Chapter 8: The Taste of Infatuation
When she slightly squatted down, Wang Haodong could see the scenery inside her clothes, and suddenly felt his whole body heat up.
Xiao Yufen raised her head and met Wang Haodong's scorching gaze. As someone who had been through it before, she understood what it meant and knew the charm she possessed would have a certain impact on men. She didn't take offense, but instead blushed slightly and said, "Let's go."
Xiao Yufen is not like some women, you have a strong desire for her, wanting to take liberties with her, she would feel uncomfortable, if you ignore her, say she's ugly and has no charm, perhaps even more uncomfortable, but she is not so sentimental.
Wang Haodong came to himself and saw that she had gotten on, already sitting sideways, one hand grasping the seat to steady herself, the other holding an umbrella, and then got on the vehicle, riding out slowly.
Rumble.
The rumble of thunder rolled by, and the heavy rain poured down, beating against the umbrella, making a loud "patter, patter" sound.
Xiao Yufen sat in the back seat, and the distance between Wang Haodong and her was only a few centimeters. He could clearly smell the fragrance emanating from her body, which was a light scent of shower gel, without any greasy perfume smell, but it made him infatuated, carefully sniffing and savoring it.
Wang Haodong remembered reading in a book that when people of the opposite sex are attracted to each other, first they must have good eye contact, and secondly, they must not give off an unpleasant smell. If someone has a foul odor, it's really difficult for them to be together.
Wang Haodong finally understood the meaning of this sentence at this time, and he rode his bike in silence, not speaking, secretly sniffing the comfortable smell, while Xiao Yufen was also silent.
"Yu Fen, the road is bad, bumpy, be careful." Wang Hao Dong reminded, very evil intentionally choosing the worst roads to drive on, the car started shaking.
Xiao Yufen almost fell over and her right hand instinctively grabbed onto Wang Haodong's clothes.
"Yufen sister, are there any other relatives at your home?" Wang Haodong asked with a smile.
"My parents passed away some years ago, I have a younger brother who works outside and used to come back home for Chinese New Year, but he hasn't returned in recent years. Sometimes we don't even contact each other for the whole year, now it's just me left at home."
Xiao Yufen asked after she finished speaking: "What are you asking this for?"
"I'm very curious about you."
"What's so curious about me?"
"Since we are neighbors, let's get to know each other when we meet next time."
The conversation has started, and the atmosphere is no longer silent.
"I heard you're from the city, what brings you here?"
"Come here for a vacation." Wang Haodong said it very casually, but didn't want people to know that he had come to this remote rural area to escape after getting into a fight with someone.
As she spoke, Wang Haodong turned his face back, and under her half-dampened shirt, he could see a beauty that made him unable to look away.
Xiao Yufen's face turned red and her heart skipped a beat as she said with a pout, "What are you looking at? Watch the road, don't get into an accident."
"Oh, okay, okay." Wang Haodong smiled foolishly and quickly turned his face, focusing on riding his bike.
As they walked further, Wang Haodong and Xiao Yufen occasionally chatted a few words, getting to know each other roughly. When they arrived at the town, the cement road conditions improved, and there was no more mud. He gradually sped up and asked, "Sister Yufen, do you know where I can buy a phone card?"
"Just ahead of the fifty-meter turn, there is also a grain and oil store on that side, I'll go buy things there too."
"Alright, I'll speed up then, you hold on tight and steady yourself."
Following Xiao Yufen's directions, Wang Haodong quickly arrived at the business hall. The eaves here are very large and can block wind and rain. He hurriedly pushed the car up and patted the water droplets on his body.
"Wang Haodong, thank you very much, you go busy with your own things, I'll go take a look at the grain and oil store." After finishing speaking, Xiao Yufen left directly.
Looking at her back, Wang Haodong's face revealed a smile.
The rain is getting heavier and heavier, showing no signs of stopping at all.
Wang Haodong didn't plan to use his old number anymore, so he went to the business hall and bought a new card. He tried operating it for a bit, and the internet speed was quite fast. He bundled traffic, with 1G of traffic per month, which was enough for browsing news online, saving him from being bored to death in the countryside without entertainment.
"This rain is endless, when will it stop?"
Wang Haodong muttered to himself, came out and saw Xiao Yufen, carrying a bag of rice, a bucket of oil, and holding an umbrella, looking exhausted. He quickly walked over and said, "Sister Yufen, let me help you."
"It's okay, I can make it."
"You don't consider me a friend?" Wang Haodong smiled, and while she was stunned for a moment, he snatched the rice bag away, tidied up the plastic rain cover on the bag, and said: "Since we're both here, let's walk together."
"Alright then." Xiao Yufen thought for a moment and didn't refuse either.
"Do you want to buy anything else?"
"I want to go buy some vegetables." Xiao Yufen said, looking around at the street. Today's heavy rain had kept away many of the usual crowd, and only a few scattered people were out. If it had been a sunny day like usual, the place would have been packed.
"Then take me to the vegetable market and have a look. I'm not familiar with this place, so it's good that you can bring me here to get familiar with the environment."
"Alright." Xiao Yufen nodded briskly.
Downstairs, the two went to the vegetable market. Along the way, Xiao Yufen introduced Wang Haodong to some of the more important and attractive places on the street.
The streets in this town are not very large, with a total length of less than three thousand meters. The main streets are mostly vegetable markets, but today it's raining and only a few stalls have set up shop, selling some common seasonal vegetables.
Xiao Yufen finished shopping, bought some vegetables and meat, and was about to head home. It's a gloomy day with rain, so it's better to go home early.
On the way back, they passed by a breakfast shop that sold buns and vegetable soup. Wang Haodong hadn't eaten much in the morning and had expended a lot of energy cycling over, so he was already feeling hungry. Xiao Yufen was anxious to get back, so she simply bought some take-out.
"Yufen, try some of these buns."
Xiao Yufen hastily shook her head, "Thanks, I'm not hungry, I ate a lot this morning."
"Just try one." Wang Hao Dong wouldn't give up, insisting that she taste it. She had no choice but to take one and start eating.
It is said that a strong woman fears a nagging husband, and Wang Haodong played exactly this trick. After repeated contact, he also figured out Xiao Yufen's personality, which was the kind of person who would yield to soft words but not to force. By speaking softly and coaxing her for a while, he could achieve his own goals.
After eating several buns, Wang Haodong put the rice bag in the car basket. This small bag of rice only weighed twenty kilograms and wouldn't crush the basket. It was covered with a layer of plastic bags to prevent rain and getting wet.
"Yu Fen, sister, get on the car, I'll take you back."
"Alright, thank you."
"We are neighbors, not strangers, don't be so polite." Wang Haodong said with a smile, and after she got on, he rode the bike forward, rushing into the layers of rain.
