Chapter 2: The Young Master White Musgrove

Chapter 2: The Young Master White Mu Si

The cat and the kitten were not locked in the small black room for 3 days. On the third day, in the afternoon, the door opened. The teacher stood backlit and said: "Come out, someone wants to adopt you."

They were all shocked and looked at each other in dismay.

In childhood was mischievous, in order not to leave each other, always refused to be adopted, now grown up, want to leave but because of age too old being rejected.

Now, is there really someone willing to adopt a child over 10 years old?

"Stop daydreaming and come out quickly." The teacher said, knocking on the wooden door, they immediately jumped up from the ground and rushed out.

In the office of the dean's company, Cat Ni and Xi Yin stood side by side. A young couple came to adopt them.

The man's suit looked very expensive, and the years had not weakened his good looks, but rather made him more charming. The woman sitting next to him was delicate in features, but on closer inspection, she seemed a bit haggard. There was also a boy who came with them, about the same age as the cat, but much taller than her.

He stood with his hands in his pockets, his profile handsome and captivating, as if he was God's most exquisite masterpiece. But his eyes were elusive and unpredictable, making him seem mysterious. He noticed the cat-like gaze, and a hint of playful teasing curled up at the corner of his mouth, as if it had been practiced thousands of times before, looking good.

The cat's eyes did not converge, still recklessly sizing him up, she didn't know what convergence was.

Xi Yu lowered her head, her palms sweating. She could only hope that the goddess of fortune would smile upon her.

The woman director began to speak, her tone was gentle and polite: "Mr. Bai, you see, you said you want a bigger child, these two girls are the biggest here, the others are relatively younger. Have you made a decision?"

The man glanced at them faintly, helped his wife stand up, and looked very loving towards her: "I still have business on my side, so let him choose for himself to be a sister to our son."

"Xiao Si, be good and stay here for two days, we'll come back in a few days." The woman gently stroked the boy's hair, her tone filled with reluctance. As she did so, the boy's gaze softened for an instant, then became blurry again, like being shrouded in winter fog, unable to see clearly.

Her fingers trembled slightly, and her nose suddenly turned sour. If Su Xiang hadn't abandoned her, would she have lovingly stroked her hair?

She wouldn't, she ruthlessly strangled her own fantasy, stabbing a knife deep into the softest part of her heart.

She strained herself at the train station until she was powerless, and only when she squatted down and cried loudly did she give up in despair.

She was abandoned, truly and utterly, with no other explanation.

This is simply a fact, can only be faced, and can only be accepted as a fact.

After that dazzling couple left, the boy walked a few steps to the front of the cat, his misty eyes staring at her, and the corner of his mouth hooked up: "What's your name?"

The voice is low and gentle, but it sounds good and has an inexplicable attraction.

"It's just a cat." She stepped back and replied, frowning.

He actually made her feel oppressed, as if the air pressure had suddenly increased.

"It's a very special name, I'm called Bai Muxi." He smiled, with a crescent-shaped dimple on his mouth. It looked dazzling, but Mao Ni felt that his smile didn't seem like a smile, as if it was just an expression.

What an oddball, she thought to herself.

Bai Miao seemed completely unaware of Xi Yin's existence, reaching out to pull the cat: "Let's go for a walk."

He actually pulled her hand so easily, and the cat-like girl quickly withdrew her hand as if she had been electrocuted, a hint of displeasure flashing across her face. Bai Muxi wasn't angry at all, but instead looked at her with great interest, as if he had seen something very novel.
