Chapter 4: 05. Unexpectedly, she protected herself

Chapter 4: 05 Didn't think she would protect herself

"It was you!" the newcomer bellowed, kicking away a chair and rushing to the front of the cat, grabbing her with one hand. Glaring at her, "It's people like you who are sneaky and thieving! That's why our supermarket loses so much profit! Come with me!"

"What are you doing!" Before the cat could retort, Nai Jiu rushed up and pulled the cat behind her, glaring at the big man with indignation. "Whatever it is, let's talk it out before resorting to violence! Our students aren't people you can bully!"

"Good! This little thief!" He pointed at the cat, spitting with rage, "Last night it snuck into my house and stole a whole bag of things." As soon as he said this, the class erupted in an uproar, and Naiyou couldn't help but turn her head to look back at her suspiciously.

Clenching fists and gritting teeth, enduring others' finger-pointing.

"I don't think she would do that!" Nai suddenly firmed up her tone, "Don't talk nonsense until you understand the situation."

"How could I not have figured it out! She's still wearing the same clothes she had on! Besides, I'm just the supermarket owner downstairs from your place, wouldn't I recognize her figure?!" The big man was intimidating, "If I don't teach her a lesson today, my name isn't Wang Damao!"

"Go call Wei Chi teacher over." Nai Jiu said to the classmate who was in a daze on the side, and then looked at Wang Da Mao seriously. "I've already called her parents over, you sit down first and tell me the detailed situation of what happened yesterday. I don't believe that Miao Ni would do such a thing."

Wang Mao let out a cold snort and plopped himself down in the chair: "Yesterday, that little thief came to my supermarket to steal things. When I saw him, he was trying to escape through the window. I reached out to grab him but missed. Someone outside blew a whistle and called out for Miao Ni to come out quickly. That's when I remembered that there was a family upstairs with a daughter named Miao Ni who was studying here. So I came! And she hasn't even changed her clothes yet!"

The cat scrunched up its eyebrows and stared at him coldly: "Not everyone in the world wears this T-shirt, nor is everyone surnamed Cat."

"Yes, you must have misheard." Naijo replied, "Besides, she's just a girl, how could she do something like that."

Just as Wang Damao was hesitating, a classmate suddenly jumped up from his seat and rushed out.

"Wait! Where are you going, Mōri?" Another boy shouted loudly and hastily followed him out.

"It's Mōri! It must be that kid." The big guy stood up from his seat, about to chase after him. Their classmates also came to a sudden realization.

"What happened?" Wei Chi walked in from behind, his hands pressing on the heads of Mori and another boy. "Am I too late?"

The classroom was in a mess. Wang Mao grabbed those two mischievous kids, scolded them fiercely and then handed them over to the principal.

The cat pounced into her arms, and her eyes turned red uncontrollably.

Nai looked a bit embarrassed and put her hands behind her back: "Looks like it was just a misunderstanding. You're here now, that's good."

Wei Chi nodded in gratitude, crouched down and affectionately pinched the cat's slightly reddened nose: "You're so big now, don't cry like a kid."

The cat let out a cold hum, turning away its gaze, unintentionally seeing Naiqiu's face flush with embarrassment in front of Wei Chi, and couldn't help but lower her eyes. Just now, she didn't think that Naiqiu would stand up to protect herself.

All along, I thought she disliked me.

It seems that I thought too badly of Naijo. With a guilty conscience, she lowered her head without saying a word.
