A Bloody Case Triggered by a Handgun

A Bloody Case Triggered by a Handgun

A Japanese Army squad guarding a station was a standard reinforced squad with three rifle sections and one light machine gun section equipped with three Type 89 grenade dischargers. Each of the sections had thirteen men, including a section leader, four light machine gunners and eight riflemen. There were four men in each light machine gun crew (commander, gunner, two ammunition bearers), these four being armed with pistols for self-defense, sometimes also carrying rifles during combat (except for the gunner); the remaining eight riflemen had one Type 38 rifle each. Total: fifty-four men.

Li Tie thinks this is a situation where neither side will give in, ever since he saw that handgun.

Now I only have one rifle, a bayonet and four hand grenades. There are many pursuers too. Old Bao has a gun but no bullets, which is equivalent to having none. I need to get some equipment for Old Bao.

It's a good opportunity to go to the train station now, but I don't know where my own troops are. With pursuers behind and unable to transfer to Wangjiagou, we can only go after solving the enemy.

I didn't know Wangjiagou before and had no way to go there. Now I have Lao Bao, so I won't be unable to find Wangjiagou, but I still can't go there.

"Old Bao, we need to deal with these devils and puppet troops, are you afraid?"

"Can we make it? If not, let's run."

Lao Bao apparently doesn't think much of Li Tie's abilities.

"The devils won't give up on getting this gun back, we need to be careful." Li Tie told Old Bao.

"Then let's throw down our guns and run away by ourselves, anyway we don't have any bullets."

"No way, something that's already in hand can't be dropped, besides, it's not necessarily who's unlucky yet?"

Li Tie was confident in himself, and the excitement of having just killed eleven enemies had not yet dissipated.

"It's just a few devils and a group of puppet soldiers. The puppet soldiers might be negligible, but I have 200 bullets here."

Li Tie is encouraging Old Bao.

Two hundred rounds of ammunition, Old Bao took a deep breath, and the entire guerrilla unit he was in had only about twenty rounds of ammunition. This kid alone has two hundred rounds, regular army is indeed regular army, guerrilla units can't compare.

But last year when I went to comfort, I didn't hear that one person could have 200 rounds of ammunition. If so, I would have gotten some earlier and wouldn't be like now, reluctant to use the bullets as if they were treasures.

"Come with me into the mountains and I'll get you some stuff in a bit."

Lao Bao followed him into the mountain with half-belief and half-doubt. The mountain was covered with grass everywhere, and under Li Tie's deliberate disturbance, a faint trace was left where they had just passed. However, Lao Bao didn't notice that one of Li Tie's hand grenades was missing.

Li Tie brought Old Bao, turned a big circle, and then returned to the vicinity.

The devils were in front, the puppet army was behind, they had already crossed that mountain and found the traces left by Li Tie and others. The devils immediately turned back to drive away the puppet army and followed the traces to chase them down.

A group of puppet soldiers went by in a hurry, with the devils following behind. Just then, a loud explosion occurred, and four or five puppet soldiers fell to the ground. Two of them were dead on the spot, while several others were not seriously injured but were crying out in pain.

The pseudo-army immediately lay down collectively as soon as they heard the explosion, while the devils shouted and rushed forward. When they arrived in front, they saw that it was just a hand grenade's pull ring hanging on a blade of grass, which had been stepped on by a pseudo-soldier to cause the explosion, and there were no other mechanisms.

The devils bandaged the wounded soldier and drove the puppet troops away once again.

This time the fake army learned a lesson, everyone carefully watched their own feet, and slowed down a lot.

Murakami's squad leader was anxious like an ant on a hot pot, but there was no way to help it, what if there were more hand grenades?

The devils and puppet troops followed the trail and gradually went far away.

Li Tie and Old Bao slowly made their way towards where the explosion had just occurred.

Three wounded fake soldiers lay under a tree, one was seriously injured and had fainted, the other two, one with a thigh wound and the other with an ankle wound, both were unable to walk.

Li Tie and Lao Bao rushed forward in one swift motion, Li Tie knocked out one of the unlucky ones with a single gun butt, while Lao Bao was not to be outdone, gripping an arm-thick club, he quickly took down another.

The three unlucky eggs still have their weapons, but the two dead soldiers' weapons were taken away.

Li Tie picked up a rifle and threw it to Old Bao, also turning over the bullets on the three men's bodies and giving them to Old Bao, who was delighted as if he had obtained a treasure. So many bullets! The total number of bullets in the entire guerrilla unit is not even equal to mine. I've become rich, really rich.

Four hand grenades were also found, it seems that the equipment of this fake army is a bit poor.

Li Tie hid the remaining two guns and pulled Old Bao away into the mountains.

The devils followed in the footsteps of Li Tie and his men, exhausted to death. Suddenly, one devil discovered that it seemed like a place where an explosion had occurred not long ago. They were shocked and rushed over to take a look. Three wounded soldiers were unconscious, with no weapons left.

  "Eight Trigrams Boxing."

Murakami's squad leader was so angry that he split a small tree in half with one knife.

At this moment, a "bang" was heard, and a fake soldier fell to the ground.

"Kill two birds with one stone."

Murakami squad leader's command knife swung in the direction where the bullet just flew from.

The bullets of the devils and puppet troops whizzed towards that direction.

  Bang!

Another gunshot rang out, and another fake soldier fell to the ground dead. However, the bullet came from the opposite direction of where he had just turned around.

  "What's up?"

  "Kill him!"

Murakami's command knife pointed in another direction, and the enemy's machine gun bullets whizzed past in that direction.

It was bustling for half a day, but no one was found.

"Which direction should we chase in, Your Highness?"

  "Pursuit in this direction".

Murakami pointed behind him at the mountain forest and ordered.

The devils and puppet troops formed a scattered line of soldiers and charged into the mountains.

Actually, Li Tie and Lao Bao's marksmanship is really not worth complimenting. Just now, if the fake army hadn't been standing too densely, they wouldn't have dared to fire their guns either. They themselves know that they've never fired many shots before, so how could their marksmanship be good?

Lao Bao was in the guerrilla team, conditions were poor and there was no way out. Li Tie was in the Eighth Route Army, but the conditions weren't much better either. In these four years, he had fired a total of only a few rounds, and those bullets in his pocket had been rubbed shiny, but he couldn't bear to use them. Don't be fooled by the bulging bullet pouches, they were just for show, inside was actually high millet stalks used to prop up doors, not bullets. Most of the time spent in the army was doing errands for the company commander, and it wasn't easy running around like that. After a few years, he had become as tough as iron.

Li Tie saw the enemy coming in a scattered line, but he was worried about himself. After meeting up with Old Bao, the two of them ran into the mountains again. What else could they do? Let the enemy invite them to be guests? Li Tie didn't have any iron bones or steel tendons. He remembered reading about a protagonist in his past life who had run into an enemy prison and killed off a bunch of high-ranking officers, but he didn't have those skills. Compared to that guy, Li Tie was far inferior - he couldn't even do internal martial arts, let alone make guns or cannons, and he certainly couldn't recruit a master marksman like the Sea Turtle as his underling. The person in front of him now seemed to be some kind of underling, but this underling was really too useless, with shooting skills that were even worse than Li Tie's own, not to mention the Sea Turtle. He probably didn't even know how to write his own name.

Everyone comes from the same world, so why is there such a big gap between people?

Run quickly, boss, the devils are coming, no time for sighs.

No way, I have to take action. It's just a few devils and a hundred or so fake soldiers. I'll use my cleverness and wit to turn this mountain forest into your tomb. Absolutely cannot let the crossers lose face. Crosser seniors, you just watch, humph!

  "Oh no!"

He was lost in thought and didn't watch his step, and suddenly he tripped over a stone.

Flat on the ground, I suddenly thought of a problem, a trap, yes, a trap, I want to let all these devils fall into my trap.

As human civilization has progressed, the forms of warfare have also changed and advanced. In other words, the technology and equipment for large-scale slaughter of fellow humans have become increasingly sophisticated. A beast's attack can kill its opponent with all its might, but a human armed with a sword can kill dozens of people and still have strength to spare. The invention of guns has increased the number of people killed to thousands or tens of thousands, while poison gas and missiles have raised the number to tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands. Nuclear weapons are the "highest level" that has pushed the number of deaths into millions or even tens of millions. Then humans proudly boast about the progress of their civilization, and a group of pedantic scholars (who call themselves experts) write lengthy articles on why humans are different from beasts, lecturing everyone with their theories. But no one dares to say that the reason humans are different from beasts is that humans are more beastly than beasts, which is why there is civilization, and this civilization has come about through mutual slaughter. No one wants to admit that war is a continuation of civilization, and civilization is a sequel to war. The entire history of human civilization should be called the history of war, or perhaps that would be even more fitting.

What would be the effect of using 21st-century tactics against early 20th-century tactics?

Everywhere in the mountain forest is a thicket of grass and branches.

The devils and puppet troops are advancing cautiously.

Suddenly, a devil let out a strange cry, and a branch sprang up, directly hanging one of the devils upside down. At this moment, another branch swept over from the side, sweeping across the devil's neck, bringing out a string of blood beads.

The devil was then inhaling less and exhaling more, and it seemed he wouldn't last much longer.

The ghostly figure crept up to take a look, and found that a thin vine was tightly tied around its leg, but what was fatal was the sharpened tip of the branch at the end.

"Beware of pitfalls underfoot." The fake soldiers reminded each other.

This is just the beginning of a nightmare.

A devil is carefully searching for possible traps, a slight sound, and another devil falls down.

This is a small trap, only the size of a palm, but inside there is a bullet. The primer of the bullet is on top of an iron nail, and it's fixed in place with wooden sticks and tied up tightly with thin vines. As soon as something heavy presses down on it, the bullet will be fired, so unfortunately, this devil won the prize! The bullet went through his foot and also hit his belly. Originally, it wouldn't have been a big deal, but possibly because the bullet head was deformed when it passed through the bone of his foot, after hitting his belly, it messed up all his internal organs. That devil died in a very unjust manner.

As both times were underground pitfalls, the puppet troops became more cautious about the ground.

A fake soldier bowed his head carefully to avoid the traps on the ground, feeling as if he had hit something with his head, but didn't notice it and thought it was a spider web. A loud noise, four or five devils and fake soldiers around him were also caught off guard. A hand grenade hidden in a hanging tree leaf was detonated.

Without even seeing the enemy's face, we've already lost several men, this is so frustrating.

A fake soldier looks tired, there's a good stone under that tree over there, let's take a rest.

"Alright, sir, take a rest." The fake soldier smiled and wiped the stone with his sleeve. He said to Village Chief.

  "Go West!"

Murakami didn't stand on ceremony and plopped himself down.

With a loud "boom", along with Village Head, several of the surrounding fake military devils also fell.

The three hand grenades under the stone are not finished yet.

The rest of the devils and puppet troops saw that it was all over. The captain is also dead, let's withdraw.

The remaining people then retreated with the corpses at a speed several times faster than when they came.

Seeing the devils retreat, Old Bao gave Li Tieqiao a thumbs up.

  "It's done."

Li Tie pretended to be B.

"It's nothing, I'm not afraid of a few more."

  Let's withdraw together then.

Under Lao Bao's guidance, Li Tie and Lao Bao finally found the legendary Wangjiagou.

It's possible, according to the locals, that Lian Chang and his group should have relocated 4 or 5 days ago, but nobody knows where they went.

Four or five days ago, Li Tie was still showing filial piety to his mother-in-law.

  "What's wrong with Li Tie?"

Lao Bao was at a loss, originally thinking of following Li Tie to find the regular army, to bask in Li Tie's glory, and join the Eighth Route Army, but they left, and he didn't get to bask in their glory.

"Can you contact the guerrilla forces upstream?"

  Ability

"Find the guerrilla team first, and talk about it when Commander Lian and the others come back."

At this time, the Eighth Route Army was stationed here today and gone tomorrow, it's really hard to find. Li Tie decided to mix with the guerrilla troops first, fighting the devils wherever they went.

Through the guerrilla's special signal, Li Tie and his men successfully joined forces with the guerrillas.

  "Welcome Comrade Li Tie."

Captain Zhang of the guerrilla squad grasped Li Tie's hand and said with a smile.

Captain Zhang knew Li Tie, after all, they had dealt with each other frequently.

It's a pleasure, three Hanyang-made guns, plus over 100 rounds of ammunition, can double the strength of the guerrilla team.

Captain Zhang's guerrilla team had about thirty people, but only four quick-firing guns, one 38-style rifle, and the rest were either big knives or long spears. As the captain, he also only had a Hanyang-made gun, not even a shotgun, and the whole team's bullets added up to only thirty-seven rounds. The 38-style rifle only had two bullets, and there was no bayonet. After firing those two shots, it would be just a club.

This was completely different from the guerrilla troops Li Tie had seen on TV, where the team leader would have at least one shotgun and bullets were never in short supply, while ordinary soldiers also had a fast gun each, and even hand grenades.

Only when I saw this guerrilla team did I realize how absurd it was. The entire guerrilla team didn't even have a single hand grenade! And to make matters worse, the guerrilla fighters were also struggling to get by from one meal to the next, it's really miserable.

  "Is there anywhere to stay?"

  "Yes, come with us."

He had climbed over one mountain and then another, and Li Tie could no longer remember which number this was. Finally, he followed a winding path and climbed up to a ridge.

This is actually not a mountain ridge. From below it looks like the top of a cliff, but in fact it's a very large flat area - you can only see it after climbing up.

Several villages appeared vaguely in the distance.

"This is our territory, the devils have never known about this place."

This is a forgotten corner by outsiders.

The land can be planted with crops such as corn, sweet potatoes, peanuts and millet. Unfortunately, due to the high mountains and distant water, the arable land is scarce, and the crop yield is not high, only enough to sustain a small number of people's livelihoods.

Li Tie looked around at the base where Captain Zhang and his men lived.

This is an irregularly-shaped mountain top, about 4-5 li east-west and 5-6 li north-south. On the top there is a shallow south-north valley, only several meters deep, with the deepest part being around ten meters. Three sides are cliffs, while the southern side is a relatively steep slope covered in tall trees, with shrubs growing between them. At the foot of the slope lies a river, which is not large and has shallow water.

Li Tie and his men came up from the eastern cliff. This is also the only way for the three cliffs.

Li Tie immediately fell in love with this place.

They arrived at the campsite, which was just a few thatched cottages. Captain Zhang brought out all his valuables to entertain Li Tie.

After dinner, Captain Zhang told Li Tie about the guerrilla troops and the situation nearby.

Not far from the cliff, there were devils and puppet troops activities. In order to keep this place hidden, Captain Zhang and his men never acted around here, which was also the main reason why the devils and puppet troops couldn't find them. Another reason is that this mountain top, viewed from under the cliff, feels very small, too small for people to live in. So the devils didn't come to sweep it either.

There are three villages here, with a total of about 200 households. Very few people go down the mountain, and even if they do, they won't let others know where their home is, trying to keep this secret as much as possible. However, as time goes by, who knows how long this secret can be kept?

Li Tiejun felt he had a duty to do something for this place.

"Captain Zhang, I think this is very unfavorable for our development. If the devils discover this place, we'll be done for. We can't win a fight, and as for running, there's nowhere to escape."

"Comrade Li Tie, what do you think we should do? We'll all listen to you," a team member said.

"Yes, Comrade Li Tie, what do you think we should do."

Captain Zhang also wanted to hear Li Tie's idea.

"Captain, look, we must first arm ourselves and then make full use of the current conditions to build this base into a fortress, making it a sharp knife thrust into the enemy's chest."

"Alright, Comrade Li Tie, whatever you say we'll do. We're all listening to you." Captain Zhang made a guarantee to Li Tie.

First, Li Tie brought people to pick up his mother-in-law and bring her here, in their own base, which is safer than in the enemy-occupied area. Of course, they also took the opportunity to transport the supplies that were hidden in the mountain cave last time. Or it can be said that they went to transport ammunition and took the opportunity to pick up his mother-in-law. Looking at this pile of guns and ammunition, Captain Zhang was so happy that he couldn't sleep well for several days. That night, he got up to take a look again and again, touching them repeatedly.

Distribute guns to team members, Li Tie led all team members to deploy defenses in the base defense zone.

After several days of on-the-spot investigation, Li Tie gained a detailed understanding of the terrain of the base area.

Three-sided cliff is easy to say, in a hidden place set up an ambush, these places are easy to defend and difficult to attack, generally the devils will not attack from here, but also want to prevent any possibility. All ambushes ensure that they can see the entire cliff, and 24 hours on duty, each with two people, taking turns on duty. And in some relatively easy-to-climb places, artificially set obstacles, that is, stone arrays, according to the local conditions, only one thing is not lacking, that is stones, use stones to build a messy wall, once the devils come up, no need for human push, the messy wall falls down, smashing the guy. On the side of that small road, an ambush was built, one man guards the pass, and ten thousand men cannot open it. Little devils can try to come.

Emphasize defense on the south-facing slope, this is where the devils are most likely to come up.

From the south slope, there is also a mountain, but it's lower and more gentle, which is particularly beneficial for the enemy tanks to attack. Li Tie didn't know if there were any enemy tanks nearby, but preventing them was the best option. This mountain was a rocky mountain, with cliffs all over the top, not a single tree grew, only sparse wild grasses grew here and there. Li Tie had dug a wide anti-tank ditch in front of the mountain. Behind it, he set up a defensive line composed of death traps.

This defense line is full of traps linked together and hidden weapons connected one after another.

It's quite ordinary, without any technical content. When you're advancing cautiously, if you accidentally get knocked over by something, you'd better pray to God that you don't fall down, because the place where you fall might just have a thin but sturdy, pointed hawthorn branch waiting for you, and as long as your skin is scratched a little bit, the deadly poison on the branch will be a free ticket to send you to hell. This poison was extracted from the flowers of the peach tree by Li Tie and others, and even a tiny amount can kill a person.

If you haven't been knocked down, and suddenly the comrade next to you has vanished, don't be surprised. This is a very ordinary trap, usually used for catching wolves, but inside there aren't things that are beneficial to human health or promote social harmony. Instead, it's filled with sharpened hawthorn stakes, and if you fall in, your fate will be to have arrows pierce your heart, and your life will be lost in an instant.

If you haven't fallen into such a trap, then keep moving forward, it's possible that there is a landmine waiting for you to step on and blow your foot off, of course, it's also possible to directly blow you up.

As for others, such as flying men in the air, alligator mouths, wooden arrow cases, dog head beheading, strange hands, horizontal sweeping clubs, tiger mouths, hanging nets, inverted golden hooks, and hitting needles, you can continue to advance, there will always be one that suits you.

After doing all this, Li Tie made some modifications to the hillside.

This is the last line of defense based on the ground. If this line of defense is lost, the base will lose its last barrier.

The top of the mountain slope was a trench, of course different from the usual trenches. Li Tiecai didn't want to be like those in TV shows where a shell flies over and arms and legs go flying everywhere, who knows when he would lose his honor.

The mountain was not lacking in trees and stones, he dug the trenches deep and narrow, just enough for two people to walk side by side. On top of it, he laid two layers of tree trunks as thick as a bowl mouth, with about 50 centimeters of soil between them. On top of the wood, he piled up nearly one meter of soil, mixed with a considerable number of shrub branches and the like. Even if the enemy's infantry shells landed on it, the people below would not have any problems, but as for heavy artillery, Li Tie couldn't guarantee anything. Of course, the enemy rarely brought heavy artillery to the mountains, after all, it was inconvenient to move around.

The front wall of the trench was built with several tons of stones, in other words, the shooting port was set in the gap between the stones, as long as it wasn't directly shot from the shooting hole, it wouldn't threaten the safety of the guerrilla fighters.

To solve the problem of not being able to throw hand grenades, Li Tie and his men also invented a simple hand grenade launcher. When the enemy came from the front, the team members pulled the fuse in the trench, put the hand grenade into the launcher, and the hand grenade slid out of the launcher, accurately hitting the predetermined location. Because this launcher was easy to make, the team members made many, almost covering the entire front line, and disguised them with stones, trees, and mud, so that the enemy did not know where the hand grenades came from.

This is actually a reinforced dark fort. Li Tie actually copied the tunnel warfare, if the enemy comes from this direction, they will inevitably fall into a dilemma of advancing and retreating.

Without good armor, Li Tie could only make his own shield safer.

They are trying their best to consolidate their own base, and Li Tie also suggested that Captain Zhang should not relax his surveillance of the enemy.

Li Tie poisoned all the enemy soldiers in a watchtower, Lao Bao snatched the devil's gun, and Li Tie killed the little devil's squad leader. It has been nearly half a month since then, but the devils have not come to sweep or launch any major military operations. Everything is so calm, yet so unusual.

The scouts who went out have returned and brought back the latest news from outside.

What delighted Li Tie most was that the team members also brought instructions from the company commander.

On the same day he returned to the base, Captain Zhang sent Old Bao and another team member out.

Lao Bao searched for Lao Liu's team through the underground party and tried to contact them, while another team member went to town to scout out the enemy's movements.

Through the efforts of the local party organization, Old Bao successfully found the Second Company of the Sixth Battalion. When the company commander heard that Li Tie was still alive, he was indeed very happy, but due to special circumstances, he could not let Li Tie return to his unit immediately. After consulting with the battalion commander, the company commander instructed Li Tie: Temporarily stay in the local area and independently develop anti-Japanese armed forces, establish a base, and guide Captain Zhang's counter-sweeping operation.

Li Tieguai did not think he could "lead" Captain Zhang, but after all, he was a regular army background and had nearly eighty years of experience leading this era, so he still had some "guidance" for the guerrilla team.

The Sixth Division made a major internal adjustment, thoroughly subverting the Japanese army's original geographical intelligence data by streamlining command agencies, strengthening confidentiality work, eliminating internal traitors and adjusting formations. At the same time, it dispersed into small groups to the newly occupied enemy base areas or entered the rear of the Japanese army's security zone to conduct guerrilla warfare underground.

If Li Tie suddenly returns to the team, it's probably hard to find the old sixth regiment's first battalion through layers of enemy blockade. The first battalion will directly take him as a spark and scatter him into the mountains, leading the masses to counterattack against the Japanese invaders, which is the best choice for the current situation.

And another team member also brought news of the ghost.

Originally, the devils first discovered the poisoned devils and puppet troops because the phone was not connected. Then, the devil squadron leader guarding the station died (the retreating devils and puppet troops did not dare to say that the squadron leader was killed by a handgun being robbed, and he went to fight with the enemy, but was blown up by the enemy, only saying that they went out to sweep, were ambushed by the Eighth Route Army, and Village Squadron Leader was fearless of violence, bravely killing the enemy, and making great contributions to the Emperor). The Lieutenant Colonel Shōno guarding the outer city was greatly shocked, thinking that the main force of the Eighth Route Army had appeared nearby, and immediately reported to his superiors, requesting support.

All the gun emplacements were required to strengthen their vigilance, strictly control their diet, resolutely prevent eating in unfamiliar environments, and the water they drank every day was also required to be tested multiple times.

The garrison of the station was increased to a company of Japanese troops and two companies of puppet troops. In addition, Lieutenant Colonel Ono was also planning a thorough sweep of the nearby mountains to ensure the safety of the railway line.
