Chapter 27: A Gathering of Friends

  The car drove out of the villa, Mu Yu Xing sat in the back seat and took out a makeup box. Tian Nuan Yu thought she was going to start making up again, but she just tidied up her already neatly combed hair against the mirror in the makeup box, then stared at her bare face in the mirror for a while before closing the makeup box.

  Muyuxin put the makeup box into her bag, then turned her head to gaze out of the car window at the rapidly passing scenery, her expression seemingly lost in thought.

  Tian Nuanyu glanced at Mu Yuexin through the rearview mirror, seeing that her face had revealed the sweet smile she saw in the afternoon, and this time the smile also carried a hint of excitement and impatience.

  All the way, Mu Yu Xing remained silent, and Tian Nuan Yu also didn't speak up. In the silence, the car drove for about forty minutes before finally arriving at the place Mu Yu Xing had mentioned.

  Tian Nuoyu took a look and found it was a leisure club.

  Decorating a leisure club with such a humanities style might just be trying to stand out, Tian Nuoyu lightly shook her head.

  Mu Yu Xin let Tian Nuanyu park the car in the underground garage of the clubhouse, and the two took the direct elevator from the garage to the fifth floor. Tian Nuanyu noticed that the highest floor the elevator could reach was the fifth floor.

  As she stepped out of the elevator, Tian Nuanyu saw a screen about two meters high standing in front of her at the elevator entrance. On the screen was written a large golden character "Jin" in cursive script. She lowered her head and saw that on the marble floor was printed a large Tai Chi pattern.

  Muyuxin walked straight out of the elevator and turned left, Tian Nuanyu followed behind her and saw that all the rooms here were private rooms, but the distribution of the private rooms was not the usual corridor-room layout on both sides. Instead, the corridors curved and had multiple corners, and all the private rooms were distributed in a staggered manner at different turning points.

  Mù Yǔ Xīn seemed to be very familiar with this place, she walked quickly and turned several corners before heading towards the private room on the far east side. She walked so fast that Tián Nuǎn Yù following beside her couldn't even see the route they took. When she looked back, the several private rooms they passed by had already disappeared from view behind the corner.

  However, Tian Nuanyu noticed that the door frames of the several VIP rooms they passed by were respectively marked with the words "Zi Gong", "Chou Gong", "Yin Gong", and "Mao Gong". The doors were painted with patterns of mice, cows, tigers, and rabbits. Tian Nuanyu understood that each room was named after a earthly branch and its corresponding zodiac animal.

  Based on what she saw earlier, Tian Nuoyu guessed that the layout of this villa might be arranged according to the Taiji Five Elements, and the "gold" on the screen at the elevator entrance should be the gold in the five elements of gold, wood, water, fire, and earth. The corridor is curved and has turns, it's possible that it's arranged according to the Bagua formation, this pattern is quite novel, but Tian Nuoyu thought to herself, she really needs to follow Mu Yuexin closely, otherwise, she might get lost easily.

  Finally, Mu Yu Xian walked to the door of a private room at the farthest east end.

  Tian Nuanyu saw that the door was written with "Chen Gong", and the pattern on the door was a dragon. Tian Nuanyu thought that if these names and zodiac patterns were meaningful, then this suite should be a VIP-level suite.

  Mu Yu Xin stood at the door and didn't push it open immediately, instead she stopped in her tracks. She gently patted her chest before slowly pushing the door open and walking inside.

  Tian Nuanyu followed her in and found that there was no one inside.

  Mu Yu Xin's face showed a hint of disappointment, she raised her hand to glance at the watch on her wrist, and the disappointed look on her face immediately disappeared, then she walked straight to the sofa in the room and sat down.

  Tian Nuoyu walked over and sat down beside Mu Yuexin at the door of the Jade Pavilion.

  Mu Yu Xin didn't say a word and instead took out her phone from her bag and started browsing.

  Tian Nuoyu looked around the private room and found it very spacious. Three sides of the room were plain white walls, and one side was a floor-to-ceiling transparent glass wall, with an unobstructed view of the night scene outside the window.

  Right in front of the door, a 52-inch LCD TV was placed, with two half-person-high speakers on either side. Two groups of black leather corner sofas were arranged on either side of the TV against the wall. She and Mu Yu Xin sat on one of the sofas, their backs to the glass wall.

  They have a karaoke machine on one side of the sofa close to the TV, with two microphones on it. Next to the karaoke machine stands a floor-to-ceiling transparent glass wine cabinet against the wall, holding many foreign wines.

  Between the two groups of sofas is a rectangular brown glass coffee table, on which are placed two plates of fruit, one with uncut oranges, apples, bananas and so on, and the other with cut-up dragon fruit and other fruits, next to the fruit plate are several dishes of dried fruit snacks.

  These things must have been put here recently. The fruits in the fruit plate look very fresh. There are still a few water droplets on the oranges and apples.

  Mu Yu Xin's gaze also fell on the fruit platter, and a happy smile appeared on her face.

  Tian Nuanyu turned her head and looked out the window through the glass wall, outside was a sea of lights, she found that not far from them was the "Floating City", no wonder she felt familiar with the route when she drove over just now, it turned out that this club was just behind the "Floating City".

  The door of the package room was suddenly opened, and Mu Yuexin's eyes burst out with bright light in an instant. Tian Nuanyu also turned her head to look at the door.
