Terrifying encounter with wolf

Those naive and tender years encountered a terrifying wolf

The mountain valley at night is so terrifying, the leaves rustling in the mountains, underfoot are uneven stones and withered branches. The dim half-moon reflects the sun's rays coldly, casting eerie shadows on the trees. The birds have returned to their nests, while the wild beasts that come out to forage at night let out hungry howls, making people panic.

Tian Tian walked on the rugged mountain road, her throat was already hoarse, and there was only a bottle of water left. Because she didn't have a lighter, the idea of eating that half bag of mutton also came to nothing. Her legs had long been sore from fatigue, now, she didn't even know where she was, surrounded by trees as far as the eye could see.

She leaned against the tree in despair, her hair a tangled mess, but she had no time to care for herself, and could only close her eyes and rest for a while, trying to ignore the roar of the unknown beast.

But no matter what, she couldn't sleep. She took out the small flashlight and dagger from her bag, put the flashlight in her pocket, opened the scabbard, and tested the sharpness of the dagger on her fingertips.

Then, he put it back in its scabbard, closed his eyes, and with a sense of security that he couldn't explain, fell into a deep sleep.

The beast's roar seemed to be getting closer and closer, the wind's angry howl grew louder, clouds completely blocked out the moonlight, leaves "slapped" to the ground, mixed with the withered leaves on the ground, without any distinction.

Tian Tian's eyelashes fluttered slightly, and she shifted uncomfortably. She had a light dream, in which there was Zong Zhongyan's clear and elegant face. His expression was serious as he said, "From now on, can you not take risks with your body? Can you take care of yourself?" Then, she lowered her head, laughing, unaware that her face was flushed like the last remnants of sunset that refused to fade away. She nodded lightly.

However, Zhong Jian seemed to have not seen it, he started grabbing Tian Tian's arm and shook it hard, muttering to himself repeatedly, "Can or can't? Can or can't?" Finally, his expression became ferocious, Tian Tian screamed in pain, but he didn't seem to hear her, tightly grasping her arm... Suddenly, it turned into Peng Yin's evil and seductive face, she said, "I won't let you go, absolutely not," her face twisted with a smile, she drew out a knife from her waist and slashed towards Tian Tian's face...

Tian Tian woke up with a start, her forehead covered in cold sweat. Fortunately, it was just a nightmare. She wiped her forehead and curled up into a ball, hugging her legs to her chest. Her eyes felt a bit blurry. Her stomach growled with hunger, she rubbed it gently and swallowed some saliva, hesitating for a long time before finally taking out the bag of mutton from her pack. She grabbed a piece and felt the greasy texture on her hand, along with the elasticity unique to meat. She almost suffocated as she stuffed the piece into her mouth. The raw smell of the meat and the gamey flavor of the mutton hit her nostrils and slid down her throat. When had she ever eaten raw meat? When had she ever been so desperate like today?

Her stomach churned suddenly, and she dry-heaved once, forcing herself to grit her teeth and not throw up. She only roughly chewed a few times before swallowing it into her belly. Expressionless, she swallowed piece by piece into her belly, every time she felt like vomiting, she tightly closed her mouth, even squeezing out tears. She knew that she must maintain sufficient physical strength to find Tian Cheng, to fight against the unknown disaster, and to support herself in walking out of this mountain forest.

She coughed violently twice, but suddenly found that about seven meters away from her, there was a pair of dark green glowing eyes staring at her motionlessly. Tian Tian's pupils shrank, all the hairs stood up, and she stared back at those eyes in disbelief, her scalp numb with fear.

As she got a clear look at the creature, she suddenly broke out in a cold sweat. It was a starving wolf! She calmed herself down internally, telling herself not to panic and took a deep breath.

Then, her hand slowly moved towards the pocket, grasped the dagger, and the other hand tightly held the flashlight. After calming down, she remembered that wolves are afraid of fire, light, and the sound of metal clashing. When encountering a wolf, you must not run away, as it will attack you because of your weakness.

For a moment, Tian Tian and the wolf stood still, facing each other without moving.

About half an hour later, the wolf began to stir restlessly, pacing back and forth in place, occasionally licking its mouth with its long, blood-red tongue, accompanied by a low growl of hunger. Can't bear it anymore? Tian Tian sneered, opening the knife sheath, the sharp blade flashed once, she was ready for a battle between humans and wolves, waiting for the hungry wolf to pounce, slash its throat, or be bitten to death, becoming its human flesh dinner.

But wait, what if the wolf pack is nearby? If this wolf sends out a distress signal, she's done for. It's best not to conflict with it, wolves are highly intelligent carnivores. Carnivorous... She glanced at the half-bag of dried mutton on the ground, then looked at the increasingly restless hungry wolf, picked up a piece and threw it to a place not far from the wolf.

The wolf must have been starving, seeing the thrown food, it swallowed it into its belly without hesitation, and continued to stare at Tian Sweet, but she didn't throw out all the mutton in the bag, instead, piece by piece, fed it until it finished eating all the meat.

It's time to go, Tian Tian thought, but it still stood upright on the spot, without any intention of leaving.

"Hey, aren't you leaving yet?" Tian Tian said with a quiver, "Do you want to eat me or something?!"

The wolf raised its neck and let out a long "howl", this sudden loud cry scared Tian Tian's hair standing on end. Then, it walked step by step closer to Tian Tian...

Tian Tian tightly grasped the dagger in her hand, and as soon as it charged up, she swiftly swung it to its throat.

The wolf stepped closer to her, its shiny fur gleaming in the moonlight. Its paws were large and powerful, its hind legs strong and muscular, its long thick tail swishing gently back and forth, its eyes sharp and shining brightly.

This was a grown wolf, quite robust in build, with saliva still dripping from its mouth... Tian Tian was extremely tense, her hand holding the dagger trembling slightly as she waited for it to pounce. When the wolf approached her side, she could almost see its fine and dense fur, contrary to what she had imagined, it did not rush up and viciously bite her, but instead, tugged at her sleeve, forcing her to stand up.

Tian Tian looked at the wolf in disbelief, slowly getting up. She suddenly understood! It was going to lead the way for her, to thank her for saving its life. Tian Tian was so moved that she almost cried out, but she also didn't dare to let her guard down, following behind the wolf at a distance of one meter, walking neither fast nor slow.

"I'm looking for someone, can you help me find him?" Tian Tian asked softly.

The wolf suddenly stopped and turned its head, giving Tian Tian a fright. She almost immediately stopped in her tracks and reached for the dagger in her pocket. The wolf let out a low growl in its throat and continued walking forward.

Did she understand what I just said? Tian Tian thought.
