Section 5: To Kill or To Save (Part 2)

Volume 1: The Fierce Tiger Leaves Its Leash Chapter 5: To Kill or To Save (Part 2)

Ling Tianxiang quickly caught the falling body and immediately dragged it under the truck. He wouldn't choose to use a handgun unless absolutely necessary. Although the MK23 with a silencer reduced the noise from 169 decibels to 139 decibels, making it easily covered by daytime noise, in the dead of night, in a tense environment, the sound of gunfire was so crisp and clear. This is why most special forces prefer to use knives to take out enemies at close range rather than using handguns.

Next time, I must choose a pistol with a much smaller sound. Ling Tianxiang thought so, while vigilantly paying attention to the situation around him. After about half a minute, confirming that there was no abnormality around him, Ling Tianxiang slowly got up and confirmed again that there was no danger nearby. He looked towards the warehouse direction. The lights in the warehouse were still on, and there was no one standing guard outside. Probably the US military and the mercenaries of "Blackwater" company all thought that no one dared to break into a camp guarded by hundreds of soldiers, so the guards would be so lax.

While waiting for the lights on the tower to move away, Ling Tianxiang checked the status of his pistol and still had 11 bullets left. Even if two shots were used for each person, it was enough to take out five enemies. After the darkness enveloped the warehouse again, Ling Tianxiang quickly rushed out from behind the truck, covering a distance of less than 30 meters in just 5 seconds. When he leaned against the outer wall of the warehouse again, he immediately heard the interrogation sounds coming from inside. Perhaps it was the US military interrogating Wei Daming, so they didn't hear the gunshots outside.

Ling Tianxiang first observed the situation in the warehouse through the gaps in the wall. Within his line of sight, there were six people: Wei Daming, who was tied to a pillar; three burly men wearing tight-fitting vests, clearly mercenaries; and two military doctors leaning against a large wooden crate, chatting in hushed tones. It seemed that the mercenaries were afraid of being interrogated too intensely and killing Wei Daming, so they had the doctors stand guard, ready to provide emergency rescue at any moment.

After confirming the situation, Ling Tianxiang removed all safeties from his pistol and adjusted it to single-action mode. He then closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and confirmed the order in which he would take out the enemy. All of this took less than two seconds, after which Ling Tianxiang held the pistol with both hands, kicked open the door with one foot, and rushed inside quickly.

The first to fall was the mercenary facing the gate, with a .45-caliber bullet hitting him right between the eyebrows. Next was the one standing by the pillar, still holding an interrogation tool in his hand; this time Ling Tianxiang used two bullets, one hitting the man's left chest and the second hitting his throat. The third to fall was the mercenary who had his back to the gate and was turning around, with the bullet entering from the left temple and exiting on the right side of his head, leaving a large hole. The fourth to fall was the military doctor who was looking at Ling Tianxiang, with both bullets hitting him in the left chest. Another military doctor had just turned around to escape when he was hit by a bullet in the back of his heart and fell forward onto the ground. In total, seven bullets were used, and five targets were taken out in less than five seconds.

Ling Tianxiang was also a little surprised at his own reaction speed, he almost completely relied on instinct when firing the gun. When all five enemies fell to the ground, he didn't rush over immediately, but instead continued to aim the muzzle at the bodies lying on the ground, carefully approaching and then using his toes to kick each of the five corpses one by one, while keeping the muzzle pointed at the corners of the warehouse. Ling Tianxiang only glanced at Wei Daming, who was a bit dizzy, and after confirming that all five enemies had been taken out, he first checked every corner of the warehouse to make sure there were no other people inside before putting his pistol back in its holster. It wasn't until then that Ling Tianxiang felt a slight numbness in his wrist, the power of the MK23 was indeed a bit too much, especially for someone with his relatively small build as an Easterner, making it even harder to control.

"Old Wei, wake up, hurry and wake up, I'm Tian Xiang, Old Wei..." Ling Tian Xiang shook Wei Da Ming a few times, then cut off the ropes on Wei Da Ming's body, and helped him sit down on the ground. "Old Wei, Old Wei... I'm Tian Xiang, hurry and wake up."

"Tianxiang, are you Tianxiang?" Wei Daming slowly opened his eyes. "Tianxiang, where are we? No, how did you come here, how did you come here..."

"Old Wei, don't move, I'll help you check the wound." Ling Tianxiang gritted his teeth, and Wei Daming was tortured miserably.

The wounds on his arm and shoulder had not been stitched, it seemed that the mercenaries were using the wound to torture Wei Daming. The bullet was a through-and-through shot, with no large shrapnel left in the body, which was an unfortunate blessing, otherwise the lead bullet head would have remained in the body, causing poisoning and requiring time to remove the bullet head. Apart from the gunshot wounds, there were no obvious injuries on Wei Daming's body, the US military generally did not use torture for interrogation, the most commonly used method was drugs.

"Lao Wei, bear with it for now, I'll help you bandage your wound."

"Tian Xiang, how did you come?" Wei Da Ming was also sobering up a lot at this time. "Was it you who brought people to save me? What about the other brothers?"

"It's just me, the radio is on you, I've already lost contact with the rear." Ling Tianxiang lied, and at the same time he picked up the needle and thread from the tray beside him. "Bear with it, let me help you stitch your wound first."

Wei Daming nodded and didn't ask any more questions. He gritted his teeth and waited for Ling Tianxiang to help him treat his wound.

Two minutes later, Ling Tianxiang helped Wei Daming suture his wound and bandaged it with gauze.

"Can you walk on your own now?"

"It should be okay!" Wei Daming struggled to get up, but his body was still shaking violently.

"You take it, we two brothers will fight our way out together!" Ling Tianxiang handed the M4 carbine to Wei Daming.

"Go kill now?" Wei Daming looked at Ling Tianxiang with some surprise, and almost fell down again.

Ling Tian Xiang took out the remote detonator. "I've made arrangements, after the bomb explodes, the camp will be in chaos, then we'll take advantage of the confusion to escape, I'll go check the situation first, you wait here for me."

Seeing Ling Tianxiang so confident, Wei Daming nodded and took advantage of Ling Tianxiang's departure to pick up a syringe from the tray. After checking the label, he injected it into his left arm and discarded the syringe before Ling Tianxiang returned.

"The American army hasn't found us yet, let's go to the east side of the camp first." Ling Tianxiang noticed the change in Wei Daming's expression, "Old Wei, are you okay?"

"No, I'm fine, but we still have one more thing to do." Wei Daming said as he pulled the safety off his M4.

Ling Tianxiang looked at Wei Daming in surprise, was there something more important than escaping with his life? The Blade of the Tiger, Volume 1, Chapter 5: To Kill or to Save (Part 2)
