Chapter 3

  Chapter 3

"Enemy aircraft incoming! Smoke screen interference!" Orders were given by officers at all levels.

With the commander's order, tank after tank spewed out thick infrared smoke screens. Ground infantrymen sprayed aerosols to block the "eyes" of Japanese attacking helicopters.

A Super Cobra helicopter hovered in the distance, its missiles hanging under its short wings like a shark exposing its sharp teeth. Suddenly, flames flashed in the sky, and three millimeter machine guns spat out waves of toxic fire, whipping the ground and kicking up swirling sand and rocks.

Many of the warriors who were laying out camouflage on the ground did not have time to dodge and were shot, torn in two and fell into a pool of blood. The soldiers who were shot, even if they did not die on the spot, had their hands and feet severed by the shells. In an instant, a salty smell of blood wafted through the air.

Under the short wing, the nine-headed bird rocket poured towards the Chinese position, a metal storm of bullets, exploding on the ground into rolling fireballs.

On the ground, infantrymen suffered heavy casualties under attack by Japanese Self-Defense Forces AH-1Z Super Cobra attack helicopters. Fortunately, those Type 05 tanks were saved thanks to smoke screens and camouflage made at the cost of infantrymen's lives.

Suddenly, a fire dragon soared into the sky, accurately hitting a Super Cobra helicopter that was wreaking havoc. The Japanese aircraft instantly turned into a ball of flames and crashed to the ground with a loud "Boom", exploding into smithereens.

Rockets and cannon shells rained down, tearing to pieces the warrior who had brought down a helicopter with a forward-deployed missile.

Watching the rampaging Japanese helicopter, Li Bin's eyes spewed out a vengeful flame of anger, he hated that he couldn't immediately grab the anti-aircraft machine gun and shoot down these damned helicopters.

The original Type 05 tank was supposed to be equipped with anti-helicopter missiles and electromagnetic machine guns that could attack helicopters, but due to the sudden outbreak of this war, before the development of anti-helicopter missiles and electromagnetic machine guns was completed, this newly formed tank was hastily put into battle. In fact, advanced weapons such as the J-14 fighter jet and the Dark Arrow unmanned aerial vehicle had not yet entered mass production when the war broke out.

The Chinese army, which was hastily summoned to fight, was at a disadvantage from the start. Although the "allied forces" did not dare to recklessly bomb deep into the mainland, the situation in the southern gate of the motherland was indeed very unfavorable.

Just as the Japanese military helicopters were running amok, several fire-breathing dragons suddenly jumped out of the ground and charged into the sky, heading straight for those arrogant Japanese attack helicopters.

Just now, the AH-1Z attack helicopter that was crazily sweeping the ground encountered its nemesis. A Super Cobra helicopter turned into a ball of fire in mid-air; immediately after, another helicopter spewing out flames crashed heavily to the ground and exploded into smithereens.

A Red Flag-7 missile shot towards a helicopter that was shaking and trying to escape after firing out decoy flares, turning it into a burning fireball plummeting down.

Subjected to a sudden attack on the ground, the remaining AH-1Z Super Cobras were frightened and fled in all directions.

These are the Red Flag-7 low-altitude anti-aircraft missile vehicles that arrived just in time, and they were immediately put into battle, defeating the crazy attack of the Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force's aviation troops.

US F-16C/D fighter jets swooped down from high altitude, releasing rows of laser-guided bombs that rained down on the ground. Three Red Flag-7 anti-aircraft missile vehicles that failed to evade were blown to smithereens in a blaze of fire. The remaining missile vehicles retreated swiftly into mountain caves behind hills under cover of smoke screens.

Modern warfare, without air superiority is a very troublesome thing. Taking advantage of the time when our heavy firepower was suppressed, the Japanese 90-type tank roared and crushed forward. The Japanese tankers switched to high-explosive grenades, using tank guns and machine guns to shoot poisonous flames at those stubborn Chinese soldiers who were blocking the enemy.

The tenacious infantry warriors, with their astonishing willpower, braved the torrential downpour of artillery shells and bullets, launching fierce gunfire at the Japanese tank troops behind, sending one after another Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force member "to report to Amaterasu ōmikami".

People are constantly being hit and sacrificed, the entire position has been plowed by various shells, aerial bombs, rockets and all kinds of explosives countless times, turning into powdered soil, where a handful of shrapnel can be grabbed at will. Many soldiers were hit by shells and rockets, turning into a flying rain of blood and flesh.

The ground suddenly shot out several FT-2000 anti-radiation missiles, tearing the three US EA-18G Growler electronic warfare aircraft in the sky into pieces. In an instant, a gap was torn open in the American electromagnetic shield. Then, a large number of surface-to-air missiles were fired into the air, and a large number of Chinese fighter jets rushed over from afar.

Both sides were fiercely vying in the air when the ground erupted into another intense tank battle. The Chinese ace armored unit's Type 05 tanks, which had just dodged an attack by a helicopter, charged out again and fired fatal shot after fatal shot at the Japanese Type 90 tanks that were about to overrun our army's position.

"Good hit!" The infantrymen cheered excitedly as Liu Ping's tank destroyed another Type 90 tank.

"I got another one! Bring on the next!" Gunner Lin Zhaohui cocked the firing handle, shooting out a shell. Then he opened the breech cover, ejecting the spent cartridge case with only the base remaining, and the autoloader fed the next armor-piercing round into the barrel.

The Type 95 tank slowly rotated its turret and spat out a vengeful flame. Immediately, another Japanese Type 90 tank was ignited like a torch.

At this moment, a red light flashed suddenly, and an armor-piercing projectile from an unknown source hit a Type 05 tank from the side, only to hear a loud noise, and that Type 05 tank burst into flames.

"Damn it! Where are those Jap tanks hiding?" Liu Ping cursed.

"Locomotive master! Over there! 43 degrees azimuth!" Sharp-eyed Li Bin discovered the place where the red light was flashing, and he hastily reminded the locomotive master.

Along the location provided by driver Li Bin, Liu Ping looked far away through the infrared thermal imager and found that behind these Japanese Type 90 tanks, three of Japan's latest Type 10 tanks were actually hidden!

"Damn it, did that little dog day send the entire Fuji instructional team here? It looks like those devils have invested heavily to take us down this time!" Lin Chaohui, the gunner, roared in anger.

"Take out those Type 10 tanks! We must take them out!" Liu Ping ordered, "The Type 10 tanks pose a great threat to us!"

The Type 10 tank, although also with a caliber of 120mm, is an over-caliber cannon, its power far surpassing the Type 90's 44-caliber cannon. At the same time, this tank has an extremely advanced fire control system, the in-car control panel adopting a liquid crystal display screen, a completely informatized combat mode tank that can launch lethal shells to hit our Type 05 tanks from a distance. However, the defensive capabilities of this Japanese tank are ordinary, at best only comparable to those of the Type 90.

Lin Chaohui rotated the turret, and a long flame spewed out of the barrel. A revenge shell flew out of the barrel, accurately hitting a Type 90 tank two kilometers away.

All that can be seen is a flash of fire in the distance, and the Type 90 tank that was hit immediately catches fire and burns, its cannon barrel powerless and hanging down.

The second Type 97 tank was knocked out by a single shot from a Type 95 Ha-Go tank of Li Bin's friendly neighbor, but the last remaining Type 97 tank proved to be extremely cunning and had an excellent hiding position. The damned tank hid behind a small mound, only exposing its gun barrel when firing. Through data link transmission channels, this Japanese tank did not need to observe personally, it just needed their infantry to report the location to the tank.

"We must get rid of it!" Liu Ping gave a stern order to Li Bin.

The Type 05 tank diesel engine let out a heart-shaking roar and rapidly charged towards the location of that small mound.

"Boom!" Li Bin's tank turret was hit again by a shell from a Type 90 tank, and this time the already damaged inner wall armor peeled off, with arrow-like fragments flying towards them. Commander Liu Ping fell into a pool of blood once more, and gunner Lin Zhaohui was also injured in multiple places.

Gritting his teeth in pain, gunner Lin Zhaohui struggled to load a high-explosive shell into the barrel, then turned the turret and pulled the firing handle, aiming at the mound and firing the high-explosive shell.

A shell whizzed in and landed on the mound, sending up a fireball that engulfed the small mound, which was sent flying into the air amidst the rolling smoke. In an instant, the Type 10 tank hiding behind the mound was exposed to our tank's cannon.

The Japanese tank raised its black muzzle and fired a long-barreled, armor-piercing shell at Li Bin's tank.

Another Type 95 tank hit the Type 10 tank with one shot, turning this blood-stained Japanese tank into a dazzling fireball, and the turret was blown up to the sky and rolled over several times before falling to the ground.

However, the shells fired by the Japanese tanks also hit Li Bin's tank. He only heard a loud "boom" in his ears and felt darkness in front of him before losing consciousness.
