Chapter 8: A Series of Misfortunes

Chapter 8: A Series of Misfortunes

Dizzy, all the way I saw myself walking alone in the campus, many silly men stared at me with drooling mouths, and some even kept making passes at me...

Just as I was about to open the classroom door, a flustered voice sounded from behind me:

"Hui Zhen! Don't open the door!!"

Unfortunately, it's too late... Along with the screams of my classmates, a bucket of dirty water fell from above my head...

"Ah!!!! How could it be Hye-jin who came in!!!!" Some girls cried out in a panic.

"Oh no!! The dirty water splashed on Hye-jin!! What should we do now?!" some girls cried out anxiously.

"Oh no!! If Hye-jin catches a cold, I'll be heartbroken to death!! Quick, get the towel!!" Some boys shouted with concern.

I slowly opened my eyes and saw my classmates busy wiping me down, and my heart felt even colder...

  "Let go." I said coldly.

My classmates heard what I said, hesitated for a moment, and seeing me covered in stinky water, continued to wipe me down.

"Let go." My voice was icy and terrifying.

They sensed the chill in my tone and gradually stopped what they were doing, looking at me with guilty expressions.

"Who organized this." I squinted at the classmates in front of me.

"Hui Zhen... actually..." Several girls were too timid and didn't know what to say.

"It was organized by everyone together..." Finally a few boys mustered up the courage to say it out loud.

"If it wasn't for me getting splashed by this bucket of water, I'm afraid Luo Chen would be the one getting soaked instead?"

"Uh..." The classmates exchanged a glance and hung their heads in guilt.

"I told you not to bully him again, did you take my words as nothing but a breeze in your ears?" I glared at them fiercely.

"No... nothing! We'd love to hear what Hye-jin has to say, of course! But..."

"But Ou Luo Chen really looks very out of place, he doesn't fit in with our group!"

The girls didn't dare say anything more, so the boys added.

"Is it just because his family is poor?" I sneered.

"Not only that, but his appearance is also hurting our eyes!" said some flower-crazy girls.

"Appearance is something you're born with, it's not something he can control, what's wrong with him? Although his family is poor, he got into this school based on his own abilities, he's a truly respectable person! Are your kindness and respect towards me just because of my good background and looks?! Do you judge people solely based on these external conditions?!"

I really don't understand, is power so important in their eyes?

"Hui Zhen... you misunderstood, of course not! We truly like and respect you!" The classmates said in unison.

"Hui Zhen..." A pleasant voice suddenly came from behind me...
