Insufficient balance
The UN peacekeeping hospital in Beirut. Many world-renowned doctors from various departments gather here, most of whom are volunteer doctors dispatched by the United Nations, and some are medical teams composed of doctors sent by the peacekeeping forces of various countries. The level of medical care and equipment is among the best in the world, and it can be said that it is a platform for medical professionals and medical technology from all over the world to compete with each other. In addition to serving the officers and soldiers of the peacekeeping force, these medical personnel also use donations from various charitable organizations to provide services to local residents and refugees, and are highly praised by the Lebanese people.
When Bao Yulin came out of the Garrison Command, he was anxious to rush to the hospital. Just now at the Garrison Command, he had already reported the situation to General Mark, the highest commander of the French peacekeeping force in Lebanon, and also explained the situation to the direct leader of the 29th Action Bureau of the French Intelligence Agency. His superiors instructed him to quickly investigate the casualties and write a report. The intelligence department will immediately send someone to Beirut to analyze the specific situation.
"Captain, I have been ordered to take you to the hospital, please get in." Just out of the gate of the gendarmerie headquarters, a French army sergeant stopped a jeep in front of Bao Yulin.
"Thank you!" Bao Yulin jumped onto the car at once, and at this moment, he didn't want to say anything more.
It also helped that we had the UN peacekeeping force sign on our vehicle and were wearing French military uniforms. There were many roadblocks along the way, but they just did a simple check before letting us pass. After all, France has the largest number of troops stationed in Lebanon and participating in peacekeeping operations after the US. Many of the roadblocks were manned by French peacekeeping forces.
As they approached the hospital, Bao Yulin found that the atmosphere here was particularly tense, with ambulances coming and going constantly. Obviously, it was not just the French peacekeeping force's club that had been attacked.
"Are there any other places being attacked?" asked Bao Yulin to the American soldier who was checking his documents.
"I heard that apart from our US military club and your French military club, several other places were also attacked by car bombs at the same time, with many casualties. These people are really desperate." The American soldier said with a lingering fear. He handed back Bao Yulin's ID while speaking.
"These lunatics have no idea what they want to do. Do they even know we're helping them?" Bao Yulin took the documents and casually put them in his pocket.
At this moment, a black sedan approached the checkpoint quickly with its horn blaring and warning lights flashing. The tire spikes on the road had just been removed to allow the jeep carrying Bao Yulin and the garrison commander to pass through.
Against the wind, an Arab man driving a car stuck his head out of the window and waved his hands continuously, shouting something loudly.
The whole day, everyone's nerves were stretched tight by the Arabs' car bombs. At this moment, a speeding sedan suddenly appeared, making the American soldiers tense to the point of unbearable. The American soldier on the roadblock immediately pulled open the bolt of his M16.
"Halt!" The American soldier yelled, his gun pointing at the approaching sedan.
Seeing the situation was not right, the military police reacted quickly and kicked the oil to leave the roadblock. Bao Yulin subconsciously felt that the black sedan shouldn't have any problems. It should be an urgent matter if it's driven so fast, otherwise the driver wouldn't be so reckless.
The sedan did not slow down, and as it got closer and closer, the American soldiers opened fire.
A gunshot rang out, and everyone scrambled to take cover. The gendarmes accelerated their vehicle even more. Bao Yulin also curled up his body to avoid possible injury.
The jeep stopped in front of the hospital building. The bloody scene that might have happened did not repeat itself. The sedan stopped in front of the checkpoint, an Arab man got out with his hands on his head, trembling as he accepted the inspection by American soldiers.
Bao Yulin sighed at the sight. Such a situation can be seen almost every day in Lebanon, and no one dares to say that they are absolutely safe, saying that disaster may strike at any time.
The military police quickly drove away. Today's events made him feel the danger too, and maybe returning to the barracks would give him a greater sense of security.

Bao Yulin saw the "ostrich" outside the operating room. A bandage was wrapped around his head, and nothing else seemed out of place.
"Sir!" Seeing Bao Yulin coming over, "Ostrich" hastily stood up and saluted.
"Stop saluting!" Bao Yulin grabbed the ostrich's hand: "How are our people?" This was what he cared about most at the moment.
"The ostrich" was originally a slick person, usually speaking in a smooth tone, but at this time, after hearing Bao Yulin's question, his face changed and he suddenly squatted on the ground and started crying.
"Senior Officer 'Ostrich', I order you, answer my question immediately!" Looking at the appearance of "Ostrich", Bao Yulin felt a chill in his heart, he knew that things might be worse than he had expected. But as an officer, he must clarify the situation of his subordinate at the first time.
"Boss, 'Hound Dog' and 'Tuna' were sitting on the outermost side at that time, and the car exploded just behind them not far away......" "Ostrich" did not stand up, nor even raised his head, sniffing his nose and said.
"What about the others? How are they?" Bao Yulin anxiously shook the ostrich's shoulder.
"I... I'm not quite clear, but they're all injured. 'Bald Eagle's' eyes are blind, 'Sparrow's' leg is broken. 'Dog Bear'... 'Dog Bear' is inside now, he was stabbed in the stomach by a piece of wood, don't know how he is now. As for others, I'm not clear." Everyone can choose their own code name from several candidate lists. "Ostrich" chose his own code name, which according to him means the largest bird species. But everyone else interprets it as when encountering danger, they will hide their heads. He was like that now, a 1.9-meter tall strong man, squatting on the ground, holding his head in his hands and crying uncontrollably.
"My god!" Bao Yulin sat down on a chair at one side, the 29th Action Bureau's unit in Lebanon was just his small team of over 10 people. Now, almost all of his teammates had been lost. These people also had their share of conflicts and fights during peacetime, but everyone knew that no matter what happened during peacetime, once on the battlefield, the brother behind you was the most trustworthy person. Similarly, you would also use all your sincerity to protect your comrades, because only in this way could you survive under the worst conditions.

Bao Yulin has been staying in the hospital all along. He doesn't know where to go. All his teammates are here.
It's been over two years since I arrived in Lebanon, and our team led by Bao Yulin has completed countless dangerous missions with the lowest casualty rate. We've been ambushed by guerrilla forces, trapped in enemy traps, and even spent three days and nights tracking down a notorious drug lord until he was exhausted. In one operation to crack down on arms smuggling, we used light weapons to counter dozens of heavily armed smugglers, but ultimately emerged victorious. After so many missions, the worst outcome was only two people being seriously injured. Why? It wasn't because of good luck, but because our team was united and had each other's backs. No matter what, you only needed to focus on your direction, and your teammates would cover your other sides. That's why Bao Yulin's team became the envy of the entire 29th Action Bureau. But now... during a holiday, in what should have been the safest military camp, in a club meant for relaxation and enjoyment... just one car bomb. And my team was gone.
Colonel Hendry arrived in Beirut immediately after receiving the news that "Chameleon" squad of Lebanon's 29th Action Bureau had an accident. When he rushed to the hospital, "Chameleon" and several members of his squad who could stand were waiting outside the operating room. The operation on "Grizzly" had already lasted for six hours, but the lights in the operating room were still on.
"Chameleon", I have been ordered to take your team back to France for debriefing and treatment, now bring the men back to camp to gather their gear," Colonel Henri commanded.
"Colonel, we want to wait until 'Dog Bear' comes out and then leave together," said Bao Yulin with a pleading tone. The others also looked at Colonel Henry with eager eyes, wanting to know the news about "Dog Bear" as soon as possible.
"But..." Colonel Henry wanted to say something, but seeing the expressions of the "Chameleon" squad members, he didn't speak. He was an old soldier and understood this kind of emotion in soldiers very well.

Three hours later, Colonel Henri and Bao Yulin as well as his "Chameleon" team, dressed in military uniforms, accompanied by three coffins carried by French maintenance troops, boarded the plane flying back to France with a bugle playing taps.
All the way, no one spoke. But everyone was constantly narrating their sorrows in their hearts to "Doggie", "Tuna" and "Hunting Dog" who were lying in the coffin, recalling every moment they spent together. Unfortunately, such days will never come back again.
。。。。。。
The next day, Bao Yulin attended the funeral of "Dog Bear" and others. As the sound of the mourning drum gradually subsided, only Bao Yulin was left standing in front of the three new graves. No one disturbed him, nor did anyone want to disturb him. Everyone knew how difficult it was to bid farewell forever to comrades with whom they had lived together for more than two years.

Half a month later, Lieutenant Bao Yulin formally reported to the 29th Operations Bureau of the French Intelligence Agency for training. He no longer needed to use the code name "Chameleon", and Lieutenant Bao Yulin, who was in charge of special operations instructors and sniper instructors at the base, officially resumed using his real name.
According to custom, Bao Yulin should have returned to Lebanon after a period of psychological comfort and normal review in France, after all, he was more familiar with the local situation. However, the troops reviewed his service record and found that since he enlisted, he had never taken a vacation, accumulating nearly half a year's worth of leave. Calculated this way, Bao Yulin's enlistment contract would expire in over half a year. The Ministry of Land Forces then asked Bao Yulin himself if he was willing to renew his contract. Bao Yulin expressed that he needed to rest and adjust. The Ministry of Land Forces considered Bao Yulin an excellent basic commander with rich experience in special operations and sniper warfare, and decided to transfer him to a training base to use his experience to train new students for the 29th Action Bureau. Lebanon would send another team instead.
Actually, everyone didn't know that Bao Yulin doesn't need any time to adjust. He was waiting, waiting for a letter from China. Only this letter can decide his fate and decide his future.
