Chapter 69: Life and Death (Part 2)
Powerful hands completely cut off my lungs from the outside world, legs pressed down on my lower body, making it impossible to pull out my gun and dagger. I quickly grabbed his wrists with my hands, trying to pry his hands away from my neck. The lost balance of air pressure made my chest ache, and my vision blurred for an instant.
"I fuck your mother!"
The guy next to Kim Ji-joon cursed and tried to get up to help, but before he could even stand up, the guy who was choking me punched Kim Ji-joon's forehead without hesitation. With a loud "thud", Kim Ji-joon passed out.
As the other person was punching Kim Ji-hoon, I suddenly increased the strength in my hand and the single hand that was gripping my neck loosened its grip a little. Before fresh air could enter my lungs, another punch landed on my face without hesitation. Instantly, it felt like a rock had hit my face, with stars twinkling everywhere before my eyes, and as I relaxed my hands, those two detestable hands gripped my neck again.
In a daze, it seemed like several more people slipped quietly past me. Damn it, they're trying to launch a sneak attack! I've got to remind the captain about them!
The air in my lungs is getting less and less, I gradually feel a wave of suffocation and dizziness coming towards me, not to mention shouting for help!
I had to use all my strength to struggle, clenching my fists and pounding them against the guy's ribs on my body, trying to drive him away from me. The guy on my body grunted a few times, but instead got even more force around my neck, until I was just randomly punching at his body with both hands.
The feeling of suffocation and dizziness grew stronger, I abandoned the weak fist, twisted my body with all my might, trying to shake off the steel-like hands that were clamped on my neck. My gaze floated over my head, and I was stunned! I saw the farmer's body lying upside down on the rock, blood slowly flowing out of the wound, along the neck, the rock, all the way to the snow-covered ground, even still steaming with heat! The white ground was stained red with blood, making it especially eye-catching.
Next to him, a fully armed soldier is pulling out a diamond-filled safe from under his body.
Two lines of hot tears slowly flowed down from the corners of my eyes, the farmer died. I felt life slowly draining out of my body, at this moment, the faces of my parents, friends, and hers swirled in my mind...
Why is it that every time I'm about to die, I always see their figures? I don't want to die!
"Take a good look, haha!" A cold voice came from above, with awkward English and a hoarse tone that sounded particularly ruthless: "Soon you'll be just like him, soon all of you will be just like him! Just like you, slowly watching life slip away in our hands! Damn mercenaries, this is the price for invading our country. I'm going to torture you slowly, I'm going to make you regret coming here!"
He could have snapped my neck instantly, but he didn't. He was letting me savor the taste of death slowly. I turned my head back with difficulty, and a low, muffled sound came from my throat. Finally, I saw the guy who was pressing on me clearly - standard Russian special forces equipment, face painted with camouflage, a pair of gloomy eyes shining with cold-bloodedness, bloodthirstiness, and excitement. His mouth corners were curled up, was he sneering?
A bigger dizziness came, and my last bit of consciousness was slowly leaving my body. I no longer had the strength to attack him, and could only mechanically scratch at his body in a slow motion...
Am I going to die like this? No! Absolutely not! I don't want to die!
I suddenly opened my eyes, and in my heart I was shouting wildly. My family is waiting for me, my friends are waiting for me! The captain and the others still don't know there's an enemy behind them. Uncle Tak's pizza, thousands of dollars on my bank card! Most importantly, I'm still a damn virgin! Finally, my right hand felt a cold object that could be used to stab someone. With all my remaining strength, I pulled it out and stabbed the guy in the neck!
A loud scream, I felt a surge of scorching hot liquid spraying onto my hands and body, while my neck suddenly relaxed. The long-awaited fresh air rushed into my lungs in an instant, and I took a long, deep breath, which was both long and loud. My brain, severely oxygen-deprived, instantly cleared up. Immediately after, my right hand exerted force to pull out the "weapon" from his body, causing even more liquid to spray onto me. Along with the gushing blood, there was also a burst of air pressure from within his body, which emitted a terrifying hissing sound at the wound site, adding to the eerie effect of the blood spraying out. This move was entirely driven by my subconscious, as our instructor had once said that when a dagger-like weapon pierces an opponent, one must twist it further and pull it out with force to create a larger wound and greater damage. I didn't have the strength to twist, so I could only rely on momentum to make that slashing motion.
I pushed away the special forces soldier who was still half-pressing on me and stood up, just in time to see the soldier holding the briefcase. Without hesitation, I swung the "weapon" in my hand at him, and with a dull hum, the briefcase fell to the ground. Looking at the "weapon" tied to that soldier's arm, I couldn't help but laugh - it was actually a black arrow feather! This should count as avenging the farmer, right?!
Almost without thinking, I picked up the SG552 from the ground and fired at the wounded soldier, angering the bullets that quickly knocked him to the ground. My fingers didn't stop, firing all the bullets at the blurry figure in front of me who had no defense against my shots. In the daze, it seemed like two more people fell under my gun.
Gunfire erupted, I dropped the SG552 in my hand, "thud" fell to the ground and fainted, then coughed up blood in a coma.
The long-awaited air seeped into my lungs, slowly nourishing the cells throughout my body. The power of life was slowly returning to my body. I knew, I wouldn't die again!
This timely fainting probably saved my life, I fainted to the ground after being shot, and the enemy in front thought I had lost too much blood or was hit by a stray bullet. Although they wanted to check again and add another bullet, unfortunately, the team leader and others who were rushing forward quickly reacted after hearing the first gunshot. The Russian special forces, whose conspiracy was destroyed, could only reluctantly engage in a head-on confrontation with the team leader and others after losing several men, and had no time to take care of my life or death.
All I can say is that my luck is... super invincible! This mission has left us with heavy casualties, but although I was injured and nearly died several times, I managed to narrowly escape death each time.
Just like this time being ambushed, not only was I not killed, but I miraculously turned the tables and killed several enemies in the end. Moreover, at the last moment, I timely reminded the team leaders who were completely unaware of the situation, which indirectly saved them once. Finally, at the most critical moment, I closed my eyes and thoroughly fainted. This fainting also saved myself once, avoiding a direct confrontation with the enemy who was close at hand and myself who was already on the verge of collapse.
However, the farmer paid with his life for that smile, and my injured companion who was escaping with me.
On this side, only six Russian special forces were left, and the exchange of fire with the captain was quite intense. Thanks to my timely reminder, the Russian special forces did not gain any advantage, but instead, I took out four of them as soon as they appeared. Scorpion also fired twice in a row at the first moment, and two Russian special forces burst into blood flowers on the ground. The captain didn't say a word, and Lima suppressed them by firing continuously. In the intense battle, another Russian soldier was hit by a stray bullet, let out a miserable cry, fell to the ground, lost combat effectiveness, and was dragged behind a rock by his comrades. Scorpion also took advantage of the situation to get up from hiding and move to another location.
The captain of the Russian special forces squad was hiding under a large tree, enduring the flying debris and wood chips in the sky, his heart was so depressed that he was about to go crazy! Originally a team of ten people, they had launched a sneak attack on the enemy who was completely unaware, but the plan was disrupted by the guy behind them who should have been dead! Seven comrades, except for the one who had lost combat effectiveness and was lying beside him with a painful face, the remaining six were unknown whether they were dead or alive. The strength, tacit understanding, coordination and ubiquitous luck of those guys on the other side were simply unbelievable!
