Chapter 12: Undercurrents

  Chapter Twelve: Undercurrents

Night fell, a fully armed Soviet transport convoy was speeding along Highway 28. The lead consisted of two Kugelblitz anti-aircraft vehicles, followed by four spider-shaped infantry fighting vehicles called "Sickle Armor". Behind them was a logistics convoy consisting of five military large trucks loaded with various military supplies, including ammunition, artillery shells, repair equipment, and even an expensive radar positioning instrument in the last truck. Bringing up the rear were two Iron Fist tanks and two mixed infantry squads as the final defensive line. The entire convoy now resembled a long dragon, standing out starkly in the dark night.

"These damned German devils..." Haig muttered under his breath as the transport team leader. "They never let us have a peaceful moment..."

To be honest, Haig is really annoying. Really annoying.

He has been the captain of this transport team for almost 10 years. At first, he was a novice who didn't even know where the accelerator was. However, after countless emergency transportation experiences in the war zone, he quickly and effectively transformed into a qualified transporter. Now, he can even cover his eyes and tell you the origin and purpose of any part on the vehicle.

Hai Ge touched the two red stripes on his shoulder, which was the honor he had worked hard for in the past 10 years. It was his most proud self-esteem!

Although there have been rumors circulating among the transportation teams that: 'It is said that the Allied forces' current focus of attack is no longer the Red Army's positions and commanders, but rather the Red Army's most important yet fragile transportation lines!' It is reported that there have already been at least 8 military attacks specifically targeting transportation convoys within the Red Army.

"These damned Allies... If I were on the battlefield, I would strangle them one by one..."

Hai Ge gritted his teeth and said.

For these hidden enemies in the dark, there is still a deep-seated hatred. Because when he was still a novice transport team leader, his most respected and beloved old team leader died on the transportation highway in an intentional ambush by the Allied forces.

Now I am about to inherit his mantle, silently dedicating my own strength to the great liberation cause of the Red Army! Even if it means sacrificing my life for this, because even in death, I must deliver supplies to the front line!!

Just as Haige was making psychological hints to himself again, 'Boom---' a burst of dazzling sparks flashed in front of him.

The two ox carts in front that were used to clear the road suddenly exploded violently, and the impact of the explosion even flipped over the scythe-wielding mecha that was moving at a steady speed behind them into the roadside ditch.

Before everyone in the convoy could react, countless lights suddenly appeared in the originally empty and quiet straw stacks on both sides of the road.

Countless sharp swords pierced the chaotic transportation fleet on the road.

Among the lights, a tank with a distinctly different shape from any current model stood out. The tank didn't even have a basic cannon barrel, and on top of the vehicle, something resembling a searchlight was erected. The entire body of the tank emitted a colorful glow in the dark environment, similar to a rainbow. (Now you know what this tank is, right?)

Order the driver to lift the optical fog, Lieutenant Akado holds a blood-colored banner with ten thousand words, pointing straight ahead.

"Forward march, gentlemen! Our victory, our Führer is watching us!! Long live Germany!!"

"Hurrah!!!’ The communicators were filled with the Nazi undead's frantic roars. 200 Tiger King tank drivers stepped on the gas pedal, and in an instant they accelerated, looking like a pack of wolves preying on humans."

The Tiger tank, designed by the Strauss company and manufactured by native processing, let out a low growl, like thunder drums shaking towards the Red Army soldiers who were trembling with fear.

  ................................

  Bang!

Oleg slammed his fist onto the desktop, and the force transmitted from his fist to the desktop ruthlessly knocked over the exquisite coffee cup that was originally placed on it. With a loud crash, it shattered into pieces on the concrete floor.

"This is already the ninth time...... Comrades..." Oleg said in a low voice to his subordinates.

"The first time was on Highway 23, the second time was on Interstate 17, and the third time was within 10 kilometers of our military camp on Section 22..." Oleg's tone became increasingly heavy as he spoke.

"Who can tell me... how to kill those damned cockroaches!!!!!!" Oleg suddenly raised his head and loudly asked the crowd of military officers who were bowing their heads in silence: "What should we do! Comrades!"

"How are we supposed to know what to do... We're not those drivers..." Many Red Army officers who were unjustly scolded by General Oleg muttered in their hearts.

General Oleg is now very angry, he's really furious!

The Berlin defense battle is about to open, and the 17th and 18th armies have already entered the final mobilization period before the war. Unexpectedly, such a large-scale rear transportation disturbance event occurred at this time. Once or twice would be fine, but these damned Germans actually come every day!

Two weeks of transportation lines, already exhausted, were once again subjected to the Allies' despicable attack! How can Oleg not be furious? The Red Army, unable to receive effective supplies for a long time, is on the verge of running out of ammunition and food. Now, even ordinary training cannot be conducted with live ammunition, but instead, they are constantly conducting close combat bayonet training with wooden guns. But this is not the most terrifying thing - the most terrifying thing is that the Red Army's medical supplies are almost depleted. This time, the Allies' despicable sneak attack blew up a vehicle loaded with medicine...

He is not fighting for medicine, but for tens of thousands of lives!!

The field hospital of the Red Army, due to lack of supplies, has even started using salt water to clean wounds. This way, they cannot receive effective treatment, and dozens of lives are lost every day due to ineffective treatment.

How can Oleg, who claims to love soldiers like his own sons, not be furious?

But what's comforting is that at least the military camp doesn't lack food for now. Otherwise, if they run out of food and all the soldiers go hungry, leading to a significant decline in combat effectiveness, then the Allied forces would only need to make a slight push, and the seemingly strong defensive line of the Red Army would be easily breached!! Even he himself might become a prisoner of the Allied forces...

Just as Oleg was still worrying, a figure suddenly appeared on the monitor in front of him.

"Hey, Commander, you look troubled?" The person who came was wearing a black leather tight-fitting military uniform, with a beautiful face and a fiery figure. It was none other than the Soviet Chief Intelligence Officer, Dasha Fedorovich.

"What's the matter, Dashka?" Oleg's expression didn't change at all as he spoke to this Soviet flower, his face still burning with anger.

"Hey, that's heartless." Daxia saw Oleg's scrunched up face and pretended to be annoyed, saying "I won't tell you then."

Oleg curled up the corner of his mouth, this woman is beautiful, but she's too arrogant. If you don't follow her tone when talking to her, she'll at least make you beg for that information for a few hours... except for major military intelligence, of course. After all, as an intelligence officer, Daxia still has the qualifications she should have.

"Alright, I apologize for my rudeness earlier. Tell me, what happened..."

"Alright, considering your sincere apology, I'll tell you..."

Seeing that things were getting serious, Oleg waved his hand at the officers who were still watching the play in the command room, and the latter also consciously exited the command room in an orderly manner.

Putting away the playful face from before, Daxia adjusted his attire and spoke seriously: "Commander, because of being in a stalemate with your German garrison for too long, Chancellor Chadanko has already given you a formal order. The order is for you to officially launch an assault on Berlin at 2 am the day after tomorrow! It's required that you must capture Berlin within 3 days!"

"This is impossible! We still have those accursed Tiger Kings to take down! And our ammunition is almost depleted!" Oleg hastily retorted to Dashya, or rather, Chadenko.

"Berlin is a fortress with all defenses in place. Even if we manage to take Berlin at the cost of our lives, we young soldiers will surely suffer heavy casualties!"

"Don't worry about this, I reckon the supplies sent by Shana should be arriving soon..." Daxia supported her chin with her hand and rolled up her eyes as if making an estimate. Just then, Oleg also seemed to have heard the rumbling sound of the helicopter's rotor blades.

"Report!" The sudden message came from the sentry outside the door. "A twin-rotor helicopter supply unit dispatched by General Shana Akers of Oslo Air Base requests permission to land on the airfield, is it approved?"

"Permission granted!!" Oleg declared at once.

"Yes!!" The signal soldier immediately turned around and ran back.

Looking towards the direction of the communication soldier who was running towards the door, Oleg curled up his mouth: "So what to do with those Tiger tanks... Our army still doesn't have any effective weapons to counter that tank..."

"You can rest assured, the higher-ups have secretly relocated the Apocalypse Tank Battalion stationed in Leipzig to here, and command has been handed back to you. I'm sure you'll be meeting with Commander Fleming soon."

"That's great!!!" Oleg heard Dasha's words and suddenly jumped up from his chair. "I've long wanted to bring in the Revelation tanks, let them fight it out with those damned cockroaches! I don't believe that with the Revelation tank's powerful twin 140mm cannons and 16-layer composite armor, those damned cockroaches can still break through!!"

"Hehe, like this you're even more lovely, aren't you, General Oleg?" Shana teased, deliberately squeezing her chest in front of the excited Oleg.

"Yes, I will definitely let those evil Tiger King tank teams go see their leader..." Oleg said in a low voice. Now that we have the invincible Sky Revelation tank team, with such a powerful force, Oleg's tactics that had been hidden in his heart for a long time can finally be put to use...

"Haha, I wish your tactics will be successful, let's toast."

  "Cheers, haha."

  "Everything for the Soviet Motherland."

  "Yes, everything for Soviet Motherland."
