Chapter Thirty-Five: Accidentally Entering the Boudoir

  "Big brother, let's run quickly." Ma Fei lowered his head, arched his back and shouted at Li Guoting.

  "Brother, you run first. I'll follow behind." Li Guoting said. He knew he was not familiar with this place at all. Which way to run, how to run, he didn't know. Still had to follow Ma Fei's lead.

  Li Guoting followed Ma Fei, running with a lot of sweat. He asked while running: "Second brother, this won't do, we can't outrun them. I think it's better if we just go upstairs."

The bullet flew past Li Guoting's ear. Li Guoting suddenly felt a burning sensation on the root of his ear, a sharp pain that made him stretch out his hand to touch it, and he found blood.

  "Good grief, that was close. Almost lost my head." Li Guoting said in a low voice, then quickly followed Ma Fei to climb up onto the roof of the opposite house.

  "Quick, quick, those two kids are going up to the rooftop." A policeman had already chased them to the foot of the wall. He saw that they had climbed from a gap in the wall onto the roof and hastily turned around to beckon his fellow officer who was following closely behind.

  "Hurry up and surround this area! Don't let these two escape!" someone shouted.

  The police who came after them suddenly split up and surrounded the residential area where Li Guoting and Ma Fei were fleeing from both sides.

  Soon, another police car with flashing lights drove over from the main street, and many policemen jumped out of the car and surrounded them.

  Ma Fei and Li Guoting dodged east and west, avoiding the bullets flying from behind, crouching down and running forward with difficulty on the rooftops of residential houses. After crossing four or five rows of connected courtyard walls, they arrived at a dimly lit alleyway that separated the streets.

  Two people jumped down from the wall and ran forward along the alley. Just after running for a while, they found that this alley led directly to a big street ahead. At the entrance of the street, several policemen with guns came running over.

  "Trouble, brother. There are also black dogs in front of us." Li Guoting had run to the front of Ma Fei, his eyes were sharp, and as soon as the several policemen holding guns appeared at the entrance of the alley in front of them, he saw them.

  Ma Fei raised his head and saw in front of them. There was a small tree, and one of its horizontal branches stretched into the inside of a tall surrounding wall beside it.

  "Big brother, hurry up, let's climb up that tree in front and then jump into the courtyard from that branch." Ma Fei pointed to the tree in front with his hand and said to Li Guoting.

  "That's where? Don't jump wrongly. Jumped into the official's courtyard, not being caught alive." Li Guoting looked at the tall wall with glass shards on the edge of the tree and said hesitantly.

  These policemen followed their superior and turned a corner into an alleyway, heading towards a large gate on the main street.

  Ma Fei and Li Guoting jumped into the wall and found a garden beside them. The garden was not big, with some rare flowers and grasses planted in it. Looking forward from the garden, they saw a two-story small Western-style building facing away from them.

  The room they jumped into was a very large living room. The living room had a circle of sofas arranged in it. There were no bright lights on.

  "Then let's go outside." Li Guoting stepped lightly and walked with Ma Fei to the living room door.

  Li Guoting walked to the corner and looked out towards the main gate. He found that there was no one at the main gate, so he beckoned to Ma Fei behind him, and the two of them headed towards the stairs.

  They had just walked to the stairs, were about to head towards the gate, when they suddenly saw a man in military uniform appear on the other side of the gate. The man was walking with his head down, heading straight for the gate where they were standing.

  Behind him, the person who walked into the building seemed to have gone upstairs as well.

  Li Guoting didn't have time to think much, and saw the second room next to the stairs on the second floor. The door wasn't closed tightly, revealing a gap, so he quickly walked forward, pushed open the door, and slipped into the room.

  Ma Fei followed closely behind and also entered the room. He turned around and closed the door.
