fracturing the bone and severing the tendon. Those eyes, filled with bloodshot, still stared fixedly at the middle-aged man!

"You have my blood flowing through your veins, the Lei family's blood, a soldier's blood, and that's something you can never change!"

The middle-aged man left, but his solemn voice lingered in the ward for a long time.

In the quiet hospital backyard, Tang Ao sat in a wheelchair staring blankly at a withered trumpet flower, his eyes dull and lifeless, if not for the faint sound of breathing, he would have been no different from a dead man.

  Tang Ao!

A cold and emotionless shout came from behind, Tang Ao turned his head in a daze, it was Wang Hu.

  "How's the Tigers and Thunder?"

"You dug him out from under the rubble, and he's actually tougher than you are, didn't get hurt, and was discharged from the hospital a few days ago to resume training!" Wang Hu said as he pulled out a small box from his pocket, saying: "This is for you!"

Wang Hu threw the small brocade box with the national emblem to Tang Ao, it was a medal, an honor that every soldier dreamed of, but Tang Ao didn't get excited about it and just stared blankly at the box.

"Wang Hu's icy voice rang out again: 'Open it, I'll put it on for you!'"

Tang Ao used his only movable arm to open the brocade box, and Wang Hu single-handedly picked up the medal and put it on Tang Ao's chest. Then he puffed out his chest, raised his arm, and gave a solemn salute to Tang Ao. However, Tang Ao did not return the salute, but instead stared at Wang Hu's empty left sleeve, as well as his clean shoulder and collar. It was only then that he noticed something was off!

Wang Hu touched the empty left sleeve with his right hand and said coldly, "The bones were shattered by bullets and cannot be treated. Amputation is the only solution!"

"What about epaulets and collar badges?"

Tang Ao's already pale face suddenly became even more bloodless, he knew what it meant, but he didn't want to believe it.

Wang Hu said in a cold voice: "The army is increasingly emphasizing special operations, and experimental special forces have been established with good results. Now all major military regions are starting to build special forces, and many of the first squadron's good brothers have been poached as instructors. The first squadron is facing a major reshuffle..."

"Have I asked you these things?"

Emotionally agitated Tang Ao tore off the newly awarded medal that had not yet warmed up on his body and fiercely threw it into a distant grass thicket, almost shouting to ask Wang Hu: "I'm asking you, where are your shoulder badges and collar pins?"

For Tang Ao's rudeness, Wang Hu didn't show the slightest anger this time, and calmly said: "The First Brigade has no acquaintances, staying is meaningless to me - I'm retiring!"

Listening to Wang Hu say the word "retire" with his own mouth, Tang Ao, who was emotionally excited, muttered like a deflated balloon: "Don't I and Lei Feng count as your acquaintances? Do you have to retire?"

"I'm now a disabled person, have you ever seen a disabled person in a modernized army? Who would want me if I don't retire? Do you think I'm General Liu Bocheng? An iron-clad army camp and flowing water soldiers, soldiers will always face this day!"

Wang Hu's icy expression revealed a hint of self-mockery, but more was bitter helplessness: "Tomorrow, see off Xu Ziqin, remember to go!"

Wang Hu left, and Tang Ao was stunned again, but this time it wasn't an unconscious stun, rather his face was gloomy as if he was thinking about something!

"Ow! What's this thing? It's so prickly!"

A shrill cry rang out and pulled Tang Ao back to reality, it was Zou Wu, the man who had just come down from the training field like a muddy ghost!

Zou Wu limped up to Tang Ao, holding the military medal, and scolded loudly: "Was it you who set this trap? Is a military medal something used for setting traps?"

Tang Ao snatched the military medal and rolled his wheelchair towards the inpatient department, saying in a cold voice: "Call me up at 7 o'clock tomorrow morning!"

"Hmph, what's with the pretentious act!" Zou Wu muttered indignantly.

The next morning, it seemed that the heavens were intentionally teasing people's weaknesses, and the sky was actually drifting with a misty little rain!

Tang Ao, dressed in military uniform, sat in a wheelchair and was pushed by Zou Wu to the first Martyrs' Cemetery of the First Battalion, which was filled with cypresses, pines and maples. Many soldiers and officers from the First Battalion had arrived at the cemetery, including Zhu Zhanlin, the rarely seen Major General and Political Commissar Zhu. This made the atmosphere in the cemetery increasingly solemn and heavy!

Xu Ziqin's parents were taken by helicopter, the two elderly people hugged Xu Ziqin's ashes box and wept silently, Zhang Sunqi, Yuan Li and others also couldn't help but shed tears.

Wang Hu didn't cry, and Tang Ao also didn't know why he didn't cry. He just looked at everything with a gloomy face. But Zou Wu, who was pushing the wheelchair for him, suddenly found that Tang Ao's body was shaking violently, to the point where even the wheelchair under him was trembling!

The urn was sealed, the tombstone was erected, and the mournful music started playing. Wang Hu took out a folded national flag and asked his parents to place it in front of Xu Ziqin's grave. However, the emotional elderly couple refused to take the flag and just cried uncontrollably!

Wang Hu's expression on his face was still stiff and cold, but his eyes were red. He no longer bothered the two old men, but instead turned around and walked to Tang Ao who was sitting in a wheelchair, handed over the national flag and said in a cold voice: "Put the national flag in front of the grave!"

Zou Wu pushed Tang Ao to the front of the tombstone, and the 13 members of the 14th squad of the Thunderbolt Commandos fired a salute with their Type 56 semi-automatic rifles: "Fire!"

  "Bang!!!"

Uniform and synchronized gunfire pierced the sky, the scorching bullets that shot out of the gun mouths ignited a burst of white smoke filled with the smell of gunpowder as soon as they came into contact with the fine rain. The sound of gunfire rang out one after another. At the first gunshot, Tang Ao, who was in front of the tombstone, suddenly covered his face with the national flag and sobbed uncontrollably, crying so hard that all the pent-up emotions finally burst out.

On the battlefield, he didn't cry. When he learned that Wang Hu was retiring, he didn't cry. But now, he suddenly felt like crying, wanted to have a good cry!

The gunfire stopped, the fine rain also stopped. Tang Ao buried his face in the national flag and sobbed uncontrollably, his crying becoming more and more out of control. Everyone looked at him quietly, looking at this ordinary-looking but extremely arrogant person, looking at this thorn in the side of the "First Great Team" which was full of crazy people, like a child who had suffered a great injustice, wailing loudly!

Zou Wu, who was pushing Tang Ao's wheelchair, couldn't help but cry along with him. She gently patted Tang Ao's shoulder, trying to comfort him: "Little Ao, don't cry anymore, if Old Man Fang finds out about this, he'll be heartbroken!"
