Chapter Twenty-Two

A nine-tailed fox fell from the sky

"Hey, hey, hey, what do you want to do?"

The words had barely left his lips when he was lifted up again.

"Hey, you stinky fox, let me go quickly."

I was lying on his shoulder, desperately pounding his back.

"Stinky fox, stinky fox, you stinky fox. Let me down quickly."

"Smack, smack, smack!" He slapped him a few times on the butt, "What's with you, at your slow pace, by the time we find that cockroach, it's likely to have been killed by that female ghost already."

"Who are you fooling?" I punched him in the back again, "This illusion was created by that female ghost, she's still busy combing her hair by the river, how would she have time to harm Zhang Ruo Fei?"

"You say your chest is small, but your brain is even smaller. Now go back and take a look, is that female ghost still there?"

I listened to him saying that, curiously turned my head back, the female ghost by the riverbank was indeed no longer there, suddenly felt anxious in my heart, urged: "Hurry up, hurry up, let's go find him."

"If you want me to go, I'll go!"

He was very unhappy and turned his head to glare at me.

He was slapped several times on the buttocks, and then he didn't say much, suddenly jumped up, leaped over the river, and reached the other side of the river.

At this moment, I have no choice but to look at him with new eyes. This is not a fox spirit, it's clearly a kangaroo spirit.

The weeds on the other side of the river were lush and tall, all the way to his knees. I thought that if I were walking on the ground now, those weeds should have reached my waist. He suddenly jumped onto a tree, and then jumped into the grass again, really like a kangaroo spirit.

He suddenly stopped and put me down from his shoulder to the ground, with a solemn look in his eyes, "Is there any cotton flower on your hand?"

"Cotton flower?" I was a bit skeptical if I had misheard it, when did demon-slaying still use cotton flowers, what a rare thing.

He seemed somewhat anxious and suddenly shouted loudly, "Is it cotton flower, cotton flower? You stupid thirteen generations, do you have cotton flower in your hand?"

"My goodness! So fierce, I was startled and took a step back. I patted myself all over to make sure I wasn't dreaming, it's been so many years since I've seen cotton grow. Now, where can I find that rare thing?"

He furrowed his brow, took a step forward, and scared me half to death. His face seemed to be having trouble believing it, he stretched out his hand and patted my chest, damn it, molested my chest, but at this moment, I didn't have the guts to shout loudly at him.

  "Stinky thirteen, you cheated me."

  "Huh?"

I wore a bewildered expression, staring blankly as he pulled out a small napkin from my pocket. Then, his eyebrows furrowed again, and he pinched it several times in his hand before looking up at me with a curious gaze.

I was just about to explain to him when he suddenly smiled and said, "Just use this one, there's no cotton flower, this can barely be used to hold on for a while."

He stretched out his hand and wrapped me in his chest, scaring my body to tremble again, but unexpectedly, he tore off the napkin, crumpled it into a small ball and stuffed it into my ear, then smiled with satisfaction.

The whole time, I was in a daze. He no longer carried me on his back, but instead held my arm and led me into the dense forest.

At first, I didn't notice anything unusual, but as I walked deeper into the woods, I felt increasingly strange.
