Episode 1 Section 7 Prohibited Practice (Part 2)
It was clear that the location where Chen Yang was standing should be an abandoned quarry, although he was a bit surprised but not yet astonished. What truly astonished him was that continuing upwards from this platform, there was no road anymore. A huge cliff wall stood right in front of him, and Xiao Li was climbing up the cliff with his bare hands. This was a real cliff, although the angle wasn't quite vertical, but Xiao Li's slow movement on the rock wall, which seemed to be cut by a knife, gave Chen Yang a strong visual impact.
"Madman!" Chen Yang looked at Little Li on the cliff, and only these two words emerged in his mind. This was not what they called rock climbing practice, there were no protective measures, no ropes, no anti-slip powder, and he had more than 30 kilograms of weight on his back!
Spider-Man?
Would Spiderman dare to do this? Admittedly, the cliff is not very high, measuring it roughly, at most only a dozen or so meters high, even if overestimated, it wouldn't exceed twenty meters. But even so, the difficulty of this is already unimaginable.
Watching Little Li struggling to take steps on the cliff, and then looking at the heavy backpack hanging behind him, Chen Yang's palms were sweating. He didn't dare to shout or call out, because he was afraid that his voice would affect Little Li who was walking on thin ice.
It was just the time when the sun rose, a mountain breeze swept by, and Xiao Li's clothes fluttered in the wind, causing Chen Yang's heart to knot together. The position where he stood was still about thirty meters away from the bottom of the cliff, this section completely inherited the situation below the platform, 45° incline, eyes full of gravel. Even if Chen Yang had the intention of saving Xiao Li when he accidentally fell, it would be impossible to do so.
Just as Chen Yang was sweating for Xiao Li in his heart, Xiao Li, who was on the cliff, turned around and looked at Chen Yang standing below, revealing a smile brighter than the sun. Then, he subtly sped up...
When Little Li climbed to the top of the cliff, Chen Yang felt as if he had also gone through a similar experience and suddenly felt physically and mentally exhausted.
"Hey, kiddo, scared? If you're scared, go back on your own or... I'll throw down a rope for you?" Little Li's voice floated down from the top of the cliff and landed in Chen Yang's ears, but it felt like a steel needle piercing him.
"Fart!" Chen Yang glared with his eyes, looking at the head exposed on the cliff top and shouted: "You little bastard, don't you dare look down on people, aren't you just a small hillbilly? You wait." After finishing speaking, Chen Yang rushed to the foot of the cliff with his hands and feet.
When Chen Yang started climbing, he found that the actual situation was much more complicated than what he saw from below. The first problem was to find a foothold and a handhold on the cliff. With his body stuck to the cliff wall, his vision was restricted at first, and even if he found a good foothold, the distance made it impossible to reach.
All these were nothing compared to the pain caused by the backpack behind him, which weighed over 30 kilograms and made him feel as if someone had tied a rope around his body and was pulling it hard backwards.
Every step, Chen Yang had to make a great effort, his fingers were already pale white, and his calf was trembling because the soles of his feet couldn't fully touch the stone surface.
However, at a distance of only ten to twenty meters, the little Li on the cliff top could no longer see Chen Yang due to the angle. His eyes were wide open and his expression was anxious as he stared down at the cliff. He knew very well that Chen Yang had already started climbing, and if he couldn't make it up, the result would be falling off. With such a heavy backpack, it was impossible to return halfway.
After an unknown period of time, Little Li finally cracked a smile as Chen Yang crawled up, looking disheveled. Ignoring Chen Yang's pale face, Little Li turned around and walked along the mountain ridge. Chen Yang was now too exhausted to even curse, and he resentfully raised his middle finger at Little Li's back.
Xiao Li's figure was already out of sight, Chen Yang finally got up and chased after him, but at this time, a situation that was more unbearable than climbing the mountain cliff appeared. Alas, it really proved the old saying, going up the mountain is easy, coming down is difficult.
The backpack behind him now somewhat resembles a rocket booster, Chen Yang thought to control his speed, one word, difficult. And that backpack's thrust, plus he still had to dodge some rocks on the mountain, avoid some places where he couldn't set foot, and then control his body's balance. Every step he took, his feet would do a piston motion in his shoes, originally fitting shoes now seemed to have increased two sizes, his toes fiercely pressing against the inside of the shoe, once, twice, three times, scorching pain shot from his toes straight to his brain...
Mechanically trudging along, Chen Yang finally made it through the long and arduous journey down the mountain. However, his nightmare was far from over. The narrow mountain path that he could barely see earlier had vanished, and in its place was a small river winding its way around the mountain. Xiao Li, on the other hand, was lounging on her backpack on the opposite bank of the river, dozing off with an air of nonchalance.
Glaring at Little Li with a scowl, Chen Yang began to size up the small river. The width of the river was about ten or so meters, and on the side closer to the mountain wall, it was only about three to five meters wide. However, there was a problem - although the water near the mountain wall was indeed very narrow, the current was very rapid, and the water was very deep.
After some thought, Chen Yang shouldered his backpack and headed towards the upstream where the water flow was stable. He looked at the clear river water and smiled. Although it wasn't too cold for a nearly ten-month-old weather, Chen Yang still encountered trouble while crossing the river - there were many muddy sediments in the stable water area...
When he appeared in front of Little Li, Little Li smiled: "Little boy, where are your shoes?" Chen Yang's face turned black: "One was snatched away by the river god." Then the following scene became interesting. With a relaxed face, Little Li seemed to be strolling and playing in the water, lightly swaying branches with green leaves in front of him. Behind him was the disheveled Chen Yang, who looked like a penguin wearing military uniform from afar...
They walked through a small grove of trees, and Li and Chen Yang stepped onto a long, weedy road. But Li's smile and Chen Yang's painful expression both disappeared. Because in front of them was Liu Tuanzhang with an angry face.
"Bastards! You two mongrels! Who the hell told you to go there!"
