Chapter 1: The Irresistible Existence

Chapter 1: The Existence I Yearn for Unbearably

"Come with me to the infirmary." Meow said, pulling him along as she walked. He resisted for a few moments before finally following her, her hand gripping his tightly, as if afraid he would suddenly change his mind and run away.

It's too hot, his face turned red again.

As she walked into the medical room, she saw the nurse looking at her with a strange gaze, as if she was holding onto a monster. Before she could say anything, Liang Chen suddenly let go of her hand and stood coldly to one side.

The nurse roughly cleaned his wound, applied a plaster cast, and looked at Liang Chen's tightly furrowed eyebrows, wincing in pain but still enduring. Meow couldn't help but feel a pang of heartache: "Hey, nurse, be gentle!"

The nurse gave her a cold look: "If you're afraid of pain, you should be more careful, it's troublesome for me."

The cat's eyes were dim, its mouth was numb, and its ears seemed to be deaf. Its eyes were still pitch black without a hint of light, and on its perfectly delicate face, there was only an icy coldness that had become habitual. Having heard it many times, it had become accustomed to it, so it had long since become numb.

Out of the infirmary, it was already very late. Cat Ni shook her head: "Alas, another day's classes escaped. I, Lao Da, can't lead you astray. Tomorrow, obediently follow me to class, under that cherry blossom tree, we'll meet in the morning."

He stared at the moon with a good expression, without any reaction.

But Miao Ni knew he must have heard it, just as she was about to leave, a strange cry suddenly came from the darkness.

"It's not even summer yet, how come the frogs are croaking louder than the ducks.........." She said, turning her head to take a glance at Liang Chen, who suddenly turned his face away.

"Cluck cluck." He quickly wanted to leave. But was pulled back by the cat: "Almost forgot, you didn't eat anything at noon today, how can a child grow up without eating? Follow Lao Da to the cafeteria."

He silently followed the cat to the cafeteria, got two boxed lunches from the cafeteria auntie. Although his right hand was in a cast and he couldn't eat, he still insisted on using his left hand instead of letting the cat feed him. What a stubborn little kid.

After eating his fill, Mao Ni sent him back to the dormitory. Watching his small figure disappear into the darkness, Mao Ni felt an indescribable pang in his heart.

She waved her hand at the air, and if she could, she really hoped that she would become a sun to illuminate the darkness belonging to Liang Chen.

Even the most timid things can bloom into beautiful flowers. Isn't that what he said? Thinking of Wei Chi, she slightly raised the corners of her mouth, and her heart was filled with inexplicable happiness and sweetness.

She turned around and walked in another direction, when she returned to the dormitory, she knocked gently on the door, Xi Yin opened the door, then they slipped into the quilt together, whispering to each other.

There is a class of girls in a room, all lying asleep, and none of them are very old.

They were all asleep, only Cat Niu and Xi Yin were still excited and couldn't fall asleep. Cat Niu had a lot to say, mainly about that boy named Wei Chi. She thought she was really hopeless, as soon as she calmed down, she would always think of him.

His eyebrows and eyes full of sunshine, his canvas, his gentle smile, and his warm palms. What a being that makes people can't help but yearn for and want to get close to.

Just like Kuafu chasing the sun, knowing it's impossible, yet still stubbornly believing in and pursuing it, only to end up dying of thirst.

The cat doesn't realize this now, she says she's tired and happily closes her eyes to sleep, full of expectation to see him in her dreams.
