Chapter 2: The Stunningly Handsome Man
A white grand piano stood alone, and beside it was a man wearing a white shirt, his head slightly bowed. His striking purple short hair was neatly combed to the side of his face, and his slender fingers danced across the keys.
Dorothy stood outside the floor-to-ceiling window, her eyes fixed on the man's profile. From her angle, she could only see his side face, but even that 45-degree angle revealed a perfectly chiseled profile. If she were to look at him straight on...
As if sensing Dorothy's gaze, the man stopped playing and looked directly in her direction.
In that instant, Dorothy admitted she was stunned for a second. The man's face was so breathtakingly beautiful that no words could describe it. His features were perfectly proportioned, leaving even Dorothy's normally calm expression with a hint of unintended fluctuation.
As their eyes met, however, Dorothy didn't feel any awkwardness.
The man's piercing gaze was cold and detached, exuding an air of natural dominance that made people feel uneasy. Fortunately, Dorothy was also someone who had seen the world, so she maintained her composure and scanned him with a neutral expression.
A moment later, he yawned, ignoring the sharpness in his eyes, and turned to leave.
The man watched her back for a while before a cold smile spread across his face.
As soon as Dorothy left his line of sight, she quickly took a few deep breaths and patted her chest. The man's gaze was truly terrifying, making people feel suffocated. If she hadn't reacted quickly, she might not have been able to withstand it. From now on, she would avoid him whenever possible.
But was he from their school? With his exceptional looks, he should be famous in the campus by now...
Never mind, it's better not to think too much about this kind of person. They're never simple, and no matter who he is, she should keep her distance to avoid trouble.
After finishing her cleaning duties, Dorothy saw Ren Ruhua's gloomy face and patted the dust off her clothes, ready to head home for a lazy afternoon.
As soon as she walked out of the school gate, a little boy ran up to her: "Sister, there's an uncle who asked me to give you this letter!"
Looking at the envelope in the child's hand, Dorothy recognized the familiar blood-red flame stamp and nodded. "Okay, thank you."
She opened the envelope and read the contents before taking out her phone and dialing a familiar number. A clear female voice answered immediately: "Hello, little one! Miss you?"
"Hey, it's time to end your vacation. We have a new mission!"
Dorothy then dialed another number, and a playful male voice responded: "Baby, miss me?"
"Yeah, I do. Hurry back and let's get down to business. Meet at the usual place tonight."
"Oh, baby, you're always so boring!"
"Be good, and I'll give you two blocks of tofu later."
"Really? I want a kiss too!"
"Do they have kissing tofu? Which brand is it? I need to find some!"
"Dorothy, you're teasing me again!"
Dorothy smiled and shook her head. Only when talking to her close friends did she reveal the smile that a 17-year-old should have. If not for them, would she be just a puppet following orders like a walking corpse?
She was Dorothy, the exclusive thief of the Dark Night Gate organization, codename: Dark Night Rose.
The Dark Night Gate was an organization wanted by the entire world, hiding in every corner of the globe. Each member had their own codename and followed the organization's commands, executing assigned tasks. The organization had three departments: the Thief Department, the Reporter Department, and the Assassin Department. In each department, only the winners were allowed to stay; losers had no choice but to die.
Seeking gold medals, seeking collections, seeking recommendations, seeking clicks, seeking comments, seeking red envelopes, seeking gifts... Whatever you want, come at me!
