Chapter 60: Yin Shaofengs Confession

  Section 60: Yin Shaofeng's Confession

"Is tonight New Year's Eve?" I asked Yin Shaofeng again, not daring to be certain.

Yin Shaofeng nodded mechanically, then quickly gathered up the instant noodles on the table and said: "Come on, I'll take you to eat something delicious. It can't be so miserable on New Year's Eve, hehe..."

Before I could react, Yin Shaofeng had already pulled me out of the door by my hand.

Just as we were about to board the car, Yin Shaofeng suddenly turned around and smiled at me: "Wait a minute, did I just say something wrong?"

It took me a long time to react and I replied: "No!"

But in her heart, she was thinking about tomorrow.

Tomorrow is the first day of Lunar New Year, but it's also the engagement day for Wang Zijun and Yin Shasha.

Yin Shaofeng stopped the car in front of a high-end restaurant, and when the door opened, I didn't react at all. He asked, "Chuxia, what's wrong? We're here!"

"Uh... sorry." Forced a faint smile and got off the bus.

Suddenly felt very down, didn't have any appetite to eat anything, but Yin Shaofeng actually ordered a lot and kept clinking dishes.

So as not to let him know I was unhappy, I reluctantly ate some.

As I walked out of the restaurant, I felt both physically and mentally exhausted. When I got home, I just wanted to go back to my room to take a bath and rest, but Yin Shaofeng grabbed my hand instead.

I turned around, but saw a different Yín Shǎo Fēng.

He looked very serious, no longer like the mischievous kid he usually was. With a solemn face, he said: "Maybe you have someone you like, but I've liked you since the first time I saw you, Xia Xia. Will you be my girlfriend? I want to see you happy and don't want to see you sad or worried."

I'm shocked, he speaks Chinese so fluently, I'm sure he must have practiced these few sentences.

There was a slight flutter in her heart, but as soon as she thought of Wang Zijun, that slight flutter disappeared instantly.

"Sorry, Shao Feng, I really have someone I like. I said we can't..."

"Didn't he make you so sad? You left home, wasn't it... because of him? He didn't come to find..." Yun Shao Feng's signature Chinese-English mix.

"Don't say any more, if you don't want me to hate you then don't say anything else." I struggled free from his grasp and turned to go upstairs.

Yin Shaofeng didn't stop me again, but asked in a very tense tone: "Why, why can't I?"

"Because your Chinese is too poor, I don't like guys who are really bad at Chinese. Goodnight!" I randomly made up an excuse to brush him off.

Actually, I don't know why either, and it's not that I intentionally want to hurt him, but I just can't find that feeling from him, the kind of feeling I have for Wang Zijun.
