Meiwei stood by the cauldron of magical medicine, watching the blue liquid inside boiling and churning ceaselessly. Everything in this school was constantly attracting her, every day was full of novelty and interest.
Aunt Mei walked over to take a look at Mavis's stove, picked up the magic wand and gently stirred it "Not bad, adding some Sarami flower seeds would make it even better"
Maiwei smiled and nodded, then went to the back cabinet to get the seeds of the Sarami flower. Maiwei stretched out her hand to reach for the bottle on top when another pair of hands also reached for the same bottle. Maiwei curiously turned her head around, and it turned out that the owner of those hands was a quiet girl in their class - Luna. She looked soft and weak, with a pure and beautiful smile, but she had a very low presence and was often overlooked as she was always quietly there. Maiwei smiled at her and nodded, then handed the bottle to her "You go first, I'm not in a hurry."
Luna smiled in gratitude and took a sip before handing it back to Mivie. "Thanks."
Meiwei watched as Luna seriously stirred the medicine.
When class was over, the classmates rushed out one after another. Auntie Mei walked to Mavis's side and whispered a sentence "It seems like something is going to happen recently, be careful"
Meiwei slightly furrowed her brow and nodded, looking at her aunt's serious expression.
Maiwei slowly walked back to the classroom, because of what Aunt Mei'er said, she was a bit distracted and didn't even hear Aila talking to her. Aila ran in front of Maiwei and blocked her way "Maiwei! Did you hear me speaking at all?!"
Meiwei suddenly regained her composure "En?"
"You really didn't hear, did you?!" Ella pouted, her hands on her hips.
"Sorry..." Mavis apologized with a sheepish tongue-out expression.
"Whatever whatever" Aila returned to her usual gossiping self "Mavis, you know what? School has been really weird lately"
"What does it mean?" Mavis asked curiously.
"I heard that several senior school sisters in the second year mysteriously disappeared, they didn't leave the school gate, but just disappeared...". Aila's expression was slightly fearful.
"How could this be..." Mavis connected this matter with Auntie Mel's words just now and couldn't help but feel a chill run down her spine.
"Who knows?" Ella shrugged. "The school seems to be investigating this matter, but I think it's probably just them playing hooky and not coming back yet. Anleiman Academy has been established for so many years, nothing has ever happened before, it should be fine."
"Hope so," Mavis smiled lightly at Aila, but her heart was filled with intense doubts.
At night, Mavis returned to the dormitory, changed her clothes and prepared for bed. As she walked to the bedside to close the window, she unexpectedly heard a strange sound, like singing and crying... intermittent, faintly visible...
When Mui wanted to listen carefully, it returned to a piece of quietness, as if there had never been any sound. Mui frowned, and for an instant she thought she was having auditory hallucinations from time to time...
Without thinking too much, Mavis closed the window and snuggled into bed, entering a peaceful sleep.
