Chapter Fourteen Join (One)

I lay on the bed for a while, feeling bored and a little hungry. I casually picked up someone's clothes from the bed and put them on, then carefully got up.
I saw a switch on the bedside, so I pressed it down. The lights in the room flickered and then all lit up. I squinted my eyes to slowly get used to it, carefully examining this room. It looks very spacious, probably some kind of underground room or something. Next to it is a big bed, opposite is a large table with two laptops and some strange machines on it that they were using earlier. In one corner there's a water dispenser, microwave oven and other things...and a huge pile of trash on the floor.
I walked down the bed and turned back to take a look, my mouth agape in shock. Behind the bed stood four or five iron racks, densely packed with all sorts of weapons. Handguns, rifles, crossbows, daggers, and even several legendary sniper rifles - these metal objects that I had only ever seen on TV left me stunned for half a day. I slowly walked over to take a closer look, one by one, but didn't dare touch any of the guns that were emitting a faint glow in the light.
It was unbelievable, and after another round of tongue-wagging, I realized that I only recognized the M16 and AK-47, those two guns that often appear on screen. Grandma's legs! Ignoring the pain in my left shoulder, I excitedly picked up the AK-47, which is widely used in Asia and around the world and has the most reputation, and felt a chill in my hand. Holding this heavy thing with glee, I posed for several shots, and my fingers involuntarily pulled the trigger.
Several loud bangs, the muzzle jumped violently, several bullets shot onto the wall opposite, splashing up a cloud of dust, followed by the crisp sound of several shell casings falling to the ground.
The dizzying buzzing sound of my head spinning around, the numbness in my hands from the recoil told me that I wasn't dreaming just now!
Wow! So cool!
I couldn't help but let out a loud cry, for the first time having the idea that being a mercenary wouldn't be bad either. I hung the AK-47 on the rack, picked up another rifle with an unknown name, and pressed it against my injured arm, which hurt a bit. I had to reluctantly put it back on the rack, moved to the rack where the handguns were hanging, and picked one up with shining eyes to play with.
The number of weapons on the rack was unprecedented, and I didn't know how long it took to finally play with all the weapons. Unfortunately, standing for too long, the wounds on my shoulders and back ached slightly. I had no choice but to casually pick up a handgun that looked pretty good and slowly lay back in bed.
Looking at the blued finish on the handgun shining under the light, the heavy feeling in my hand when I grip it feels great, wonder what it would feel like if the bullets inside hit someone!
I was startled by my own thoughts.
How could I have such a thought? Could it be true that what they said is right, and the blood flowing through my veins is the most primitive of men's?
Alas... She let out a sigh, and took another look at the handgun of unknown model in her hand. Deep down inside, she really had an inexplicable fondness for it. Maybe it was true what the old saying said - girls love flowers, boys love guns.
I don't know how Lao Niu and Ah Kun are doing now. Tonight, I wonder how many more people will die at the hands of Vegetable Knife and Hei Xiong.
The day before yesterday, I was still in the classroom attending classes honestly, sneaking into the internet cafe to play games and flirt with girls. But today, so many things happened, will my life trajectory change from now on? All of this is like a dream, isn't it? If it's really just a dream, then it's actually a pretty interesting one. But the pain from the wound on my shoulder is so real, it keeps reminding me that this isn't a dream! I'm experiencing the biggest turning point in my life, and I don't know what kind of life my future will be filled with.
Shaking her head, she threw aside the chaotic thoughts in her mind and fell asleep with a dazed expression.
Woke up again, this time completely because of hunger!
Why is the first thing after waking up from injury always hunger? It was like that in the dormitory, and it's still like that here in this unknown place! Hei Xiong and Cai Dao haven't returned yet, and I don't even know what time it is now. I threw away the handgun that was still clutched in my hand, slowly got up and turned around the room, but didn't find a single thing to eat.
Damn it, are these two guys robots that don't need to eat? They're making me suffer along with them.
Helplessly, I walked around the room a few more times, drinking several cups of water in an attempt to temporarily fill my hunger. I sat down at the desk in front of the bed and casually opened the laptop that was on it. The computer screen displayed a logo with a wolf's head. This was the first time I had seen it - the ferocious wolf's head was wearing a dagger that was dripping with blood, its eyes were wide open and red as if they were about to pounce! My heart was racing rapidly along with the image, this logo with such impact thoroughly shocked me.
The Nth shock, the Nth dumbfound.
After a long time, I came back to my senses, sighed, and shook the mouse connected to the computer. A white box and several lines of English appeared on the computer screen. Although my English is terrible, I didn't understand a single sentence, but I guess it was asking for a password or something. I randomly typed a few keys, clicked enter, and a segment of flashing red English appeared on the screen: "Password incorrect!" I tried a few more times in vain, and had no choice but to shut down the computer.
At this time, the door of the room was suddenly opened, and Hei Xiong and Cai Dao walked in with a tired face. Seeing me, he exclaimed, threw himself onto the bed, took a deep breath, and muttered: "Busy all night, finally settled!"
"You... killed them all?"
"Ah!" The black bear said weakly: "Everyone who knew about this has been killed by us, more than thirty! Clean and neat!"
"More than thirty!" I was shocked, jumped up from the stool, and took a sharp breath of cold air: "You killed more than thirty?"
The black bear flipped its body: "Right, if you want to do it, do it cleanly and thoroughly, cut the grass and eliminate the roots, so as not to trouble yourself in the future."
"My goodness! More than thirty! You've also got the guts to do it! Things have been blown up so big, there's definitely going to be huge trouble! Chinese police aren't to be trifled with!"
The kitchen knife smiled and sat up, saying: "To be honest with you, on the first day we entered the country, we were already being watched by China's security bureau. In fact, as long as we don't do anything to harm your country, they won't come looking for us. They must all know about this, and they're eager for us to do it! This way, the entire underworld of this city will be severely damaged. When some organization does something too big and the police have no evidence, this is a common tactic they use. We're just doing them a favor. You won't understand the tacit understanding between us and these governments, so don't worry, we'll handle it."
"Then... am I also being targeted?" Suddenly realizing that he might be targeted by his own country's national security agency, his heart couldn't help but feel a chill, and his voice trembled as he said: "Is this place also under their surveillance? Will they arrest me? Or should we... make a quick escape?"
"Ha ha, I'm afraid your situation has already been thoroughly investigated by them, they even know whether you go to the bathroom at night or not. To be honest with you, our base has long been under their surveillance, and the Chinese Security Bureau is really formidable! However, although we are under their surveillance, they won't take action against us lightly. After all, we are the Wolf Mercenary Corps, NO.1 in the world's mercenary community! As I said before, this subtle relationship is something that ordinary people will never understand in their lifetime."
