Chapter 2: The Unprovoked Attack on Lü Chuangs First Expedition

  Three Kingdoms New Lü Bu

The two of them walked south, their feet numb and not seeing a single person, so they had to stop and rest. As soon as they were idle, the woman's chatty nature came out. Even Yan Ni, who was normally proud and aloof, was no exception this time. She blamed Lv Chuan, saying: "It's all your fault, you didn't drive well, where did your eyes go?"

Lü Chuan was also annoyed, but the truck was driven by himself. After this incident, he couldn't say anything, only feeling suffocated in his heart: whoever encountered this matter would be unlucky, and who could avoid such a big whirlpool?

"What are we going to do now? The village is ahead, but..."

"Shut up!" Lu Chuan growled in a low voice.

Yanni was enraged again: "What, you yourself..."

"Don't speak." Lü Chuan issued another warning and perked up his ears to listen.

Yanni saw him like that and thought something was wrong, so she didn't dare speak loudly either. She whispered: "What's wrong?"

Lü Chuan wasn't quite sure, but it seemed like his ears had become much more sensitive, and he heard some kind of sound. As he listened carefully, he whispered: "It seems like there's a sound, don't make any noise."

Yanni pricked up her ears and listened carefully.

"Cough... cough... cough..." The sound gradually grew louder. Lv Chuan determined the direction of the sound, immediately straightened his body and looked in the direction where the sound came from.

All they saw was the north from which they had come, and a shadow was flying towards their right side. The shadow drew closer, and Lü Chuan saw that it was a person riding a horse in a frantic gallop. For a moment, he excitedly shouted out loud and jumped up to wave at the horseback rider: "Hey... hey... over here... there's someone over here..."

The riders in the distance were not originally galloping towards them, but after Lv Chuan's shout, they pulled their horses' heads to the side and rushed towards Lv Chuan. The riders got closer and closer, and when Lv Chuan saw the appearance of the approaching people, he was stunned.

He was about twenty years old, similar in age to Lü Chuang. However, he wore an ancient long gown, with his hair tied up in a headscarf, and what appeared to be a quiver on his back. A bow hung from the horse's neck. He held the reins in one hand and grasped a long instrument in the other, which was at least three meters long. The head of the instrument had multiple blades, resembling neither a spear nor a sword. Lü Chuang couldn't make out what it was, but the blade's edge gleamed with a cold light under the sunlight.

A man on horseback stopped about ten meters away from Lü Chuang and his companion, narrowing his eyes as he looked at them.

Lü Chuan's mind was racing: what kind of outfit is this? Is he filming a movie or some undiscovered nomad? Lü Chuan couldn't figure it out, and neither could Yan Ni. Although they couldn't tell the person's identity, they could see the look in his eyes.

All that could be seen was the man riding on horseback, with a strong physique and handsome appearance, but his expression was eerie. One corner of his mouth slightly curled up, revealing a hint of an evil smile. His eyes gleamed with a shameless gaze as they roamed over Yan Ni's body. Yan Ni felt very uncomfortable, one hand hurriedly covering her clothes, the other pulling tightly on her skirt.

Lv Chuan could tell that this person was not kind-hearted, but now he had to ask for help and could only endure it. He took a step forward and smiled: "Brother, may I ask..."

Lü Chu didn't even finish asking his question when the man gave him a cold glance. What happened next left Lü Chu and Yan Ni stunned. The rider didn't wait for Lü Chu to finish speaking, he turned his horse around and charged towards Lü Chu, swinging the long object in his hand straight at Lü Chu's neck without any warning.

Lü Chuan was shocked and instinctively jumped to the side. The rider missed his move and galloped past Lü Chuan's side. Lü Chuan escaped a disaster, scaring out a cold sweat. The rider, having failed in his first move, rode his horse tens of meters away, turned around, and carefully sized up Lü Chuan, with a look of surprise in his eyes.

It was just a moment. The rider raised the long object in his hand and shouted: "Ah..." His eyes turned fierce, his body exuding a strong killing intent, and he charged at Lü Chuan again.

Yanni screamed uncontrollably beside him, while Lü Chuan suddenly calmed down. He didn't understand why the man wanted to kill him, but he knew that if he wasn't careful, his life would be in danger. Lü Chuan could see the ferocity in the man's eyes and the chill of killing intent emanating from his body.

The rider made another move, slashing towards Lü Chuang again. Lü Chuang didn't know what was happening to himself, but he felt that the man's speed was fast, yet not so fast that he couldn't avoid it. So before the man's slash came down, he jumped aside once more and dodged the fatal blow.

The rider made two moves without success, turned his horse's head again, with anger in his eyes and a slight tremble at the corner of his mouth, he shouted: "Barbarian slave, accept your death!" Then he charged towards Lü Chuan once more.

Lü Chuan saw that man make a killing move twice, and a nameless anger suddenly arose in his heart. He was innocent and had been attacked, if this continued he would be killed sooner or later. As he quickly thought it over, he had already made up his mind to kill.

The rider's right hand held the weapon and stabbed at Lü Chuan again. Lü Chuan untied the leather belt around his waist as the horse galloped in front of him, suddenly pouncing to the left side of the horse, a falcon swooped down, and with his right hand, he swung the belt towards the horse's left forehoof.

Lü Chuan only felt a force pulling from the belt, and in order not to be dragged under the horse's hooves, Lü Chuan had no choice but to let go. Although this move by Lü Chuan didn't have much killing power, it tripped up the horse. Suddenly, there was a mournful whinnying sound, "Hee...!" and the rider fell off along with his horse, landing in a heap.

Lü Chuan quickly got up from the ground. The rider obviously didn't expect Lü Chuan to make such a move, and was thrown off his horse, dazed. Before the rider could get up from the ground, Lü Chuan took a swift step forward, pounced like a hungry tiger, and pressed down on the rider's back.

The rider was pressed down by Lü Chuan from behind, losing the advantage, but his strength was not small. With a loud shout, he wanted to flip Lü Chuan over. Lü Chuan would never let the rider succeed, and saw Lü Chuan's left hand pinching the rider's neck, while his right hand grabbed three or four arrows from the quiver on the rider's back. With a roar of anger, he stabbed towards the rider's back.

The rider was pierced and screamed, a black bear pounced on his back, with his right hand holding the weapon and slammed it backwards. Lü Chuán had no inch of steel in his hand, unable to block the rider's weapon, so he could only jump away. The two men sprang up from the ground, their eyes locked in anger. With the same gaze, the same killing intent, the rider's right mouth corner twitched slightly, and Lü Chuán's mouth corner also trembled unconsciously.

Two strong men clashed, and the air was filled with tension. The rider held a long weapon in both hands and struck at Lü Chuan again. Lü Chuan did not retreat but instead took a big step forward, swinging his arms towards the weapon, tightly grasping the hilt, and engaging in a fierce struggle for control of the weapon. The rider was initially surprised that Lü Chuan did not dodge but instead came to seize his weapon, then he smiled slyly, pulling the weapon back with both hands.

Lü Chuan didn't know that the mounted soldier's weapon was so formidable, advancing to stab, retreating to hook, swinging to chop, and turning to scrape. Having suffered a loss, he only felt a chill on his right rear shoulder, and a sharp pain came from behind his back.

Lü Chuan took advantage of the situation and didn't dare to use his full strength, so he pushed forward instead. The rider didn't expect Lü Chuan to react so quickly, and in a moment of carelessness, he was pushed back several steps, almost falling off. Taking advantage of the rider's loss of balance, Lü Chuan flipped his hand and placed his weapon horizontally between them. This way, the two men began to wrestle for control of the weapon again.

Two people of similar age, with equally handsome faces, equally strong physiques, equally ferocious eyes, and equally murderous auras. Even the injuries on their right backs are identical. The only difference lies in their wisdom and reaction.

Lü Chuán knew he couldn't hold on for long, so he quickly lifted his right leg and kicked it towards the opponent's groin.

This kick was unbearable, the rider's eyes widened instantly, and a painful expression appeared on his face. Lü Chuan immediately felt that the pressure given by the opponent had decreased greatly, and he shouted angrily again. Taking advantage of the opportunity to snatch the weapon, with both hands flipping over, the blade facing the rider's chest was stabbed down.

Only a mournful cry from the rider was heard, and a stream of blood spurted out, dyeing Lu Chuan's chest-front shirt red.
