Chapter 20 Don't Waste Your Emotions on Me
The next day in class, Yin Ye didn't show up, and strangely enough, Luo Hanxun also didn't come. It was as if the two had planned it together. The simultaneous disappearance of the two people caused a stir among their classmates. However, this news was soon overshadowed by another explosive piece of gossip. Yin Ye and Yi Chen had publicly kissed, and to make matters worse, they even made posters out of it, plastering them in every corner of the school. That's just how schools are - every day brings new and exciting events, yesterday's people and things are covered up by today's news. So no one can be remembered forever.
Ke'er still hasn't recovered from her anger, she doesn't care about Yizhen much, especially after seeing those posters. Now every time she sees Yizhen, it's as if she didn't see him at all, leaving Yizhen helpless.
Yicun also saw those posters, but pretended not to see them.
For several days in a row, Yin Ye and Luo Hanxun seemed to have made an appointment to thoroughly disappear from people's sight. The more absurd rumor was that the two had a big fight and both ended up in the hospital, so neither of them came to class.
Yicun's mood was not good, she didn't know if it was because Yin Ye didn't come to class or because Ke'er still hadn't forgiven her. So for the first time, she skipped class. She walked alone aimlessly and unknowingly arrived at the Wutong Forest. Every single Wutong tree had posters of him and her singing together that day. Deeply gazing into each other's eyes, holding hands, he looking at her, kissing... Looking at these posters, looking at his enchanting eyes. Yicun felt complicated in her heart. In the end, she stopped in front of the poster where they were kissing. On the poster, she had her eyes slightly closed, a faint blush on her snowy face, his long arms gently wrapped around her, and a hint of warmth hidden beneath his cold expression... Under the light, they looked so unrealistically beautiful.
"It seems like Night really likes you." A sudden voice broke through her various thoughts.
Yin Ye's usual smile on his face disappeared. "Do you know? Ye has never let anyone take a photo of him, I didn't expect that for your sake he would go this far. Yizhen, I hope you can leave him."
"We've never been together." The faint tone of Yizhen's words further enraged Yin Ye Ming. "Never been together? Then I ask you, what is this? How do you explain these?" His slender fingers pointed to each tree poster. Yizhen was speechless, maintaining only silence.
"I don't know why you're getting close to him, but I can tell you don't like him. So, I hope you can let all of this go back to the way it was. Please, for my sake." He said with a deep bow.
Yi Chen originally wanted to help him up, just as he was about to touch his clothes, he shrank back. "I understand."
Upon hearing the reply, Yin Ye Ming finally straightened up, only to find that Yi Chen had already left. Don't blame me!
"It's better for them to be far away from me, I shouldn't have let them waste their feelings on me in the first place. Yin Ye is like that, and so is Xiao Er, so just stay far away from me." Yu Chen looked up at the sky with tears welling up in her eyes "Grandma, little dust is so tired. Every day is a struggle, I'm about to collapse. I wish I could go find you right now." The current her had shed all her usual pretenses, fragile like a porcelain doll that would shatter at a touch.
Ke'er has been unhappy these past few days, Luo Hanwen hasn't come to class for several days, not even giving her a chance to apologize. And now she's also at odds with Yi Chen. Every day, she's been frowning. "Ke'er, come out for a bit." Yin Ye Ming beckoned Ke'er from the classroom door.
"Ah, it's smileangle, he's so gentle." "Yes, I think I was dazed by his smile." ...Ke'er blinked her eyes in disbelief, pinched herself hard, and let out a soft cry of pain, only then confirming that she wasn't dreaming. Then, with a burst of energy, she jumped up and ran out quickly.
Two people walked casually, with murderous glances occasionally passing around them. "How have you been lately? Have you made up with Yizhen?" Yin Ye Ming smiled warmer than the sun.
When she heard the mention of Yu Chen, Ke Er's smile suddenly disappeared. She lowered her head and muttered a soft "no".
Yin Ye Ming stroked her lovely hair, "Alright, don't be sulky with her anymore. You can't blame her for what happened that day either, so just don't be angry with her."
"I know it's not her fault, but..." She thought of Han Xun again.
"Alright." Yin Ye Ming stopped and pinched her round little face "You're always frowning, that's not like you. If you keep this up, Brother Ming won't like you anymore."
"Ah?" Ke'er stared at Yin Ye Ming in shock, her face flushing with a hint of redness. "So as long as Ke'er doesn't frown, Brother Ming will like Ke'er?" After asking, she saw Yin Ye Ming nodding with a smile, and her little face turned even redder, her heart racing nonstop.
