Chapter Eighty-two
Xiao Su gave me a slightly resentful glance, "You've made his male god sound like a devil, honestly."
"Ball of male god."
I gave her an irredeemable look.
"This girl, she gave me a white eye, picked up the notebook on the table and held it tightly in her hand, gritted her teeth, as if making some kind of decision. The next second, she rushed forward again and hugged my arm tightly, 'Xiao Qingqing, Xiao Hehe, Xiao Qinghe, I also want to take the initiative to find them two to ask for autographs, but you know my personality is too introverted, and I don't talk much. From the day they came to this class until now, I have never spoken to them once, nor have I ever greeted them. If I were to go ask for their autograph so suddenly, I would definitely be despised by them.'"
"Aren't you afraid? I will also be despised by them?"
I frowned and looked at her with disdain.
Seeing her with her hands under her chin and a heavy thinking face, I suddenly felt a warmth in my heart, this sister is still on my side at the critical moment.
But then she suddenly woke up and said: "It won't work, they seem to have a good relationship with you, go find them and ask for their autograph, they shouldn't look down on you."
"You should know it's what you should do."
I was so angry that I almost shouted out loud, but since class had already started, I could only hold it in and threatened her instead: "You heartless friend, next period I'll go tell Chen Jie all about what you've been up to these past few days."
"No way!"
She held her hands together, looking pitiful, "Xia Qinghe, you can't treat me like this. We've been childhood friends and sworn sisters since we were kids. If you're going to be like this to me, how bleak and miserable my life would be."
"Alright, stop pretending, it's not like the sky is going to fall."
"Thanks then."
She smiled and said, turning around and running back to her seat.
This afternoon, Tang Renjie didn't come to class. I sat with the fox, you didn't look at me, and I didn't look at you. We got along quite well, but near the end of school, we were called into the office by our head teacher.
"What's going on? Skipping class in the first period, are you fed up with living?"
She adjusted her metal glasses with one hand and swung her pointer with the other, as if she was about to shatter the glass covering on the table.
The fox had both hands in his pockets, with an air of not being concerned about anything, shaking his head and looking around the entire office again and again, nodding while shaking his head, wondering what he was thinking.
"Sorry, teacher, we know we were wrong."
I was sweating profusely and couldn't bring myself to be as nonchalant as him, so I kept bowing and apologizing to the teacher.
Lowering his voice in apology, this was the first time in his life, the first time he had made such a mistake, thinking it was because of the fox, and feeling somewhat resentful in his heart.
"Xia Qinghe, you also know that the reason why you can enter Sheng De High School is completely because of your excellent grades. If it weren't for your exceptionally high middle school entrance exam scores, with your family background, how could you possibly get into a high school like Sheng De?"
"Yes, teacher, I know all of what you just said."
His head hung even lower, his eyes suddenly felt a bit sour, as if tears were about to flow out. He clenched his teeth and forced himself to hold back, not wanting to do anything else embarrassing again.
"Tomorrow each of you will hand in a 10,000-word self-criticism essay and also go apologize to the English teacher."
The class teacher stretched out his hand and adjusted the metal frame of his glasses on the bridge of his nose, looking at me.
"Yes, teacher."
I don't know how I walked out of the office, or how I walked out of school. All along the way, my mind was a complete mess, and tears that could no longer be controlled kept falling down, I wiped them with my sleeve, but they just kept coming.
