Chapter One Hundred and Twelve He Has Gone Mad
Golden sunshine shines brightly on every peaceful and loving face, overflowing happiness adds a touch of warmth to the originally cool old people's home.
Grandpa and grandma lay comfortably in the chair to bask in the sun after lunch, with someone carefully serving them by their side, living a very comfortable life.
In the quietness, there are occasionally birds chirping, a gentle breeze brushing against the face, and fresh air that makes one feel carefree. At such a wonderful moment, an old man suddenly poked his head out of the gate, sneaking a peek at the situation inside the courtyard with a cunning look on his face.
"Xiao Wei, you've arrived, why don't you come in?" The dean asked as he walked back from outside and saw Xiao Wei standing at the door, his voice carrying into the courtyard where Grandpa and Grandma were watching.
Xiao Wei felt embarrassed and scratched her head, politely asking the director, "I haven't come to see my grandparents for three weeks, I'm too ashamed to go in."
"What's wrong with that? They've been thinking of you, hurry up and go in! Uncle and Auntie, Xiaowei has come to see you! But this child is afraid you'll blame her for not coming for too long, so she doesn't dare to enter."
"Xiao Wei, come in quickly! We won't blame you, we're happy to see you, just come over!" Chen Nainai waved her hand, smiling with a mouthful of scattered teeth and gums exposed.
Grandfathers and grandmothers saw her, all of them waved their hands especially kindly, even though there are more caregivers in the nursing home now, but in the hearts of the elderly, only Xiaowei is the best.
Seeing her grandparents still being so close, Xiaowei happily ran in and warmly greeted the caregivers, with a heart full of gratitude.
She remembered that at the time, Yin Teng Ye said he would send someone to take care of the elderly, and she thought he was joking, but unexpectedly he put it into practice. Most importantly, this person is still here until now.
It seems she has indeed brought him a great deal of trouble.
"Xiao Wei, why did you come alone? Where's that yellow-haired kid who's as handsome as me? Why didn't he come with you?" Liu Shuai Ge stroked his sparse hair, always with a very confident expression.
"That's right, last week when he came, he even asked us why you didn't come, aren't you classmates in the same class?" Aunt Qi nodded in agreement and showed a curious expression, asking: "How did you two little couples quarrel for so long?"
"Hey, Auntie! What are you talking about? We're just classmates, don't talk nonsense!" Xiaowei hastily waved her hand in denial. Fortunately, this wasn't at school and the principal wasn't around; if she had heard that, it would have been disastrous!
"Don't talk nonsense. He came for three weeks when you didn't, kept asking about you and said you two had a fight. You ignored him and he was heartbroken."
"He comes to see you every weekend?" Little Wei was surprised, for the mid-term exam, three weeks didn't come, didn't think...
Suddenly, she felt a pang of despair in her heart. Clearly, it was something that could have been touched, yet it slipped away. But even if they had touched, wouldn't they still have to maintain their distance like they did in school? Wasn't it impossible for her to be 'bold' anywhere else outside of school?
A glimmer of astonishment flashed in her eyes, and Xiao Wei seemed to be frightened by that tiny, almost imperceptible ** within herself.
Was she really thinking of not keeping a distance from Yīn Téngyè? She had promised the Director that she would be able to do it, but...
"He didn't come to see us, he came looking for you. As soon as he arrived, he was looking around everywhere and asking if you were here. He might even come looking for you again later." Aunt Zhao pouted, showing a bit of displeasure.
As soon as she heard this, Xiaowei waved her hand and said, "If he comes, tell him I've never been here!" Taking advantage of not having seen his figure yet, Xiaowei quickly pulled the principal into the house and asked urgently: "Principal, is there any news about my birth mother?"
The principal looked down apologetically and shook her head helplessly. She had asked everyone she could, or even dragged friends to ask, but there was no news.
"Xiao Wei, don't be discouraged, I believe you will definitely find her." The principal patted her head, sincerely hoping she could find her biological mother.
"Ah, thank you Dean, I've been troubling you for so long to help me find it, I'm really sorry, I..."
Just then, a sudden cheer came from outside, "Ah! Yellow-haired kid, you're here again! You've come to find Xiaowei again!"
Liu Shuai's voice immediately reached Xiao Wei's ears, and she was frightened to hide in the house, urgently telling the principal: "Don't say I'm here at all costs!"
The principal hastily nodded, a bit flustered, and quickly walked out of the house with a smile all over his face to greet him: "Hello hello, you're here again."
The principal's words were somewhat unnatural, but he tried to maintain a calm demeanor as he stared at Yin Tengye with a smile, afraid that he would discover Xiao Wei in the room.
"Hello, Dean." Yin Tengye also politely asked for a good greeting, but when the dean looked at himself with a smile, he felt a bit uncomfortable in his ears and awkwardly hooked the corner of his lips, then looked at Grandpa and Grandma.
"Has Xiao Wei still not come today?"
"Not! Not coming!" The principal hastily replied, his smile stiff and awkward.
Director Yin Tong looked strange today, and couldn't help but suspect. He glanced at Liu Shuai with a white eye, and Liu Shuai moved his eyes to the other side of the house.
Receiving the information, Yin Tongye nodded slightly and intentionally raised his voice, saying: "Since she's not here, I'll leave first. I'll come again next time, goodbye Grandpa and Grandma!"
The footsteps faded into the distance, and Xiao Wei listened carefully outside, peeked out cautiously, and confirmed that he had left before letting out a sigh of relief, bidding farewell to everyone, and rushing towards the outer courtyard.
She ran for a while, her footsteps slowing down, and she slowed down to a leisurely walk. Alone, although looking a bit lonely, but the smile of gratitude on her face always caught his attention, making him unable to look away.
Yin Tingye quietly followed her for a long distance, originally intending to silently send her home, but his footsteps quickened of their own accord and he found himself unintentionally walking alongside her, shoulder to shoulder.
One step, two steps, three...
"Oh! You!" She was still wondering who was walking close to her when she suddenly turned around and was startled, freezing in place, staring at him in terror.
"Hey, don't be so surprised, it's like I'm scary or something." Yin Tongye deliberately put his hands on his hips, pouted and puffed out his cheeks to act cute, not wanting the atmosphere to become awkward.
Looking at his mischievous appearance, Xiaowei wrinkled her brow, pretending to be unhappy, but in her heart, butterflies were dancing.
"Have you been following me all along? Why are you following me! Don't follow me! And, it's nothing big, don't talk to me!" She said the words that went against her heart quickly, and she wanted to leave, but as soon as she lifted one foot, the other was also lifted, and both feet left the ground instantly. Subconsciously, she stretched out her hand to wrap around his neck.
"You! What are you going to do?!" Unexpectedly, he scooped her up in his arms, and instantly all the blood in her body was boiling, her heart racing, her cheeks burning hot!
Is he crazy? Where is he going to take her?
