The fourth one likes you when it's most sorrowful six
Tang Sugar stood at the fork in the road, watching Gu Xiannian and Tong Hua disappear into the distance. The road seemed to stretch on forever, getting longer and farther away. Their laughing figures were magnified and stretched out by the streetlights, and Tang Sugar could imagine Gu Xiannian's face, surely beaming with joy as he gazed adoringly at Tong Hua's radiant smile.
Just thinking about his good-looking eyebrows, gentle mouth corners, and eyes that warm people's hearts with a deep smile, none of which are for me, I couldn't help but sigh from the bottom of my heart and walk home in a daze.
The sky had started to drizzle with freezing rain at some point, and the temperature had dropped extremely low. Tangtang was so cold that her teeth were chattering. She tried to blow out a mouthful of white air into the dark night sky, as if she wanted to blow away all the depression in her heart. Then, wearing pink rabbit gloves, she reached out to grab it, but the white air quickly dissipated and gradually disappeared into the icy cold air. Tangtang didn't catch anything.
Just like she did with Gu Xian Year, pouring out everything but still unable to surpass the radiant smile of a fairy tale, Tang Sugar thought and thought until tears flowed even more.
She remembered what her mother had told her before, no matter what she did, as long as she kept trying and putting in effort, one day she would reap the rewards. But now, no matter how hard she tried to get close to him, it seemed like they were getting farther and farther apart, so far that it was like a light year away, maybe... there really was no way to take another step closer!
Tang sugar walked alone on the cold street with empty hands. It was almost Thanksgiving, and everywhere was decorated with lanterns and streamers, crowded with people, but all Tang sugar heard in her ears had nothing to do with herself. Although she was walking in the midst of the bustling crowd, she suddenly felt an unprecedented loneliness, her mind was empty, and she didn't want to think about anything, just staring blankly at the streetlights, passing by one lamp post after another, her shadow stretching and shrinking under the light.
As she was about to walk into that narrow alley, she heard a male voice, somewhat unfamiliar but seemingly heard somewhere before, and the voice sounded very terrified.
Tang Sugar hesitated and stopped in her tracks, cautiously peeking inside.
At six o'clock in the winter, it was already pitch black. The street lamp in the alley seemed particularly precious. Under the dim yellow light, a tall and thin boy was being forced against the wall by a not-too-large dog.
Tang Sugar walked over with a big stride, the boy heard the footsteps and cautiously turned his head around, seeing her he was like the troubled Tang Monk seeing Sun Wukong, flustered and seeking help: "Save me quickly!"
The two people's eyes met and they exclaimed in unison: "It's you!"
The young man didn't have time for a reunion and hastily said to Tang Sugar: "Quickly get the dog away from me!"
Tang sugar smiled at the young man, she never thought she would meet him again, her heart was so excited that it almost flew up. At the same time, she also felt very surprised, the superhero who had repeatedly saved her was actually afraid of dogs!
She walked up to the small white dog with a fierce expression, baring its teeth at the young man, and squatted down. The little white dog looked at her warily.
"Don't be afraid, no one will hurt you." Tang Sugar's voice was gentle, and she stretched out her chubby little hand to gently stroke the small white dog's back. The dog let out a comfortable whimper, relaxing from its alert state, and sat down on the ground, its two shiny black eyes looking at Tang Sugar with trust.
The young man finally let out a sigh of relief, just as he raised his hand to wipe away the cold sweat on his forehead, the little white dog suddenly stood up, took a step closer, and barked loudly at him.
"Alright, brother didn't mean it!" Tang Sugar hastily stood up and blocked the dog and the young man, she saw the young man's face was pale, guessing he must be scared.
The little white dog seemed to understand her words and hung its tail, quietly looking at her.
"Go home." Tang sugar said to the little white dog, the little white dog made a low and gentle sound from its throat, turned around and ran deep into the alley, soon disappeared.
The young man who was about to drill into the wall or climb up it let out a big sigh of relief, and gratefully gave Tangtang a smile, but his expression looked very awkward. Probably all boys are like this, always wanting to show off, if they show fear, they feel embarrassed.
"How did you end up here?" Tang Sugar asked in surprise, she had thought that there would be no chance of seeing him again.
It seemed that Tang Su's question was difficult to answer, and the smile froze on the young man's face. "Uh..." He thought for a moment: "I'm waiting for someone."
"Has he arrived?" Tang Sugar's pair of dark, shiny eyes stopped on the young man's handsome face. Every time she saw him, a word would pop into her mind: breathtakingly beautiful. Although this word wasn't quite suitable for a boy, she couldn't think of any other words to describe him. The young man was incredibly good-looking, so much so that it seemed unbelievable.
"Maybe I missed it." The young man replied casually, as if he didn't mind waiting for someone.
Although they had met several times, they were not familiar with each other. It seemed that what needed to be said had already been said, and the two people fell into an awkward silence. After hesitating for a moment, Tang Sugar said: "I'm going home." She turned around and walked forward.
The young man stood for a few seconds at the back, made up his mind, and quickly caught up with the woman, walking shoulder to shoulder with her, with an uncontrollable smile on his face.
"Huh? Aren't you going home?" Tangtang asked in surprise.
"Why don't you go back? It's just that it's too dark outside, I'll send you home first."
A warm current flowed through Tiantian's heart, and the smile lines on his face rippled out in circles. He tucked his feet in, tilted his head back, and looked at him seriously: "You're really great."
The young man smiled warmly and looked down at her with a gentle gaze.
Time seemed to freeze in that instant, Tang Su later thought that maybe he had already fallen for him at that moment, but at the time his gaze was all on Gu Xi Ye, so he didn't notice the feeling deep within his heart.
For some reason, the atmosphere between them was a bit strange. Tang Sugar suddenly felt very shy and turned her bright red face away.
The young man was also uncomfortable all over, obviously wanting to look at Tang sugar, but deliberately pretending to be nonchalant and not looking sideways. Before that summer night, he was like a chatterbox, now it seemed as if he had lost his voice, not making a sound.
Two people walked a distance in silence like a black and white silent film. It was Tang Sugar who spoke first: "What's your name?"
"Xiao Nuan Chen." The young man looked very shy.
"Xiao Nuan ah." Tang Sugar couldn't help but laugh as she repeated it again.
"What? The name doesn't sound good?" The young man gazed at her tensely.
"No, I think this name suits you well, it's a fitting nickname for Little Warmth, really very...” Tang Sugar paused, adorably tilting her head as if searching for the right words, “heartwarming.” She finally said these four words, which was the feeling she always got from Little Warmth afterwards, and it was a beautiful feeling of being carefully taken care of that she had never experienced with Gu Xian.
