Chapter 4: 09. I like you, please accept my confession.
The cat sat on the table, listening to Wei Chi and his classmates explaining classroom knowledge, without saying a word. His voice was still gentle, and every time he looked up or down, there were girls going crazy for him in secret.
But today he is no longer as cheerful as before, and has become silent.
The cat is guessing that he is also sulking about yesterday's matter with her, actually as long as he walks up to him as usual and says something casually, but he can't do it himself.
The bell rang, and Wei Chi walked out of the classroom under the lingering gaze of the female students. As he passed by the window, Miao Miao saw his melancholic profile in the sunlight with a hazy glow.
He slightly lowered his head, and his figure seemed somewhat desolate.
The cat blinked its eyes, and I felt like a sheet of white paper that had been crumpled up, with fine lines and wrinkles densely distributed all over.
"Have you heard?" came an excited conversation between two girls beside me. "There's some explosive news."
"What happened?"
"Naiqiu teacher is going to confess, I saw her post on the forum yesterday. There are already hundreds of comments, all saying she's definitely confessing to Weizhi teacher!" She excitedly grabbed her companion's sleeve and shook it repeatedly, "Want to go to the office to take a look? Only five minutes left until confession time!"
"Alright, alright, go quickly." As he spoke, a large crowd of interested people rushed out of the classroom in a flurry, kicking up a cloud of dust.
The cat jumped onto the table and closed the book, instantly replacing its originally depressed mood with indignation.
It was as if there was a burning fire in her chest cavity, scorching hot and making her heart ache.
She clenched her fists, kicked away the chair and left her seat, following more and more people to the office.
The office was surrounded by students inside and out, waterlogged and impassable. The entire corridor was noisy and chaotic. Cat Ni squeezed to the front with great difficulty, barely able to see a bit of what was going on inside.
The office was empty as if by prior arrangement, and Nao stood in front of Eri, obediently lowering her head, clasping her hands together, and blushing to the point where she seemed about to drip with water.
She spoke as if it was very difficult, and finally managed to stammer out a few words, vaguely like "I like you, please accept my confession."
Wei Chi stood beside the table, looking down at her with his head bowed, and said a few words with his lips opening and closing. Nai Jiu's face immediately turned pale.
The cat pricked up its ears but still couldn't hear a word, the noisy discussions and screams were driving her crazy, she couldn't help but let out a loud shout to stop the commotion, the crowd suddenly fell silent.
She thought her protest had been effective, but the next second she turned around and saw something that shouldn't be seen.
Nai Jiu reached out and hooked his arm around Wei Chi's neck, tiptoeing to kiss him, but Wei Chi had his back turned, so Nai Jiu couldn't see his expression.
She could only see his tall and straight back, flaxen hair, from the nape of his neck to his shoulders, a gentle line.
The sunlight outside fell on them, and they were like a pair of devoted and passionate lovers, radiating dazzling brilliance that countless people envied.
My heart sank into emptiness, just like falling from high altitude into water, instantly swallowed by a black whirlpool.
Wei Chi pushed open Nai Jiu, took a few steps back, and leaned against the table.
He lowered his eyes, and his long eyelashes cast a faint shadow on his eyelids.
Hanging her head in shame, silent and flustered.
The corridor fell silent for a few seconds before erupting into scream after scream. Ou Qi turned his face, his calm eyes piercing through the crowd and accurately falling on her.
His deep eyes seemed to hold countless emotions, he opened his mouth, but still didn't make a sound.
She was drowned in the crowd, her eyes met his with a dull gaze, and the next second she pushed through the crowd and rushed out without looking back.
Tears had long been stored in her eyes, but she was desperately holding back, refusing to let them fall.
