Chapter 17 Invasion

  Chapter Seventeen: Invasion

I originally planned not to write tonight and take a rest, playing some games instead. But... when I replayed Red Alert 3 and saw the opening animation, my writing passion was once again triggered...

This chapter has some boring parts...

Bosch was jumping around restlessly, barking in a high-pitched voice, and Andreyev knew that something was wrong. "This is not normal," he thought to himself, remembering the avalanche that had occurred thirty-five years ago near his home, burying several skiers from Smolensk under thousands of feet of snow. At that time, the neighbor's dog had behaved in the same way as Bosch now, scratching its owner with its front paws. Andreyev patted his dog to calm it down, but Bosch didn't stop, its gray eyes conveying fear. This was on the coast of Vladivostok, right by the sea, and there was no reason for it to be so tense.

Andreyev had been taking Pochi to this coastline every day, and except for the first time when the big waves made the dog a bit timid, in two months, Pochi had gotten used to the sometimes calm and sometimes turbulent sea water, and could even quietly appreciate the tides with its owner. He was curious, there were no snowy mountains nearby, nor would there be earthquakes or tsunamis, but it wasn't the season for tsunamis anyway. The old man looked at the still sunny weather and thought about giving his old friend a drink from the half-bottle of vodka in the cloth bag, but then suddenly the rumbling and shaking made him dismiss all thoughts. The birds around were flying away quickly, as if the calmness earlier had never happened.

Taking advantage of the direction of the sunlight, Andreev saw a blurry object approaching him and was very curious what it was, ignoring Pochi's barking. Until some flying objects that looked like aircraft soared through the sky above his head from the bottom of the sea, the old man finally saw the true face of these huge objects: a whole fleet, but this was obviously not Soviet.

Everything that happened next confirmed Andreyev's guess: several beams of light from the warship hit the opposite bank, and several heavy warships turned their sides, showing off the power of their weapons with triple-barreled giant ship guns; explosions began to erupt one after another, including a weapon that fell about 1 mile away from him. The old man came back to his senses from shock, grabbed the thick rope tied to Pochi's neck and ran wildly back and forth. His ears gradually became noisy, hearing what sounded like vehicles exploding, hearing countless people shouting, hearing mixed screams, hearing various light and heavy weapons roaring, hearing the strange sound of flying machines firing, even hearing horses neighing - this place had a cavalry unit years ago. At this moment, Andreyev did not have time to consider where these ships came from or why this peaceful place was attacked after many years, he looked up at the constantly exploding pine branches and silently prayed to God not to let him die unknowingly...

The battalion commander, Pidtyev, died because a laser beam hit the barracks while he was still asleep; and with him, unfortunately, were his wife, Ivan Ivankovich, and 13 other people. But Andrei Ivanov didn't have time to collect their bodies or pray for the dead like a priest. Disaster struck when he was on his way back to the barracks. At that moment, he had to pick up someone's ADK-45 automatic rifle and run towards the "Cow Frog" anti-aircraft infantry fighting vehicle with a large group of people. These soldiers, who were suddenly awakened, were clearly unprepared for the sudden attack, and there were many people who hadn't tied their shoelaces or put on their pants correctly. Andrei even saw a guy putting one leg into his pants while grabbing a shoe to put on his foot, then - the house behind him was blown to dust.

"The Bull Frog" seemed to be in high demand, as vehicles speeding out of the garage would open their doors and pull in running soldiers before careening towards the coast. Andrei barely managed to sprint up to an APC when a large hand reached out from inside and yanked him in. "Come on in, buddy - slow down! Slow down! This isn't a public bus, comrades!" The driver, Valeri Smirnov, called out as he welcomed the incoming soldiers before slamming the door shut. "Check your gear! Once we hit the beach, the guys driving will blast you all out! Don't tell me you didn't bring parachutes!" As he caught Andrei staring at him, his facial muscles began to relax outward. "Andrei, you've always had memory problems. We were just drinking together two days ago."

"You always surprise me." Andrei patted his broad chest, "That wine was good, and the caviar too. When can we get some more?"

"When? I also want to know. But those damned yellow monkeys are coming to rob us of our vodka and caviar!"

"Yellow monkeys? Are you referring to those Chinese people?"

"I told you your memory is bad - this time it seems like those damned neighbors of ours, a bunch of Japanese monkeys."

"And it's still those yellow monkeys! God! Why are they attacking us?"

"It's currently unknown. But I guess this group of monkeys found that their cage was too small and all ran out."

"The great Soviet Motherland will destroy them!" Andrei exclaimed excitedly to Valeri. "I believe!"

Valery frowned, noticing that Andrei's loud words had a leading effect, and immediately the excited slogans echoed throughout the car. "Long live our great Motherland!" "In Lenin's name, destroy these monkeys!" "For the Soviet advance!" The soldiers seemed to have lost their previous panic.

  "I say, you——"

"Comrade Senior Lieutenant! Andrei Ivanov, Senior Lieutenant! Japanese planes!"

"Tell Sjtsjenko to hurry up! Bofman, open fire and give them a good thrashing!" Valeri shouted upwards.

"Our hands are not enough for Captain Comrade..."

"Alright, I'm going. You keep an eye on them! Damn monkeys!"

Andrei gazed at Valeri bending down towards the machine gunner's position and shouted to him: "For our caviar!"

And all he got was the whistle of this burly man.

  。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。

"——Halt!!" Shiro Emiya's loud roar echoed, as he held the radiant blade and swung it down from above, instantly beheading the stunned mobilized soldier in front of him. Along with the soldier's head, the rifle in his hand also fell to the ground, now broken into two pieces. Scorching hot blood splattered onto Shiro Emiya's face, and he smiled faintly, revealing his white teeth. He let out a menacing laugh, like a demon.

The blood on his face was still unwiped, Shirou Emiya continued his frantic battle intent, holding twin swords, and charged once more into the beach below! Below him lay the battlefield! And it was a purgatory!

Countless brave and fearless Imperial warriors abandoned their powerful kinetic carbines, instead grabbing the high-energy warrior swords hanging from their sides, and engaging in fierce combat with the equally brave and fearless Red Army soldiers in front of them. Although the alloy armor on their chests could effectively block the lethal bullets, many warriors still fell to the ground, and the brave Imperial warriors successfully broke through the Red Army's firepower network, engaging in a life-and-death struggle with the Red Army soldiers hiding behind cover. In the cramped space of the bunker, the three-edged bayonet mounted on the ADK-45 was not as effective as the warrior sword wielded by the warriors, and this high-energy modern warrior sword could easily cut through the enemy's armor, even the steel armor worn by the Magnetic Stormtroopers was no exception!

Soon, the well-equipped and well-trained Imperial warriors quickly broke through the first line of defense hastily formed by the Red Army soldiers and rushed towards the second line of defense of the Red Army.

But at this time, the imperial warriors were no longer fighting alone. The armored troops behind them had arrived.

A uniquely shaped tsunami tank transforms its body rapidly in an instant before arriving at the beach.

Clank clank clank! The mechanical roar, the strange transformation of the gunboat's hull.

In the blink of an eye, what was originally a mysterious gunboat rushing towards the shore like a tsunami suddenly turned into a powerful tank. With a loud rumble, its tracks slid forward, driving past in front.

At the same time, enemy armed helicopters flying at high speed in the rear also came over, and the rocket launchers suspended under the fuselage emitted a fierce flame. In an instant, countless rockets flew towards the seemingly impregnable bunker below, and in the blink of an eye, the bunker was blown to ruins in a loud explosion. And the people inside naturally turned into fleeing human torches in the blast.

"Quick, quick!" Sakikov, the head of the Sevastopol military port guard, shouted to his subordinates while sweating: "Get the Ka-52 helicopters and MiG fighters up there! Take down those damned things!" Soon, the Ka-52 helicopter squadron inside the military port roared towards the beach, and the MiG fighters quickly entered combat readiness, rapidly engaging in a dogfight with the incoming jet fighters. Sakikov thought he could catch his breath, but what happened next left him agape.

The enemy helicopter, which was still mercilessly slaughtering the infantry and bunkers below, shook violently before rapidly descending from an altitude of 200 meters. At the same time, its tail section transformed into a pair of legs for walking. Sakikov confirmed that his eyesight was fine, but he was shocked to discover that his own air unit had been shot down by those walking helicopters?

It was indeed shot down. The hive-guided rocket that was originally hung under the fuselage somehow switched to the head of the fuselage, and with a turn of its head, those infantry mechs launched missiles from their heads, which instantly hit the twin-blade helicopter and MiG fighter that had lost their targets in the chaos. In a burst of dazzling flames, they were reduced to "fireworks" made up of limbs and parts.

This thing is called the Vx striker! It's an excellent armed helicopter, personally designed and promoted by Tenchi Genjiro, the general manager of the Akatsuki Empire's Nishi Zaibatsu. It can fire powerful anti-tank rockets at ground targets, and after transforming, it can also launch surface-to-air missiles into the sky. The rocket with precise guidance device is a death god for any air target.

Having lost the cover of air power, the imperial warriors who were originally fierce on the ground suddenly rose again. Shouting in their mouths: "Tian Na Hei Ka, half load! Half load!" Rushing towards the enemy's position in front. At the same time, because the enemies in the sky had been basically cleared, those jet fighters circling in the sky also descended at an astonishing speed, and when they fell to a certain height, the nozzle of the foot suddenly sprayed out strong airflow downwards, under the strong reaction force, the jet fighter that had fallen sharply from 500 meters high was standing steadily on the ground. At the same time, what was shown to the world this time was no longer the original appearance of the fighter plane, but a kind of ape-like appearance.

It fired high-energy bullets from its shoulders, brutally tearing through the bodies of infantry in front of it, providing a clear path for its own infantry. This machine was called - Tian Gou Mech! Even an excellent air superiority fighter, when transformed, became a terrifying land warfare machine! Although its thermal warhead wasn't much against armored targets, it was a disaster for the Red Army infantry who lacked effective defense.

From the surface of the sea, a number of diamond-shaped aircraft quickly arrived above the Red Army's position. As the pilot of one of these aircraft, Sakurai Chikatsu glanced at the altimeter: 30 feet above ground level was no problem for viewing any scenery. This troublemaker had another urge to perform. "I love adventure." The pilot activated the glider button on the upper left side of the electronic instrument panel and prepared to accelerate after flipping the aircraft several times, not caring if there were any spectators.

The source of Sakura's pride is its seaplane. This thing that can fly freely and dive into the water in a parabolic curve is also the pride of the empire. The diamond-shaped streamlined fuselage design reduces air and water resistance to almost negligible levels, and the new turbojet engine allows it to move freely at any angle within 3 Mach, the 30mm transmission laser cannon carried on the belly can quickly strike targets within 20 square feet, although it has no defense against threats from the sky during flight, but with its excellent acceleration ability and unique weapon configuration, it can safely leave the battlefield and turn defeat into victory. Pilots flying this aircraft are told: there is a set of 2-mounted underwater-to-air missiles installed on top of the aircraft, which can be used to shoot down enemy aircraft when encountered, by diving into the sea and then using these things to shoot them down. In this era, the "Sea Wing" aircraft is an unimaginable invention, and with its advanced aerodynamic layout and avant-garde shape, it would not be questioned if it were called an alien spaceship.

  Found the target!

Sakurauchi Chizuru, who had been lazily circling in the air, quickly pushed down on the control stick. The aircraft shook violently before diving downwards with a loud roar. Sinful bullets were fired at the panicked people below. Blood, wails, and severed limbs became the main theme of this hellish symphony.

The first line of defense has been breached!

The second line of defense has been breached!

The third line of defense has been breached!

  。。。

In almost the time it took to eat a meal, Nikolai Moskvin's proud field defenses were breached by this sudden enemy appearance! The enemy's offensive was like a flood, and everything that stood in their way would be overwhelmed by their frantic attack.

Looking at the intelligence sent by his subordinates, all of which indicated that control over the battlefield was weakening. It is estimated that in another 30 minutes, even Moskvin's combat command center will be taken down by the enemy.

Mo Wen stood on the dock with a look of distress, staring blankly at the vast expanse of the sea.

At this moment, Mo Wen's mood was as cold as the sea breeze. It was icy and almost numb to his heart.

The entire Vladivostok naval base's east and north sides can already faintly hear the rumble of cannons, this army's vanguard should be about to break into the core of the naval base. Originally he could have continued to consume the enemy with the magnetic storm coils and various automatic weapons within the base, but unfortunately, someone had destroyed the transmission lines of the power plant inside the base. That is to say, Moskvin's plan for a siege was aborted.

At this moment, Moswen's heart was filled with melancholy and endless regret.

"General, let's hurry," whispered Alex Maxim, the captain of the guard, "or we'll be too late."

Moskvin, however, seemed to have not heard anything and just stared blankly at the vast sea in front of him. But he was not reminiscing about the ancients, but rather about himself. At the beginning of the European campaign, Moskvin had boasted to Chadenko that he would defend Vladivostok to the death, as the commander of the largest port in the Far East. He would live and die with Vladivostok, if the city fell, he would fall too.

Now, Hessenwei has almost been lost, and it seems that Moss should also die for his country.

Moswen suddenly turned his head and said to Alex, "Give me a gun."

"A gun?" Alex and Ah Lun exclaimed in unison, "Comrade Commander, what do you want a gun for?"

"Kill your way back," Mo said coldly. "Follow me and kill your way back to the military port."

Having said that, Mossev turned to Alex beside him and said: "Maxim, immediately tidy up the troops and follow me back"

"Commander," Alex said grimly, "the troops have been completely dispersed and can't be organized in time. The enemy vanguard has already entered the city, if we don't leave now, it will really be too late."

"You can leave if you want," Moskvina said, "but I won't. I'll stay here and share the fate of Sevastopol."

As soon as he finished speaking, Moss turned around and walked away. Alex gave a signal to the two guards beside him, and they quickly rushed forward, lifted Moss up and carried him away. Moss was furious, struggling with all his might while shouting: "Let me go! What do you two bastards want to do? Let me go, Alex! Alex!"

Alex pretended he hadn't heard and dragged Moss into the emergency helicopter.

Just as the helicopter took off, a huge figure rushed towards the airport. The impact was so great that it even knocked down the base's wall. After the smoke dissipated, the true face of the figure was revealed.

A towering figure as tall as a 5-story building, with arms the size of train cars, its dark grey metal body radiating an icy chill that could freeze one's soul in the scorching sunlight. And then there was...

  Blood-red eyes!

A crimson light that can cut through everything!!

  Buzzing

A red light flashed by, narrowly brushing past the side of the helicopter and directly sweeping onto the Soviet national flag pole in front of the airport. The tall flagpole was cut off at the waist amidst a chilling sound of metal melting and crashed to the ground.

Alex and Moss looked down at the frightening scene, their backs were covered in cold sweat. This kind of weapon... is too scary!!!

The gigantic mechanical man, with blood-red eyes, stared at the helicopter carrying Morse's text as if unwilling to let its prey escape. Then, as if venting its anger, it began destroying everything around the airport. With each step, a loud crash echoed, and a small crater appeared on the ground. Anything that accidentally got trampled would be turned into a meat pie. When encountering an insurmountable obstacle, it would raise its arms and violently collide with it.

There is nothing that can stop him, there is nothing that can match him, and there is nothing that can stand tall in front of him.

  His name is called ——

  Ghost King Mech!!!!

The Empire of Rising Sun is the strongest, even the strongest in the world! None can compare!

On August 6, 1965, in the early morning hours, the Empire of Rising Sun formally invaded the Soviet Far East. Thus began World War II.
