Chapter 4: Neko Classmates Summer

  Chapter 4: Cat Classmate's Summer

A month passed quickly. The day of the new semester is approaching. My hair has grown long enough to tie a ponytail, and that white cotton skirt feels a bit tight when I wear it again.

Many things have changed, but every morning they brush their teeth together in front of the mirror, looking at each other's mouths full of bubbles and exchanging a smile, as well as Naijo's daily visit to her husband's workplace, which has never changed.

I originally thought that being lonely together wouldn't be called loneliness, but I didn't expect you to bring me so much happiness.

The cat looked up at the floating clouds in the sky, and its thoughts drifted off to who-knows-where, as if gazing at the ever-changing clouds would suddenly bring to mind a face, a blurry and sorrowful face.

That was Su Xiang, she was certain, even if she had never seen it clearly before.

Most of the time, she gazed at his profile, captivated by every smile. At that moment, the flow of time seemed to slow down.

Like a spilled thick ink, spreading out bit by bit.

The day Hua Du Middle School opened, Wei Chi sent her to the school gate. She waved her left hand at him with her backpack on, then went to the office to register.

She found a separate empty seat and sat down with her eyes closed, waiting for the teacher to start class.

"Hello everyone, I am your class teacher Nai Jiu. For the next three years in junior high school, I will be managing you all." Thunderous applause.

The cat looked incredulously at the podium, where a smiling woman was hugging her data. Naiyou was actually her homeroom teacher! Why?! Wherever she appeared was disgusting. The cat suddenly lost its longing for the three years of junior high school life. It buried its head and fell onto the desk.

Nakajo seemed to notice her presence, paused for a moment, and then smiled as she introduced the knowledge and management of Hanatobi Junior High School. The mischievous boys in the class kept whistling, and the voices and laughter filled the room. Nekomata frowned, her classes at the orphanage were never this noisy.

Maybe it's because of Nayuki's influence on her mood, Nekomata can't seem to find interest in anything she sees, and is feeling a bit visually fatigued.

After lunch, it's time for a nap. The cat is not good at anything else, but sleeping is fine. She slept through her head and didn't even know she had class.

Her classmates saw her sitting alone with a straight face and knew she didn't like to communicate with others, so no one reminded her.

"Cat classmate." A hand poked her head.

She was sleeping soundly and sweetly, but she couldn't help getting annoyed, waving her hand and saying: "Who is it?!"

The man didn't respond, but instead continued to poke her, accompanied by stifled giggles. The cat, dissatisfied, raised its head and glared at him. When she saw the familiar warm smile, she widened her eyes and was speechless.

What brings you here! Her raised eyebrows conveyed.

I like it. Wei Chi blinked her left eye: "If you sleep in class again, I'll do this." She said, taking the brush in her hand and lightly drawing a line on her face.

The tender green pigment, applied to her pale face, made her look even more fresh and beautiful.

The cat slipped away with a hint of embarrassment amidst the classmates' stifled giggles, looking out the window with a pout.

The fragrance of the Osmanthus fragrans in summer, the cicadas' tireless chirping, the rustling sound of leaves colliding with each other, and the scratching sounds of brushes on rice paper made by classmates in art class all constitute an indispensable part of this summer.

Deeply embedded in the memory of catkins, leaving beautiful texture on the palm.
