Chapter 94
"Wow! That was close, you're okay!"
At this time, Grim was vigilantly staring at Haraso, while Haraso looked back at us with a puzzled expression.
"Great! You're okay, it's really great! Let's hurry up and go!"
Hala said, and then came forward to pull my hand.
"It's time to go, but we have to get rid of you first before we can leave!"
The scythe's voice was cold and I looked at it with suspicion. Did the scythe know what it was saying?!
"Xue Er, he's not Harasou! Haven't you noticed how strange he is? Think about it, would the real Harasou abandon me like that?"
Scythe's words made me pause for a moment, and I turned my head to look at Haraso! That damn hallucination has appeared again! But is this really just a hallucination? Why in my eyes, Haraso's body is slowly rotting away.
"Sickle, what's wrong with you? I thought you would understand"
Hara's innocent eyes looked at Kama.
I slightly broke free from the sickle's embrace, and now at this moment, I suddenly found myself unable to believe the two men in front of me. Who is true and who is false, or are both true but there's some misunderstanding between them, or are both fake?
"I can't believe either of you two."
I glanced at Scythe and then at Haraso, saying in a cold tone.
"Xue Er, what you're doing is right. At a time like this, it's best not to trust either of us two."
Hala's voice was as cold as mine. I couldn't tell if he was intentionally trying to make me believe him or not.
"Xue Er, I'm your brother, can't you trust me? Just now I accidentally fell behind and finally caught up with you."
Scythe stretched out his hand, wanting to hold mine, I coldly smiled and shook off Scythe's hand.
"You're not my brother, and you'll never use that tone with me."
A spark flashed at his fingertips, and I gazed coldly at the man in front of me who looked exactly like him.
"Who are you?"
"Xue Er, I'm really tired!"
It seemed like I had scared him, and I noticed his legs trembling slightly.
"If I don't say it, then don't blame me for being impolite!"
Flames suddenly climbed up the man's body, and I saw him struggling in the firelight before falling down.
you
Hala So's eyes widened in terror, as if he hadn't expected me to do this.
"Don't come over!!"
The spark in my hand has not gone out yet, just now, I suddenly understood something. Maybe everything I see now is just an illusion! That Haraso and that sickle are all just my illusions!
"I have no reason to believe you"
As soon as the voice fell, the spark in my hand rushed towards Haraso, and in an instant, flames erupted around me. I watched coldly as the sparks surrounded me, the space where I could stand getting smaller and smaller. Gently closing my eyes, a faint red glow emanated from my body. When I opened them again, everything had vanished. In the vast forest, only I was left standing. I turned around and ran back in the direction I came from at incredible speed.
Hala so, sickle, hold on! I'm coming for you now
By the brook, the water washed over Haraso's body. I took a step forward and carefully stepped into the water to lift up Haraso who had fallen into the brook. Haraso's eyebrows were tightly knitted together as if he was going through some sort of nightmare.
"Hey, wake up! Don't be fooled by illusions!"
Hala seemed to have heard my call, her long eyelashes quivering slightly as she slowly opened her eyes.
Xue Er?
Dazedly looking at me, I faintly smiled back at Haraso.
"We've fallen for the lowest level of illusion, let's get up and go find Scythe."
Hala's eyes still shone with confusion, but there was no time to explain. I grabbed Hala's hand and quickly ran back along the original path. From a distance, I saw Jian lying in the middle of the road. Rushing forward anxiously, Jian, like Hala, had his eyebrows tightly furrowed together, as if he was experiencing some kind of painful ordeal.
"Scythe, wake up!"
I gently picked up the sickle that had fallen to the ground and patted its cheek.
Hmm
The sickle seemed to have come to slightly.
"What's wrong with me?"
"It's nothing, we've all been hallucinating! Damn it! It must be this thing that's causing it. To think we fell for something so low-level!"
Hala So pointed to a nearby tree, and upon closer inspection, it seemed that the tree was densely covered with a group of small insects. If I'm not mistaken, it should be the sound waves they emitted that caused us to hallucinate.
