Volume 1: The Fierce Tiger Goes Down the Mountain Chapter 10: Going Downhill on a Donkey (Part 1)
Islamabad, Faisal Avenue, several off-road vehicles stopped around a two-story house at the same time. A group of young people wearing black suits and sunglasses rushed down from the off-road vehicles and quickly controlled the front door, back door, and windows of the house. A Mercedes-Benz sedan stopped outside the gate of the house. The bodyguard in the passenger seat got out first and opened the car door on the other side while blocking the most dangerous direction.
When Huang Longfei got off the car, he glanced at the Magala Mountain Forest Reserve on the north side of the highway. Three years ago, he donated $15 million to the Pakistan Nature Conservation Fund, part of which was used to restore vegetation in the forest reserve, but more of it went into the pockets of officials. For Huang Longfei, the $15 million had brought him government construction projects worth over $500 million, a profitable deal. As Huang turned around, the curtains on a window on the second floor of the house facing the street moved slightly, which did not escape the attention of the nearby bodyguards.
"Huang Zong, it's been confirmed, there is someone inside, and there are no dangers around. Should we go in first?"
Huang Longfei glared at the overly tense bodyguard. "We're here to visit Mr. Ajali, do you need to be so aggressive? Without my orders, no one is allowed to act rashly, all of you wait outside."
"But..."
Huang Longfei gave the bodyguard a sideways glance, and the bodyguard immediately retreated to one side. Then Huang Longfei glanced at several other bodyguards behind him before stepping up onto the steps and walking to the front door, where he pressed the doorbell. A flurry of panicked footsteps could be heard from inside the house, and after a while, the door was opened a crack, revealing a pair of youthful eyes staring fearfully at Huang Longfei standing outside.
"Excuse me, is this Mr. Ajari's residence?" Huang Longfei spoke in not-so-standard English, fortunately Pakistan's official language was English, which brought a lot of convenience to the communication.
"You are..."
"My surname is Huang, this is my business card." Huang Longfeng pulled out a business card from his pocket and handed it to the young man. "You can tell Mr. Ajali that I have come specifically to visit him about what happened in the north."
The boy nodded and closed the door without even saying goodbye. Then a hurried footsteps sound came from inside the house, as if someone was rushing down the stairs.
"Huang, is this really necessary?" The bodyguard who had slipped behind Huang Longfei when he wasn't paying attention couldn't help but feel a little disgusted. In all these years, he had never seen Huang Longfei humble himself so much to ask someone for something.
"I said we're here to visit the master of this place!" Huang Longfeng turned his head and glanced at the bodyguard, "And we're here to ask for help, not to buy or intimidate anyone."
The bodyguard nodded to show he understood, and tactfully took a step back, but still stayed behind Huang Longfei. His duty was to stay within two meters of Huang Longfei's side at all times, and to block any danger that threatened him.
A few minutes passed, just as Huang Longfei was about to press the doorbell again, the sound of footsteps came from inside the house, and then the door was opened again. This time, the young man removed the safety chain that had been locked on the door.
"Mr. Huang, please come in, only...". The young man's attitude was much more polite now, he glanced at the several bodyguards standing outside, "The master has said that only one bodyguard can enter, so..."
"No problem, everyone else stays outside." Huang Longfei nodded to the bodyguard behind him and followed the young man into the house.
The house was not big, Huang Longfei glanced at the situation in the first floor hall, and then followed the young man to the second floor. The study faced Magala Mountain, because this area was all two or three story villas, from the study you could see the entire Magala Mountain. After entering the study, Huang Longfei's attention did not fall on the green trees of Magala Mountain, but rather fell on the middle-aged man sitting behind the desk. Until Huang Longfei entered the study and the young man went out to close the door, the middle-aged man who looked like he was around fifty years old finally stood up.
"Mr. Huang, I've long admired your reputation!"
"This man spoke in standard Mandarin, Huang Longfei was secretly shocked and smiled, saying: 'Mr. Ajali, nice to meet you!'"
"Please take a seat. I don't know what brings Mr. Huang here from afar, what's the honor of your visit?"
Huang Longfei sat down in the chair with a big smile, and his bodyguard still stood behind him with a thick face. "Mr. Ajali, we are straightforward people who don't speak nonsense. I wonder if Mr. Ajali has heard about what happened in the north?"
"The north? There's always something happening over there, and the newspapers have a lot of reports about it every day. I heard that American bombers just bombed a group of mountain goats as armed personnel yesterday."
This old fox! Huang Longfei smiled in his heart and said calmly: "Then, what about the incident at Zebeck?"
A faint gloomy expression flashed across A Jia's face, and then returned to normal, but this did not escape Huang Longfei's eyes. "I don't know what Mr. Huang is referring to."
"Mr. Ajari, I know who you are, and likewise, I'm sure you're aware of who I am." Huang Longfei didn't want to drag things out any further; he was here to resolve the issue, not play guessing games. "This time, Huang has come to ask a favor of you."
Ajari made a beckoning gesture.
"Huang hopes that Mr. Ajari can come forward and settle this matter, letting someone or some organization take responsibility for what happened in Zebeck."
Huang Longfei's words stopped there, he didn't continue speaking, but instead carefully observed A Jia Li's changing expression.
Ajari pondered for a moment, rubbing his bald head with his hand twice before turning to Huang Longfei. "So, what benefits can we get?"
When Huang Longfei heard Ajali say that, he knew there was a play because he used "we" instead of "I", which is an obvious signal. "I can use my personal reputation to guarantee that if Mr. Ajali can help me get through this matter, I, Huang, will owe you a favor."
"Is it that simple?" Ajari seemed dissatisfied with this answer.
"Mr. Ajari, I hope you can believe my sincerity. Huang Mou's words are as good as gold, if Mr. Ajari ever needs my help, as long as it doesn't go against the conscience of heaven and earth, Huang Mou will absolutely not refuse!"
Ajali had to seriously consider Huang Longfei's promise, and he was also very clear about Huang Longfei's identity. Two minutes later, Ajali nodded slightly, and a stone in Huang Longfei's heart also fell to the ground. The tenth section of "Meng Huo Goes Down the Mountain" (Part 1)
