Chapter Twenty: The Man's Wound
At dawn, the assembly whistle sounded again, and dozens of soldiers gathered at the training base, lining up in formation.
The evil wolf and the earth wolf are in charge of special training and are giving a speech on the training ground.
On the distant path, Wu Yaoling walked slowly with a sorrowful expression, her complexion pale and her eyes dull and unfocused. When she passed by the training ground, she didn't even stop for a moment, but went straight to the dormitory.
A group of training warriors saw this and couldn't help but sigh, knowing the outcome of Wu Yaoling. A knot in the heart that cannot be untied will lead to a psychological illness that is difficult to cure, so Wu Yaoling was not eligible to become a special warfare warrior.
A qualified special forces soldier is not allowed to have any mental illness!
The wolf and the jackal exchanged a glance, moved their mouths, wanting to say something, but in the end still endured. Turning their heads away, deliberately pretending not to have seen.
"Everyone is ready, 15km mountain cross-country! Let's go!"
The wolf pack leader barked coldly, and the group of soldiers immediately withdrew their gaze from Wu Yaoling's body, formed a neat line, turned around, and rushed towards the cross-country track in unison.
The two wolves jumped onto the car and drove away quickly without looking back, leaving Wu Yaoling alone to walk towards the dormitory.
Once again, Wu Yaoling tidied up his luggage, and with a reluctant gaze, he took one last look at the dormitory room. He hesitated for a moment before meticulously making each of his comrades' beds and refolding everyone's quilts into neat squares.
After finishing collecting, Wu Yaoling let out a long sigh.
"After all, still no luck!"
He shouldered his backpack, Wu Yaoling picked up his own military cap, stroking the military emblem on it, his eyes lingering reluctantly. After a long time, he smiled bitterly and shook his head helplessly, then put on his military cap and left the dormitory with heavy footsteps.
In the training ground, silence reigns, military flags fluttering, bright and dazzling.
Wu Yaoling came under the military flag, looked up and gazed at the fluttering flag with nostalgia, her eyes rippling with waves, reluctant to leave.
"Sorry, I can no longer keep my promise to you!"
In a low and gentle voice, a hint of pain flashed across Wu Yaoling's eyes. Immediately afterwards, he stood up straight and tall, raised his hand to salute the military flag.
"I'm leaving!"
Silent mourning in my heart, mourning the end of this dream.
The ceremony ended, Wu Yaoling suddenly turned around and strode rapidly towards the outside of the training base.
In the monitoring room, Sima Lei and Da Huilang watched this scene, all of whom couldn't help but sigh.
"What a good sapling, it's really a pity if it leaves!" The big grey wolf sighed.
Simarui's face turned solemn as he nodded, "If his heart knot cannot be untied, then he has no qualification to stay. So, whether this good seedling can grow up or not depends on the ability of the wolf king."
"Do we need to pray?" The big grey wolf chuckled lightly.
"Maybe!"
The two of them looked at each other for a moment, then immediately shifted their gaze back to the surveillance screen. At this time, on the screen, Wu Yaoling had already walked out of the training ground with his backpack, crossed the training track, and arrived at the gathering place of the training ground.
At this time, in the gathering place, General Lang Wolf had already been waiting here.
Farewell, Cang Lang. Wu Yaoling's expression faltered for a moment, and his resolute footsteps slowed down slightly. His figure stopped outside the gathering place, his eyes flashing before calmly meeting Cang Lang's gaze.
Four eyes met, and they were both silent.
In the vast gathering place, there were only two figures standing alone on either side, silent and still. They stared at each other for a long time, until Wu Yaoling finally couldn't bear the other's piercing gaze, and was the first to look away, taking another step forward, directly passing by the figure of Cang Lang, heading out of the training base.
"Halt!"
However, just as Wu Yaoling's figure and the wolf brushed past each other, the latter suddenly shouted, causing Wu Yaoling's footsteps to pause, and his departing figure came to an abrupt halt.
However, Wu Yaoling's movement was stiff and she did not turn around.
Silent and speechless, Wu Yaoling still didn't utter a word.
Cang Lang fell silent for a moment, then turned around and gazed at Wu Yaoling with an indifferent expression, asking in a cold tone, "Are you leaving just like that?"
"Hmm!" Wu Yaoling nodded calmly.
"Do you feel resigned?" The Ash Wolf continued to ask without changing his expression.
Suddenly, Wu Yaoling's eyes flashed, but she remained silent and didn't respond.
Are you willing?
How could he be willing!
However, faced with various rules and disciplines, what can he do even if he is unwilling? His heart disease has no one to solve it, his heartache has no one to understand.
Or can what's lost come back again?
At this moment, Wu Yaoling's heart surged with waves of powerlessness, silently taking a breath, and finally stepped out of the training base without saying a word.
The problem of the gray wolf is something he cannot answer and also cannot respond to.
"Halt!"
Cang Lang saw this, and suddenly shouted in anger. He strode forward with large steps, intercepting Wu Yaoling's path. His eyes were coldly staring at the latter, his gaze full of resentment and regret.
"Are you giving up like this? Are you fleeing in such a sorry state? Have you forgotten the dreams in your heart? Do you want to leave another regret in your heart? Are you timid?"
The gray wolf scolded continuously, and his words were filled with resentment.
"Do you know what you're doing? Do you know what it means once you step out of the door? I can tell you very seriously, if you leave here, your future will be struggling in pain. Your heart won't calm down, and it's impossible for it to calm down again, because it's already filled with regret, and has been wounded by your cowardice. Because you can't respect your heart, you can't protect your heart, and you can't protect the dreams hidden deep within your heart."
"It's because you're timid!"
Cang Lang's rebuke made Wu Yaoling's face turn sorrowful, and a hint of struggle flashed in his deep eyes. Unconsciously, his eyes had already turned red, and his hands were clenched into fists with great force.
Is he really timid?
Wu Yaoling patted her heart and asked herself, but she couldn't find the answer for a long time.
Noticing Wu Yaoling's emotional changes, Cang Lang's severe expression slightly eased, and his tone became somewhat more relaxed.
"If you give up because of cowardice, I will look down on you! Your comrades will look down on you! Your friends and family will also look down on you!"
"Because the weak don't deserve respect!"
Cang Lang's tone was sincere, yet stern, making Wu Yaoling feel a pang of sadness in her heart, and her eyes couldn't help but mist over with a thin layer of fog, as the intense sorrow grew more and more unbearable.
"I have no choice!"
Wu Yaoling clenched her teeth tightly, her expression a mixture of sadness and pain.
Cang Lang couldn't help but secretly sigh, and immediately walked up to gently pat Wu Yaoling's shoulder, his expression warm and sincere as he said: "Men always like to bury their pain deep in their hearts, and then at midnight, alone by themselves, they heal. I can understand, because I'm a man too!"
"But some heavy wounds, if not cleaned up, will eventually fester into illness."
