Storm
The rain started pouring down, drop by drop hitting the whale-watching boat's cabin top. The stubborn captain still insisted on sailing into the deep sea. Heaven gave her chance after chance, but she refused to turn back. The light rain gradually grew heavier, and the wind picked up, blowing the rain into the cabin. Then, a fierce storm raged on, violently shaking the whale-watching boat, and Captain Lotus began to lose control. The storm did not stop tormenting her just because she could no longer steer the ship. Captain Lotus struggled to operate the boat, but she herself had lost direction.
It was at this time that Luolian didn't think of herself, but thought of Whale King driving a thin sailboat. If he was also in the sea water, what could he do? Luolian must find him to save him. "Whale King, Whale King!" Luolian's heart was burning with anxiety, and she began to sob.
One huge wave after another crashed over the boat, pounding against the cabin. The interior of the boat was filled with water. Lu Lian saw that the boat was about to sink and quickly turned off the engine. He rushed into the cabin and started scooping out water with a bucket. Another massive wave hit, causing Lu Lian to lose his footing while he was bailing out water in the cabin. He was knocked down by the powerful wave and swept away along with the wooden bucket to the stern of the boat.
Lian grabbed the railing at the back of the boat, or she would have been thrown out to sea. She was already soaked through, and her tears had long since been washed away by the seawater. The wind and rain hit her face, making it impossible for her to open her eyes, and she felt like she was going to die, this time she definitely wouldn't escape. She tore at her throat, shouting "Whale King! Whale King!" The seawater came again, covering her mouth. She had swallowed a lot of water, and was almost choking on it. She couldn't even cry anymore. But she knew that she couldn't just die like this, if she died, what would happen to the Whale King? He would definitely be heartbroken. So even though she was almost unconscious, she still clung tightly to the railing at the back of the boat, refusing to let go.
The storm ravaged her and the whale-watching boat. Luolan thought, she would definitely get through this, heaven had always been kind to her, heaven wouldn't be so cruel to her. Simple-minded Luolan, how could she know that heaven was just as unpredictable, when it liked her, everything good came to her, when it didn't love her, all sorts of unimaginable cruelty were thrown at her.
Lotus Endured, the boat's rocking gradually subsided, the wind died down, the rain stopped, the clouds dispersed, and the Morning Star appeared on the horizon of the hazy sky.
Luo Lian got up from the stern of the boat, staggering to the driver's cabin, starting the engine and continuing to move forward. The driver's cabin was also full of water, with many devices damaged by the wind and rain. What was even more deadly was that Luo Lian had lost her geographical coordinates, she had no idea where she was. Even more deadly was that when Luo Lian came out in a hurry, she only discovered now that there was no fresh water reserve in the cabin, no physical reserve, and the boat oil was almost gone. Luo Lian realized that although she had narrowly escaped the stormy night, she would still not be able to escape death in the end.
Luo Lian drove forward aimlessly, and after a day of driving, she was almost dehydrated. In her daze, an island appeared in front of her. Luo Lian rubbed her eyes, and to her surprise, the island looked so familiar. As she moved forward a bit more, she saw clearly that it was indeed her home, Mermaid Island!
She had been gone for a whole day and night, maybe Whale King was back home waiting for her! As soon as Luo Lian thought of this, she accelerated the boat to its maximum speed and headed straight for Whale Bridge. As soon as the boat docked, she jumped onto the bridgehead without even tying up the boat, and ran all the way back home. "Whale King! Whale King!" she shouted loudly, searching every nook and cranny of the house, but it was still empty. Luo Lian then ran outside to search again, but the entire coastline was also deserted.
Luo Lian was sitting on the whale bridge, and the silver spirit whale under the bridge was stepping on her feet. Even the silver spirit whale was asking her for the Whale King, but unfortunately, she didn't bring the Whale King back.
